  Professor Ash falls to his knees as he lets out a heavy breath, sweat falling down his brow. Blood covering his face as he stares at the ground. His metal left arm is destroyed as sparks shoot out from the connector at his shoulder.

  His clothes have several deep gashes, covered in blood, with a rge hole in his right shoulder. He's barely able to keep his one good eye open.

  "Come on, you're nearly there." Ash stabs his sword into the ground beside him, he near the Beacon nding pads.

  "Cyprus!" Weiss' voice is heard.

  Ash looks up seeing Weiss run towards him. Ash gives her a smiles, as he slowly stands up.

  "Hey, Weiss..." Ash mutters as he takes a few steps forward, but grunts in pain and falls back to his knees.

  Weiss quickly reaches him and helps him stand. "...You don't look so good." She wraps his arm around her shoulder, as they start to walk towards the nding pad.

  "I... I've gotten worse." Ash mutters as he gives her a smile. "I'll be fine."

  Weiss gives him a look of worry, seeing all the blood covering him. The lets out a few grunts as the two reach the nding pad.

  "Medic!" Weiss calls out.

  A couple medics run over and grab onto Ash, and start to drag him over to the small medical area set up. Weiss follows after them, looking down at the Ash's blood covering her hands and dress.

  Ash notices Nora and Ren off to the side, holding onto their sides. He spots Bke ying on the ground, holding onto her bandaged stomach. She's holding a hand out to Yang, who's beside her. Yang's unconscious as she recently lost her right arm, which is bandaged up.

  Then his eye nds on Ambré and Bell. Ambré is unconscious as she's connected to several machines that are keeping her alive. A breathing mask is over her mouth, helping her breath as bandages cover her head, and parts of her body. She's ghostly pale.

  Bell is unconscious on a cot next to Ambré. A breathing mask is over her mouth, helping her breath as bandages cover her right leg. Ash is led over to a cot nearby and the medics quickly start working on him.

  "Sir, we may have to put you to asleep." A medic informs. "So we can less the pain of the procedures."

  Ash doesn't respond as he looks off to the side, to see Ruby run up to Weiss. He the looks over to the nding pad, seeing civilians getting on air busses to leave Beacon.

  A mask is set over Ash's face, and he soon grows drowsy. And the medics y him down as he starts to lose consciousness.

  '...I hope you're okay, Glynda.'

  Everything then goes dark.

  A Beowolf's head is sent flying as Byzan grunts, stumbling onto a wall. Byzan is covered in blood and wounds, as blood pours from his missing left ear, and the rge ugly hole on his right shoulder.

  Sweat falls from his chin as he has trouble breathing. He uses the wall to help him keep walking, his right arm hanging limply to the side, dragging his katana on the ground. He pulls out his fsk from his coat, and flips it open downing it's contents, but finds there's barely anything.

  He turns it upside down, and shakes it, nothing comes out. Byzan sighs and puts the fsk back in his coat.

  "Come on, Byzantine." Byzan grits his teeth. "Just keep going."

  The Wyvern roars in the distance, and Byzan looks back at it, but a bright white light fshes. Byzan grunts as he covers his eyes with his left arm for a few seconds, then lowering it.

  His eyes widen in shock as the Wyvern is suddenly completely encased in stone.

  "Did Rubes...?"

  Byzan's ear twitches as he ducks down under a bde, before sliding back, aiming his weapon at his attacker. He gasps in shock as he lowers his weapon slightly.

  "Neo...?"

  In front of Byzan in Neo, in an Atleasian military uniform, with Roman's bowler on her head. Tears streaming down her face as she gres at Byzan, pointing her umbrel bde at him.

  Neo charges at Byzan again, aiming her umbrel at his heart. Byzan parries the attack with a grunt, before he ducks and side steps several more attacks.

  He then kicks her in the head, causing her to stumble back, and making him nearly falls over from the pain that shoots through his body.

  "Why are you attacking me?!" Byzan yells as he blocks another attack from her.

  Neo flips over Byzan, as she manages to cut his left cheek. Landing behind him, she sms her umbrel into his back, casting him to stumble forward.

  Byzan turns around as he stumbles, and swings his katana at Neo, which she blocks. Byzan's back hits a wall, and he pushes off and stumbles away as Neo stabs her bde where he was.

