Chapter 52: Onward With Faith!
(Celia’s POV)
Faith was actually just doing a bit, if you didn’t get that. Once Maralia left, the live stream thingy started once more. Faith didn’t make any advances toward me, as if she did, my infidelity would be broadcast to quintillions of people…
It goes without saying, but Faith also didn’t speak those words in a way that others would hear. And by that, I mean that she talked to me via our minds. How romantic…
Celia: “What did you do while Maralia was keeping me busy?” I asked with a curious tone.
Faith: “…You figured out that I got out of your soul, and received a body, prior to me showing up in your bed? Maralia actually ratted me out!?” She nervously replied.
Celia: “No rat was outed, Faith. I just made a good guess.” I giggily replied.
Faith: “Damn… I outed myself, huh?” She pouted in reply.
This is Faith we’re talking about, a woman who pretends to be silly, but is actually a major schemer. With a body, and pure freedom to do as she pleased, Faith most likely did far more than just visit her mother.
Faith: “Ah, okay. It isn’t anything that you shouldn’t know about. I visited Sava, and before that, I helped Alenta take over True Hell.” She admitted.
Celia: “???”
Faith: “?”
Celia: “…”
She wasn’t even slightly lying… For what purposed did she help Alenta take over True Hell? Not to mention… but I didn’t even know that there was a True Hell!!!
Faith: “Don’t worry! Everything that I’ve done was in good taste, and for very good reasons.” She said with a coaxing tone.
Celia: “…For what reasons… No, if you were going to tell me, then you would have already done so.” I reply with a sigh.
Faith: “Correct! Though I am very reluctant to keep things from you, I must keep quiet about this for a long while.” She said with a remorseful tone.
Celia: “It’s fine… I know that you only want the best for me.” I say with a bright smile.
Currently, the two of us were just flying in the sky. I didn’t really have a destination in mind. I was honestly just flying around for fun, with a decent hope that my luck will prevail, and we can progress this game a bit.
Of course, once more it goes without saying, but Faith and I were talking in our minds even now. Our conversations… most of them should stay between us, and not reach the ears of quintillions of random people. And besides… we’re both more used to this way of talking, rather than outwardly with our mouths.
Faith: “Can you, like, stop being so lucky, please?” She pleaded.
Celia: “…Does this even count as being lucky?” I replied with a head tilt.
As we flew and flew, we eventually came upon an interesting situation… A rge mass of nd was in the process of burning. Not in the fire sense, but in the fires of war way, I mean. Long story short, we find ourselves floating above a blood-soaked battlefield…
