Four Pink Grim Reapers

Volume 1: The Most Absurd War Chapter 4: Pink Reaper

Just one minute ago, Captain Shavia still thought today was her lucky day.

The residents of this new town in Nanzhili were so weak that when they saw themselves with over a hundred fully armed men landing, they actually voluntarily took out food and valuables to spread on the ground, begging for mercy.

Things, Xavia naturally smiled and accepted, as for sparing their lives? Who told you that you are not spirits? Who told you that Lord Xuefeng likes human blood the most?

The townspeople have almost all been killed, and the things to be collected have also been basically collected. Everyone is busy having fun before the task ends, and Shavia's squad leader is no exception. After a long foreplay, he was about to shoot the precious essence of the elf into the humble human woman's body, making his own contribution to the fusion of world races.

But now the miserable cries of his soldiers under him would forever interrupt this process.

"It's an enemy raid." Xavia immediately stood up and stabbed the woman to death with a random knife. When she looked up, she saw a pink figure on her head.

"He's a human mage... shoot him quickly..." Savia couldn't say another word, as a powerful acid arrow from Ma Yu shot through his chest.

"It's a sorcerer, fire the anti-magic bullets!" The elf gunner hastily grabbed his weapon without even putting on his clothes and fired a barrage of shots at the sky.

"Accelerate!" Fili leapt forward with all his might, dodging the silver-glinting demon-slaying bullet. Then, in a chain of lightning-fast moves, several elves convulsed and fell to the ground, their bodies emitting a scorched smell.

"What about our mage?" The elves couldn't find the only mage in their party anywhere, because the poor shipboard mage had been disintegrated into countless particles invisible to the naked eye by a single Dispel Magic spell. With Phil's cautious personality, he would naturally eliminate the most threatening target first.

"Boom, boom!" Round after round of gunfire erupted, with more and more soldiers gathering to fire at the pink figure in the sky. Feili was still wildly casting spells, with fireballs flying everywhere, and occasionally a soldier would fall due to burns, but under the protection of their magic-resistant armor, most of the soldiers continued to shoot. One after another, magical shields were shattered, and Feili seemed to have gone mad, frantically casting spells left and right, with fireball techniques, Mahyū's strong acid arrows, and even high-level flying storm missiles flying wildly around the town.

"Alright, everyone's almost here, it's time to wrap things up." Seeing that the Elven soldiers had mostly gathered in the empty space before him, Fili finally unleashed his trump card - Enhanced Mire Technique.

The soldiers who were shooting at the air suddenly felt a slight tremor under their feet and immediately slipped into the mud. Before they could get up, another enhanced web spell wrapped them up, and then a yellow-green poisonous cloud descended from the sky. Magic-resistant armor might be able to withstand many spells, but it couldn't replace gas masks. The elves were unable to struggle anymore.

Charlotte arrived with a dozen or so guards just in time for the battle, while the other guards had fled at the sound of gunfire. The guards were stunned to see the elf bound up like a rice ball by the spider web technique.

"There are still a few who escaped to the seaside, hurry and chase!" Phil shouted loudly, Charlotte reacted and drew her sword, shouting as she led the group in a rush towards the dock.

"They were a scattered reinforcement unit, with one ship and two hundred elves. Now there are less than a hundred left." Ferri tossed the elf soldier who had been extracted of his memories into the bonfire, speaking to Charlotte in a commanding tone, "Get ready, we're going to take the ship now."

"Robbery? Robbery on a ship?" Charlotte's eyes were almost popping out.

"Well, all the spirits that landed were killed or captured by us, and the only wizard among them is also dead. I just happened to have prepared a disguise spell, which can disguise you as prisoners and put on their clothes to attack the ship."

"But even counting you, we're only fifteen people in total, while the enemy might have five or six times our number!"

"So you want them to bombard Emon Harbour tomorrow morning?" Fili asked back, "You don't even have a decent cannon in your hand, do you?"

