200km away from a Jupiter sized habitable pnet. Not in the milkyway
A 1.5 km long 400 meter wide sized grey ship suddenly whooshed in, blocking out a view of a dozen stars. This was the st ship of humanity, rather it is an ark ship with the goal of growing humanity once more. Far away from the infestation that overran their home gaxy and its nearby neighbors. Inside the ship an AI scanned the pnet nearby.
"Habitable pnet detected, gravitational pull is equal to 9.81m/s...."
It stopped and continued
"Anomaly detected, Detailed surface scans failed, interference detected, no origin detected for interference, possible origin: celestial body it self. Gravitational anomaly detected, pnet size and estimate mass does not match estimated gravity.
conclusion:pnetary body not following current ws of physics, waking up personnel consciousness for further assistance"
Inside one of the compartments of the ship housed a hundred cryopods. The st of the very best of humanity stored so that they could hopefully guide the next generation of humanity that is currently stored as embryos that would be ter fertilized and pced in artificial wombs.
Inside the cryopods chamber one of the pods comes alive. But it did not defrost it instead it simply awoke the mind of the person inside and connected them to the ship effectively merging them to it. The persons mind looked was able to look through massive amounts of data, due to being a consciousness he is not limited by his own biological mind thus surpassing its capabilities. After a while it thought
"GAIA, wake up all of the first css officers"
He told the ai named GAIA which responded immedietly with a mental nod.
In a few moments 10 more minds flood the ship, humanity being able to develop an artificial hive mind. Blending in the captain of the ship, scientist, soldiers, teachers and engineers minds seemlesly allowing them to exchange information and converse at an astonishing speed. Giving them the ability to completely understand eachother and come at a conclusion within a second. Which is the decision to colonize this pnet because of its unknown factor potentially hiding them from the infestation 100 gaxies away and also having the potential to find the answer to cleansing the said infestation here though most of them are still skeptical about that. None the less they decided to comedown to the atmosphere and settle down.
Outside the ship a multitude of doors swung open shooting out hundreds of satellites into orbit in different directions to monitor and observe the pnet. Once that was finished the ship descended into the atmosphere. Slowly it touches the atmosphere of the strange pnet. And slowly the minds that are connected sensed something. It has gone something like this.
"Something is interfering, recommendation to halt immedietly"
"Could be minor fluctuations in power, power source is nearly drained"
"Could be, but, it could also be from the atmosphere, im detecting radiation signatures everywhere, it started when we entered"
"Acknowledged, I recomend we wait and study this first before proceding"
"Agree"
"Agree"(all)
But it was too te, it has also started to disrupt everything in their systems including their sudo hive mind, meaning what ever this was it was capable of penetrating the potentially the most advanced technology in this gaxy.
"Connection ch-#)+y djek(#(, ndisx(*)lencting#)(1"
(Connection choppy disconnecting-)
One by one they disconnected from the hive mind. Outside the ship's slow descent erupted a torrential surge of speed that transformed it into a searing meteor bzing through the void. The colossal vessel trembled and twisted wildly as it plunged earthward; the 1.5 kilometer long ark hurtled toward the surface at a treacherous angle. In a st burst of hope, just as the ground loomed dangerously close, every system roared back to life. The ship’s artificial intelligence seized the moment, unching an emergency nding maneuver that fired up its shields to cushion the brutal impact while pushing its engines to their absolute limit—a move that promised future peril.
Yet fate remained indifferent. The vessel collided with the earth with such force that its impact sent forth a shockwave rivaling the fury of a magnitude ten earthquake, rendering even the most violent natural tremors childlike in comparison. The ship skidded relentlessly, gradually tilting as it crawled along the scarred surface before executing a solitary roll. At long st, it came to a jarring halt when a rugged mountain met it head-on at the rear, though thanks to its advanced materials it only managed to create a minor gash in the impact zone. Though the same could not be said for its contents.
Inside the ship everything was a mess due to having all of the dampening systems being offline. The final impact caused catastrophic damage on everything near its impact zone which included the cryostasis chambers of the crew, Causing Multiple systems rebooting, doors stuck and mangled gsses shattered, some power systems are offline. Inside the halls emergency lights fshed red. With the hive mind system still being down the still conscious but frozen crew decided to thaw their bodies out and move in the real world.
-----
Inside one of the pods a person has been completely thawed out from being a popsicle and immedietly opened his eyes. He looked around calmly inside his pod trying to find something, and once he found a button that would release him from his cryopod. He was surprised when it did not open fully but it was enough for him since its already unlocked. He pulled his legs up and pushed against the cold gss he grunted until the door made way and swung outward violently shattering the gss. He got out of his pod naked, his face shined red from the emergency lights in the ceeling and looked around at the damage. Some pods are damaged and broken meaning its passengers are gone as well. Without the proper thawing process the body would not be able to acclimate properly and succumb to outside environments immedietly. He walked towards one of the still intact pods and entered a pass code to thaw and open it. He then did the same thing for the next pod.
