Chapter Thirty-Seven Item Nine Unlocked
It's dawn, waiting for Sun Yang and Park Tae-hwan's peak battle
Fate is like a lottery, you never know what you will draw?
Life is like rape, if you can't resist it, then spread your legs and enjoy it.
On the podium, Yan Luo Wang was counting the list of students who lived on campus after school started. The sunlight shone through the window and sprinkled on his face, making him feel hot and his face turned red. Officer Neng wiped the sweat from his face with his left hand and fanned himself vigorously with his right hand holding a language textbook, muttering: "Damn weather."
Looking at Xiang Beibei who was also sweating profusely, he asked: "Do you board?"
Bai Bai casually picked up a book from Shang Guan Neng Ren and gently flipped through it, chuckling: "And you?"
"Why use mine? My book is still new!" Upper official Nengren was very depressed.
"Hehe, my backpack has a book cover, it's very pretty, can't bear to use it."
"Hmm..." Shang Guan Neng Ren looked at the neatly packaged textbooks in front of Bei Bei, then glanced at his own "Emperor's New Clothes", cleared his throat and said: "Forget it, just use them!"
"Hesitated for a moment: 'I didn't plan on boarding now, it's not free.'"
Xiang Beibei smiled and nodded: "I didn't plan to live in school either, and..." As she said this, Xiang Beibei's eyes rolled around, smiling at Shang Guan Nengren as if saying: Ask me!
Shangguan's face turned black with three lines, and he said gloomily: "And what?"
"And besides..." He smiled at BeiBei, gently fanning himself and turning his head to gaze out the window, saying softly: "No one dares to live in the same dorm as me."
"Hmm..." Officer Shang nodded his head, thinking the same thing.
Just as I was about to say something, I saw Beibei's back and suddenly felt a sense of discord. Rubbing my eyes, I didn't know if it was just my imagination, but Beibei's back seemed to be shrouded in a hint of melancholy.
It's just an illusion!
Shangguan Nengren shook his head, poked Beibei's arm with his elbow, turned back to Beibei and smiled: "What are you doing?"
It was just an illusion after all.
"Cough, I think so!" Shangguan Neng rubbed his head and said: "I think you're a pretty good person, it's just that you occasionally get violent... Cough, if you could be gentle to that extent, you'll definitely make many friends."
"Hehe, is that so?" She smiled at Beibei and tidied up her messy hair in front of her forehead, saying softly: "Maybe it is! But I'm just this kind of person. If you can't stand my temper, then it's better not to get close to me."
"That's not right." Shang Guan Neng retorted, "My dad once said that making friends is a mutual thing. Everyone has their shortcomings, but as friends, you have to tolerate each other's shortcomings. Because when you're tolerating the other person's shortcomings, they're also tolerating yours. People who don't understand giving and are self-centered can't make friends. I think you're not someone who can't give for others either, although... cough, a bit self-centered, but overall you're still okay! If only you could put aside your pride a bit..."
"Hehehe......" Beibei's laughter interrupted Shangguan Yunpeng's words.
Shangguan Nengren said with a sullen face: "What are you laughing at? Am I wrong?"
"Hehe, that's right." Beibei smiled and fanned the wind, saying meaningfully: "But it's not that a wolf can put down its guard and become friends with sheep just like that."
Wolf and sheep?
"What I'm saying is about friends, what are you dragging wolves and sheep into? Are you a sheep?" Shang Guan was puzzled.
Babe's eyes curved like a crescent moon: "Hehe, if I'm a sheep, then others are the green grass."
Shangguan Nengren was annoyed: "Can't you just speak clearly? Always being so evasive and insincere."
"That's just how I am!" He smiled at Beibei, tossed the book to Shangguan Nian'er, and turned his head to gaze out the window.
I'm just like this!
"Too profound." Officer Nangeng let out a sound, wiped the sweat from his face, and picked up an English book. The content was extremely abstruse, at least to the previous Officer Nangeng, but now seeing the content of the book, Officer Nangeng flipped through seven or eight pages, with a disdainful expression he threw it onto the desk: "so easy."
This guy's appearance is so detestable that it makes one want to slap him more than 6,400 times.
He picked up a physics book again, flipped through it casually, and broke out in cold sweat. His eyes gleamed with mischief as he stared at his classmates: "F-grade physics, where are you?"
……
On the first day of school, they mainly dealt with some miscellaneous matters, such as rearranging seats, electing class cadres, determining the number of boarders, and so on. There were no classes, but there was evening self-study in the evening. After solving those miscellaneous matters in the afternoon, Yan Luo Wang handed over some tasks and announced the end of school.
Xiang Beibei was in the first group, responsible for cleaning today, but as soon as Yan Luo Wang announced the end of school, Xiang Beibei immediately stood up and squeezed out from behind Shang Guan Nengren.
It's unknown whether it was intentional or unintentional, but as she squeezed outwards, her chest poked forward slightly and just happened to brush against Principal Nangeng's head. Principal Nangeng shuddered, turned his head to look at Xiang Beibei, who gave a faint smile, and walked out of the classroom nonchalantly. The newly elected group leader didn't dare make a sound, and let her go just like that.
The whole class is used to it, and in the past year, Zhang Tingting has talked to Beibei about this several times, but each time Zhang Tingting would get angry enough, and after a long time, even Zhang Tingting, who had perseverance beyond ordinary people, no longer cared about Beibei's affairs, and Beibei became the only one in the class who was detached from the collective.
Shangguan Neng didn't say anything, after all, it was just a small matter of being on duty, and with fewer people, there wasn't much to do. Moreover, he was still immersed in the feeling of her chest from earlier and couldn't extricate himself, so he didn't have the heart to bother with this kind of thing.
