Shortly after Kim was taken.

  [Jill POV]

  I'll look around to help see where I am, but I don't think the underground rocks will be helpful in find- (Kim)

  Kim! Say something! Can you hear me?! (Jill)

  When I was met with silence I turned to Lily who had Audrey in her blood chains. Stomping over to her and raising her by her clothes I threatened her with one of my cws.

  "WHERE IS SHE?!"(Jill)

  "I don't know."(Audrey)

  The creature managed to choke out.

  "LIER!"(Jill)

  Before I could do anything to it Lily stopped my cw with her chains.

  "Jill calm down! We will find her."(Lily)

  "How?! I can't feel her Lily! Why can't I feel her?!"(Jill)

  The only reason I could think of was that she was gone. I let Audrey go and fell to my knees before smming my fist into the ground, then I felt a hand on my shoulder. I look up to see Lily with a confident face.

  "They likely have something suppressing her powers which is unintentionally disrupting your link, but don't worry I put a tracker on her for this trip. All we have to do is follow it."(Lily)

  As I was looking at Lily in hope we heard the sound of her chain shuffling and a voice that I wish I could scrub from my ears.

  "Please, unless those two are complete idiots they'll get rid of any tracker you put on her"(Audrey)

  Lily's smile seemed to grow wider at her retort.

  "Well from what I've seen from your group I can't say I'm impressed so I'll take my chances."(Lily)

  Lily pulled out a phone and the screen lit up showing a red dot fshing in one of the corners.

  "Look at that, they didn't seem to find the tracker. Not that they could."(Lily)

  Lily whispered the st part low enough that only I could have heard it.

  "Where are they?!"(Jill)

  "Looks like they are on the move and heading north from here."(Lily)

  "Then what are we waiting for let's go!"(Jill)

  Before I could rush off Lily grabbed my shoulder again.

  "Hold on we still need to figure out what to do with her."(Lily)

  Lily pointed to the person I had immediately forgotten about when Kim's location was mentioned.

  "Can't we just leave her?"(Jill)

  "As much as I would love never to see her again we may need a hostage or a shield depending on how this goes."(Lily)

  I could see Audrey freeze at that moment. Lily was usually one of the nicest people I know but I could tell she meant her every word. I wouldn't fault her for that, but I don't want her to stay in that dark pce, and I know Kim wouldn't either.

  "Fine but as much as I hate to say it we will not be using her as a shield."(Jill)

  Lily raised an eyebrow.

  "Why?"(Lily)

  "Because I don't want to see someone I see as a friend go on a dark path more than they must."(Jill)

  Lily took a deep breath to recompose herself.

  "Ok let me just ensure she is secured so we can catch up."(Lily)

  Once I heard Lily put some handcuffs on Audrey she turned to me.

  "She won't be going anywhere soon. Jill we don't have time to try and expin everything to the convoy so we need to use another form of transportation. Can you transform so we can fly to her?"(Lily)

  I scowled at the creature that we would have to bring along.

  "If it were for any other reason I wouldn't, but yes."(Jill)

  I changed into the rgest form I could take so Lily and the baggage could fit and after they hopped on my back we took off. After a few minutes, I started to get impatient.

  "How far till we reach them?"(Jill)

  "It's hard to tell. They seem to be moving at a fast pace in a straight line, most likely they are in a getaway vehicle. For now all we can do is follow the tracker."(Lily)

  Knowing Lily could do nothing, I nodded and tried to increase my speed. We continued until Lily alerted me that they had stopped moving.

  "Now that they aren't moving it should only take us five minutes to reach them so get ready."(Lily)

  As soon as we spotted the ones who dared take Kim from me my blood started to boil with rage. One of them was gripping her head as she was screaming in pain.

  "AHHHHHHHH!"(Kim)

  I growled as I picked up speed to get there sooner. We nded with a crash and the ground cracked from the force. Before we could get closer one of the men waved his hand to form a spike from the earth and pointed it at Kim's throat.

  "Don't make any sudden moves or I'll have to do something we'll all regret."(Goon 1 AKA Chase)

  "Let her go!"(Jill)

  "And give up our only leverage, I think not."(Goon 1 AKA Chase)

  Kim's screams kept getting more intense until the Shift started to glow and the other man pulled back his hand that was encased in ice. We could all feel the temperature drop and snow started to fall.

