After he long left the elven settlement he began feeling hungry.
With that he pulled out the sword and looked at it for almost a minute. His stomach was empty as if there was hole in its place. Could he kill to survive? does he need to?
He puts the sword away and looks at his hand. The essence runs trough again and a few shadowy particles appear on his palm. The essence gets pushed further to no avail. pretty useless ability
There is no road or any kind of landmark that could help him navigate.
The Thick layer of leaves encased the forest in darkness.
Until finally the shroud of shadows is broken by a small ray of sunlight.
Instinctively he walks towards it and looks up.
For a split second a figure jumps through, closing off the light.
"Shit! What was that?" William swears and grabs the sword tighter.
The rustling of leaves makes it hard to figure it out where it is coming from but its inevitable.
With the snap of a few branches a Huge quadruped Beast with a long thin body pounces on him.
Its long jaw opening up to two sets of sharp teeth with its saliva drooling all over the place.
The sharp curved claws protrude towards its prey from above.
The sword quickly is pushed forward in a desperate attempt to stop its momentum. The blade pierces the beast's body making its movement uneven and not being able to bite down on William, but its movement didn't stop.

The Collision sends William flying a few meters. For a second everything goes blank, but he quickly recovers. He finds himself lying on the ground. Something warm is slowly trickling down from his head and his shoulder is throbbing with pain.
As he gathered all his strength he stumbles to his feet, the adrenaline keeps him from collapsing back.
The beast towers over him. Its claws aren't visible but on the end of its limbs there is a hole in the fur.
William begins to put his legs after each other trying to increase the distance between him and that thing, but even after so many steps its like he barely moved.
"wait its called... life drain" he whispers to himself and lays his hand on the surface of a nearby tree.
Life drain
A large amount of energy starts crashing into his system. The energy fills the core first , then as it lacks space it bursts out flowing everywhere in the body. A pain even greater stirs up within him. He closes his eyes and flexes every muscle as he holds back a scream. The pain radiating from the other two injuries slowly fade away
The flesh starts slowly closing.
William Notices the sword is gone so he turns around and dashes forward "I cant kill it..." He keeps running and running to get away. The beast is getting closer indicated by its painful guttural growls. The Trees are getting slightly thinner and there are more holes on the dark coverage from above.
Then he hears a growl from so close like its next to his ear.
William closes his eyes preparing for the pain and his end. so this is it...
A stone spike flies past. It hits the beast right in the middle of its skull and bursts trough it leaving only a gaping hole... It flies back to the shadows leaving only William in the light.
"Finally found you..." A feminine voice says as she walks out from the shadows