Although these few encounters during the summer vacation allowed him to recognize a brand new Wei Bei, Wei Bei's ruthlessness also took up residence in his heart.
Upper garment trousers, Upper Officer was helpless and sighed, just about to leave, but the twenty or so male students in the class rushed over, all of them patted Upper Officer's arm vigorously: "Brother, take care, the people will remember you!"
"Brother, whatever you want to say, just say it, as long as we can do it, there's no need for further discussion!"
"Buddy, what do you want to eat? I'll buy it for you."
"How much Jade Emperor do you want?"
“……”
The superior was so angry that he almost died on the spot and suddenly flew into a rage: "Get out! All of you get out!"
With a loud whoosh, the world became quiet.
"Hmph!" Magistrate Ouyang spat out saliva and felt a great sense of satisfaction in his heart: "I'd like to see who dares to fine me!"
The most refreshing thing is not just this, just now, Shang Guan Neng's brain kept sending prompt tones.
"Discovered E-class piano talent, host's ability is insufficient, unable to absorb."
"Found F-class calligraphy skills, will you absorb?"
"Found D-level math ability, host capability insufficient, unable to absorb."
"Found F-class physical ability, is it absorbed?"
"Found F-grade language skills, will absorb?"
"Found F-class historical ability, will it be absorbed?"
"Discovery..."
Most of them are unable to absorb due to insufficient ability, but a small number of abilities fully conform to the category that can be absorbed by the superior officer, and as expected, most of them are related to learning.
After selecting, the top officials chose to absorb F-level physics, F-level language, F-level history, F-level chemistry, and F-level politics. In this way, scholars only need to make up for mathematics and geography, two sub-items, to complete the task. With so many people in the school, it's really simple to absorb these two items.
But Shangguan Long also faced a difficult problem.
Grade F calligraphy.
To smoke or not to smoke?
To talk about calligraphy, because it has absorbed F-level forgery, and F-level forgery includes forgery of books and paintings, so currently Shangguan Yiren's calligraphy and painting abilities are both available. But since this ability is already present, why does the system still show absorbable calligraphy ability? Is there something different about this?
Hesitating for a moment, Shangguan Neng clenched his teeth and decided to absorb it. Since it was a system classification, there must be a reason for it. Maybe this would open up a whole new category.
"Absorption successful, host obtains F-grade calligraphy. Since calligraphy belongs to the sub-item of 'Art', the ninth major item 'Art' is unlocked."
Art?
Shangguan Nengren quickly brought out the ninth ability, and found that art was a very simple major item, with only four sub-items: qin, qi, shu, and hua, which were very Chinese in style.
Qin: [qin, se], Qi: [Go, Chinese chess], Shu: [calligraphy], Hua: [Chinese painting].
This is essentially the skills that ancient Chinese literati and poets must have to cultivate their moral character, were those ancient literati and poets all artists? These artists were not worth much in ancient times!
Many people today find it unbelievable, but in fact, the scholars of modern and ancient times are not the same concept. The scholars of ancient times were truly knowledgeable and capable. Some students spent their entire lives unable to pass even the lowest level of imperial examination, the "xiucai" degree. Fan Jin was 54 years old when he passed the imperial examination, and at that time, everyone was overjoyed, which shows just how difficult it was to achieve a high rank in ancient times.
But what about modern writers? Better not say!
Moreover, the four items of qin, qi, shu and hua are not easy to practice well. In thousands of years of Chinese history, there have been only a few people who can cultivate all four abilities to a very high level. Those who reach a certain state will be famous for eternity.
For example, the calligraphy saint Wang Xizhi, the painting saint Wu Daozi, and the chess saint Huang Longshi - how high their reputation is, foreigners do not know, but few Chinese people do not know. As for the qin saint? In ancient times, there was no one who was promoted as a qin saint, but there was a music saint named Li Kuiyuan.
But in ancient times, there were many good zither players, such as Yu Boya, whose "High Mountain and Flowing Water" has been passed down for thousands of years. In modern times, there is also the blind Abing's "Moon Reflected on Two Springs". Some people may say that Abing played the erhu, but in ancient times, the erhu was called the huqin, which is also a type of zither. Even the pipa belongs to the zither category.
Some people say that the Se is also a kind of Guqin, which is indeed correct, but in the history of Chinese musical instruments, only two instruments appeared earliest, namely Guqin and Se, both invented by Fuxi.
The zither originally had only five strings, later became seven strings, but the se had fifty strings. Li Shangyin's "Brocade Zither" writes very clearly: Brocade zither has fifty strings for no reason, fifty strings, referring to the se.
With its unique historical status, the qin and se have been divided into two categories. The combination of qin and se has a romantic connotation, such as "qin-se harmony" and "qin-se friendship", implying a harmonious relationship between husband and wife, with a sense of praise.
Like mandarin ducks and phoenix, the harmony of male and female, intimacy without interval, eternal inseparability. The zither and se are also like this, with the meaning of yin-yang harmony, so it is not surprising that the zither and se are divided into two categories.
But these four sub-items, Guqin, books and paintings are fine in the art category, but Weiqi is obviously a competitive type, why does it also belong to the sub-item of art? Shangguan Yiren can't figure it out.
Is it because of the style of writing?
Forget it. Let's just focus on music, chess, calligraphy and painting then! Consider it as personal cultivation, maybe one day my own calligraphy and paintings will be priceless, and I can experience the thrill of being an art master.
At this moment, he absorbed the F-level calligraphy, and Shangguan Nengren didn't feel anything, after all, his ability to fake it had this aspect, but there was also a kind of indescribable difference, purely a feeling, very subtle.