  "What's going on?!"(Goon 2 AKA Mick)

  For the first time since she was taken, I could hear Kim in my head and she was in pain.

  LET ME OUT! (Kim)

  I recoiled when Kim shouted in her head, but everything was quiet when a single sound emanated from the colr on her neck.

  *Snap*

  The Shift glowed brighter and tendrils emerged wrapping around Kim, who absorbed them until the Shift was gone. As soon as she finished the goon whose arm was frozen broke the silence.

  "What the hell just happened?!"(Goon 2 AKA Mick)

  Kim turned to look at him with eyes devoid of emotion, and in a fsh of white, she suddenly lifted him by his head.

  "Ahh! Let me go you freak!"(Goon 2 AKA Mick)

  Using his one good arm he grabbed her wrist to free himself, but Kim's grip remained firm. Kim didn't seem like herself so I tried to reach out to her with telepathy.

  Kim, can you hear me? (Jill)

  ...

  When I didn't get a response I got even more worried.

  "Lily, she isn't responding to me!"(Jill)

  Out of desperation, the man in Kim's grip used his other hand to hit her, but she stopped the frozen limb with an open palm. As she gripped his hand a cracking noise could be heard and soon the ice shattered along with what remained of the hand. The goon screamed out in pain before Kim casually tossed him aside into a wall.

  A pilr of earth shot out from the ground toward Kim sending her flying into a different wall. The second goon looked satisfied with his work until the dust settled revealing Kim with her arms crossed and covered in blue scales.

  "How is that possible?! You shouldn't be able to walk!"(Goon 1 AKA Chase)

  Instead of responding Kim walked towards him and cws extended from her scale-covered arms.

  "Stay back!"(Goon 1 AKA Chase)

  The goon raised a wall to stop her but Kim effortlessly destroyed it with a punch. The man looked around, probably trying to escape this situation when his eyes locked onto me. The goon ran towards us and raised his hand to create a stone spike that stopped before it could reach us.

  "Don't move or I'll skewer them!"(Goon 1 AKA Chase)

  Kim stopped moving and looked between us and the coward. Kim opened her mouth to speak for the first time but her voice was distorted.

  "How will you do that when you can't even break my ice?"(Kim?)

  The goon looked at his spike which was now encased in ice. The man tried to move it with a wave of his arm but it wouldn't budge. With him now distracted Kim quickly removed all the distance from them and Roundhouse kicked him into the same wall as the first man.

  "Pathetic."(Kim?)

  Kim's eyes wandered around the area before nding on Audrey who stumbled under the intensity of her gaze.

  "Are you going to try next, little Miss Distraction?"(Kim?)

  "No!"(Audrey)

  The girl turned to run in the other direction but was blocked by an ice wall that suddenly appeared.

  *Bang*

  A gunshot rang out from behind Kim causing her to fall forward with a hole in her shirt.

  "HAHAHA! You let your guard down! Did you think this was a simple gun? It uses bullets that are meant to take down a mutant."(Goon 2 AKA Mick)

  Hearing the man gloat made my rage uncontrolble and I charged at him. He quickly tried to shoot me but before I could react to it another fsh of light sped past me. Kim was now griping the gun and forcing the goon to point it in the air.

  "How dare you point this at her!"(Kim?)

  "That's not possible I shot you! How are you alive!"(Goon 2 AKA Mick)

  "You were pnning to take me from them. Lily, Gale, Ivan, and most of all Jill! Did you think I would let that happen?!"(Kim?)

  It was obvious that Kim wasn't listening to the goon anymore. She ripped the gun from the goon's hand and kicked him in the stomach causing him to fall onto his knees before passing out. Lily had put handcuffs on the man Kim kicked into the wall to make sure he didn't do anything when he awoke, Audrey was already secured but Kim was looking around agitated. Seeing this I walked up to her to try and calm her down and maybe find out what was going on with her mind.

  "Kim it's over, you can calm down."(Jill)

  I put my hand on her shoulder but as soon as I did a powerful force entered my body and my connection to Kim seemed to increase. Unfortunately, my mind started to falter and I could feel myself passing out.
