Battle Mode is the most dangerous Sci-Fi Universe. Life in the Solar System was forever changed the day two fleets of space ships arrived and started shooting at each other, or from their perspective continued shooting at each other. An interstellar war between two advanced races led them to discover Earth and its people, a war called "The Parasite Wars". One faction offered Earth new technology, medicine, and the opportunity to colonize their neighboring planets of the Solar System in exchange for weapons, supplies, and soldiers to defeat their enemy. As far as the surviving factions know, they defeated the forces of the Dark Tyrant (the enemy leader) at least within this Universe. The story''''s narrator is Jhessyreen Errysa''''ad, Pilot and 1st Officer of the Ambush Class Gunship "The Something Clever". Jhessyreen gives an account of the rise of a New More Terrible Dark Tyrant, the Destruction of Earth, and the discovery of a slave girl with the power to see the future, who might be the Chosen One.