  "This... perhaps they will retreat."

"Their food and water are all exhausted, they must land immediately to replenish supplies, it's impossible to retreat! And you actually put your hopes on the enemy withdrawing voluntarily? Are you still the Garrison Commander of Emon Port?"

It suddenly occurred to me that I'm the captain of the guard, so who's in command here anyway? Charlotte rolled her eyes, but still agreed with Firill's opinion. Rather than getting bombed tomorrow, it's better to go up and make a big fuss tonight.

"Alright, I'll try to persuade my subordinates, but what about the captives?"

"Kill them all, now there's no one left to take care of them." Phil said calmly, "Remember to strip their clothes before killing, so as not to get stained with blood."

  Charlotte's shoulders quivered slightly.

Captain Bonatti paced back and forth on the deck, occasionally glancing at the land aglow with firelight.

It's almost midnight, and it's been nearly four hours since Shavia landed, but there's still no news. Two hours ago, a fierce gunshot was heard, which scared the captain who had never experienced war: that arrogant Shavia must have rushed into someone else's military camp.

Just as Captain Bonatti was worried, he suddenly heard the lookout on the mast shouting loudly at him: "Captain, Captain Savia and his men are back! Look!"

Bonatti gazed out to the coast with the monocular in his hand, a small boat carrying about twenty soldiers was heading towards them, and Savia was at the bow. He and his men seemed to be seriously injured, each of them had bandages wrapped around their heads and hands.

"That fool seems to have gotten himself into some trouble, hopefully he can get something out of it, drop the ladder!" The captain ordered his sailors. Soon, all fifteen of them were on deck.

"Captain Sabya, you seem to be having a bit of bad luck this time." Captain Bonati came forward, "And the other young men?"

"Captain Shavia" smiled eerily, "Everyone's here, the spell is lifted!"

"Bang, bang!" Under a burst of gunfire, Captain Bonati became a sieve. The rest of the sailors hadn't even had time to react when a string of chain lightning struck, and a row fell to the deck.

"It's human, open fire!" Several sailors with guns in their hands immediately fired back at the enemy.

"WoodShape! Plastic wood!" The huge wooden board that made up the deck suddenly stood upright, blocking the muzzle. Bullets collided on it and created a series of dents, but no longer had enough power to penetrate.

The next volley of musket fire from the watch erupted, and Firi's husband Marfuul's acid-tipped arrows flew simultaneously. Another heap of rolling bodies appeared on the deck. The sailors, who had no protection on their bodies, were finally crushed in spirit, dropped their weapons, screamed and rushed into the cabin or jumped into the sea.

"What shall we do? Shall we go on fighting?" Charlotte asked Philip during the interval of loading, "or set fire to the ship?"

"It's a waste to burn it, ignore those who jumped into the sea, I'll take care of those who ran under the deck, you guys keep an eye on several passageways." Feili cast an air purification spell on all team members, then took out several small glass bottles from his clothes and threw them at the cabin door. The security guards were tense, staring at the cabin door and passageways, but nothing happened.

"What did you just do?" Charlotte waited for a moment, feeling a bit impatient.

"I've just made a new poison gas bomb, with the simplified Death Cloud spell carved on it. Today's a good day to test it out." Fili shrugged his shoulders, "The activation time has already passed for a minute, now I estimate that even a cockroach would have trouble surviving down there, you don't need to be so tense, just go check again in half an hour."

“…At least half of the 200 spirits died directly at your hands. I've always heard that alchemists in the army are all seasoned war machines, and I thought you were an exception.” Charlotte carefully examined Fili's pink robe again, looked at his clear face, and sighed, “It turns out you're more like a soldier than me. This was my first battle since joining the military, and I really made a fool of myself, sorry to have embarrassed you.”

"Thank you for the compliment, actually this is also my first battle."

"Is that so? You're a natural-born Pink Reaper!" Charlotte exclaimed sincerely.
