I’d finally found the edge of the forest.
Before I tackled the Minotaur, I knew I had to grow stronger still, which is why I tried finding a city. After all, in a world full of monsters, there’d definitely be an establishment dedicated to taking them down.
Luckily, it seemed that I could speak and understand this world’s language, most likely due to a blessing or ability of sorts.
’Oh, you’re looking for the guild? It’s right around the corner.’
A large building came into sight. Honestly, it looked like an apartment complex. It was five stories high and made with metal, not wood. The inside was illuminated by magical devices.
’Hello. I’d like to register as an adventurer.’
’Got it. May I please ask what happened to your arm?’
’It got torn off by a monster.’
’Ah, I see.’
It appeared that losing limbs was quite normal, as the guild worker wasn’t fazed at all.

’Hey you. You look weak. You sure you’re cut out to be an adventurer?’
Ah, the stereotypical threatening gangsters. Just because I’m thin doesn’t mean I’m weak.
I looked around. Everyone seemed to be staring at us. Eh well.
’I’d suggest you not underestimate me.’
’What did you say, punk?’
One of them lunged towards me. It was unrefined and the posture was horrific, so I dodged it easily.
’My turn. [Iron Spider]’
My clothes had gloves that contained metal threads inside, both serving as protection and offense. In this case, i controlled several to bind up the target.
’What…? Let go of me!’
’No can do!’
He was far weaker than the Minotaur, so I simply pulled him towards me and…
’Oh, that’s got to hurt.’
I used to get into fights at school a lot. As such, I knew the golden rule of fistfights. Always aim for the stomach.
I was just a bit too low this time. His face went entirely purple.
Apparently they were causing a lot of trouble, so I got a bit of money and the job.
For now, I don’t have to worry about economic issues since I got enough money to last a week. I still need to work though. Shame.
Meanwhile, one of the adventurers invited me out for dinner. His name was Kane.
Kane was quite tall and muscular. His hair was red and his eyes were blue as the sea.
’So, boy, what”s your name?’
Of course, i wasn’t going to go by my old, ridiculous name in this world.
’Sui. Please to make your acquaintance, Kane’
’Pleased to meet you too, Sui!’
The dish arrived. It was his treat today, and boy did it look good.
It was steak. The beef glimmered as the thick gravy covered it.
It tasted divine.
’Thank you, Mr. Kane!’
’No problem, Sui! See you around!’
He’s a nice person. Maybe I’ll see him again in the future.