He then suddenly heard a grunting noise. He looked around and saw another door was stuck under rubble miraculously not breaking it.
"Aghhhhh!!!"
The person strained against the door.
He walked towards the pod and said.
"Wait in there, you are stuck under some rubble il just take some tools"
"Alright!!, please hurry!!"
Just as he was about to walk towards the exit a cryopod opened. And a person walked out of it. He looked around wearily and sleepy.
"Hmmmmm, what the fuck happened here?" The muscur male said and looked around further.
"Hey officer non, i need you to thaw and support the others out of their pods"
"Ohh yes captain "
They ran of in opposite direction. With the officer helping out the others in their pods and trying to find a working supply pod within the cryopods chamber. After a few moments the captain returned wearing an exoskeleton and with him supplies like clothes and specialized medical kits.
The captain then lifted and pushed around the rubble that was covering the other persons door. The perosn then looked out of their pods once the door was opened. It was a woman with bck hair.
"Thankyou captain"
she said to the captain.
"No problem.... Here wear it first before getting out"
"Thankyou captain"
After a few more moments they were able to thaw out the remaining people. Which was just 34 out of 100. They all gathered around in the cryopods. Now all were clothed but still confused and anxious about what happened. The emergency lights still did not stop fshing red.
"Is this everybody?"
The captain asked.
"Yes sir unfortunately"
One of the officers replied. The captain sighed and continued.
"Listen up everyone. I have some hard news. What happened with the ship was beyond our control. We could have moved faster if we had used the hive mind. But right now, our ship systems are down or destroyed except for the essentials. We have life support, cryopods if they were not broken in the crash, and the embryo chamber.
We do not know what caused the system failure. It might be something in the pnet atmosphere. That is as odd as it sounds.
I know this is not easy to hear, and I know you all understand what is at stake. We may be the st humans in this universe. All we can do is work with what we have and push forward until the end.
Now, let us focus on getting through this together. Are you with me?!"
He asked,
"Yes captain" everybody replied.
"Good, now lets get to work"
"Scientist and engineers analyze the atmosphere and that weird energy, also work on restoring the ships functionalities, also 2 scientist stay"
"Roger" replied the 7 scientist and 5 engineers
"Military personel wait for the go signal from the eggheads, then use the piloted mechsuits and secure the perimeter"
"Yes sir" the 15 soldiers replied
"Teachers wait for further commands, if you can log this in or you could help these two"
"Yes sir" the remaining seven responded.
He then turned to the 2 scientist that remained.
"You two startup the embryo incubation cycle"
"Yes sir" the two remaining scientist responded and headed their way along with some teachers which has a not so usefull skill set in this current period in time.
The captain then walked out of the chamber. Slowly his footsteps grow faint and eventually it became silent in the chamber.
----
Moments earlier before the crash
In a vast field of light green grass, with the sun shining brightly high above, a person with skin the color of ash sits on a hollow log. Their long white hair is softly blown by a gentle breeze, revealing a pair of pointy ears of the same hue. Their lips match the ashen tone of their skin, and their body resembles that of a woman with rge breasts and a slim waist. Wearing a leather tunic with some metal reinforcements and some weird squiggly lines embedded on the armor. To her side sat a staff that appears like a straight tree branch with a glowing gem with roots wrapped around its surface. The person then sighed
"What was her highness thinking, believing in a fantasy like that"
She kicked a the innocent log she was sitting on and she continued.
"I've been here for three whole days and nothing has happened, i was supposed to see something grand happen but apparently nothing is now the new grand like what?.... Alright i need to calm down, maybe im just impatient"
She took a deep breath and said.
"Hahhh, but still i dont think it would happen, that prophecy was thousands of years ago, the only ancient civilization is the demon kind but they are still here so they are not the st of their kind....."
She stopped sensing something. She used her beast eyes to see more in the surroundings, she initially found nothing but then rapid fshed of blinding light flood her vision then she followed the beams of light and she found a tiny dot in the sky above her.
"What is that, how can it do that?"
She stood transfixed, eyes wide with a trembling mixture of awe and trepidation as the colossal object descended slowly from the heavens. For several interminable minutes, she observed its otherworldly approach—a silent sentinel growing ever rger against the darkening sky, each moment intensifying the surreal spectacle before her.
Then, as if bewitched by an unfathomable force, the craft shuddered into erratic motion. Its steady descent faltered, becoming a wild, quivering dance that transformed it into something resembling a massive mountain sliding inexorably earthward. A visceral chill raced down her spine as the impact thundered into the ground some tens of kilometers away or a few days of travel—a cataclysmic collision that rippled through the very air around her.
In that heart-stopping moment, with her pulse drumming a primal rhythm in her ears and the echoes of destiny resonating in her soul, she could no longer contain the force of her emotions. Between gasps and a silent prayer to whatever forces might be listening, she murmured in a voice den with both fear and wonder, "The prophecy… it is real"