  Byzan charges at her and signs his sword at her, cutting at the neck, but its revealed to be a gss illusion. The real Neo appears beside him and kicks him, in the side, causing him to vomit up some blood.

  Byzan grits his teeth and grabs Neo by the arm, and flips her over his head. She lets out a gasp of pain as she sms into the ground, her pink aura covering her.

  Byzan goes to stab his sword into her, but she disappears, leaving behind a fake. Byzan twists his body as she tries to stab him from behind, and he kicks her umbrel up into the air and punches her in the throat.

  Neo stumbles back as she puts a hand over her throat and coughs a few times.

  "What's with you?!" Byzan yells as he aims his sword at her. "Did Roman send you to tie up loose ends?"

  Neo gres at Byzan, letting out an angry gasp. His eyes lock onto the hat on her head.

  "No... is he?" Byzan questions and Neo nods, Byzan just shakes his head. "By who?"

  Neo suddenly turns into Ruby, before turning back to herself.

  "Rubes...?" Byzan gets lost in thought for a few seconds. "Didn't think she had it in her." He looks at Neo, just in time to duck under another attack from her.

  Byzan jumps back and brings up his sword, blocking an attack. Sparks shoot out as Neo repeatedly tries to stab Byzan, but he just blocks with his sword.

  "But why come after me?!" Byzan pushes Neo away. "I had nothing to with his death!"

  Neo gres at him, as she changes back to Ruby, then to Byzan, then back to herself.

  "Because I'm friends with her?!" Byzan yells in shock. "Are you nuts!"

  Neo lets out an angry sound, as she points her bde at him.

  "I warned you!" Byzan yells in anger. "I warned you all this would happen, didn't I?!"

  Neo lowers her weapon as she stares at him, Byzan walks towards her.

  "I told you to leave, but you wanted to stay with Roman! He was locked up in that airship, safe and sound. But let me guess, you let him out?"

  Byzan stands in front of Neo, and she looks down as tears fall from her eyes.

  "Now he's dead, all because you wanted to stay."

  Neo chokes up as she lets out a pained cry.

  "Now look around you!" Byzan motions to the burning Vale, the bodies of people around. "You wanted this! And all it costed was Roman... and me."

  Neo looks up to Byzan, as she tries to keep composure, she's just a bubbling mess. She reaches out to him, but Byzan sps her hand away.

  "I... I-I... I loved you Neo." Byzan states as he takes a few steps back.

  Neo freezes in shock, her pupils shrinking.

  "I truly did Neo..." Byzan sighs and turns around, Neo holds a hand out to him. "But if I see you again." He gnces back, giving her an angry look that could kill. "I will kill you, Neopolitan."

  Byzan stumbles away as Neo falls to her knees. She sms her head into the ground and lets out a loud cry of sadness and pain.

  Light streaks across the sky as morning is just around the corner. A lone tree sits on a hill that overlooks Vale. Smoke and fires spread across Vale, a few flying Grimm circle around.

  A few heavy breaths as heard as heavy foot steps approach the tree. Byzan huffs as he puts a bloody hand against the tree. He then leans against it, before sliding down the side of it, resting his back against it.

  He looks out towards Vale, watching all the chaos from afar. Guilt washes over him as he watches fires rage across the city.

  He then looks down at his bloody hands, before chuckling.

  "I think I'm dying..." Byzan smiles as he looks up to the sky, seeing the stars slowly disappearing. "But that's okay... I've survived before."

  "Mm mm." Jackie appears on a tree branch above him. "Not this time."

  Byzan looks at Jackie, before looking out to Vale. "But what about Bke... I don't want to leave her alone. Besides, it;s a brother's job to protect their sister. We're gonna be together, until the end."

  Jackie just smiles as he tilts his head onto his fist. "Now your job is to be dead."

  Byzan's smile fades. "Oh no... But... I have to survive this, right."

  Jackie suddenly appears beside Byzan. "But you're not a hero, Byzz." he chuckles and kneels down beside him. "You are nothing but a little kid."

  Byzan looks down at himself, bloody gashes and cuts seep blood into his torn combat outfit. He tries to move his legs, but they refuse to listen.

  Byzan starts to feel cold as his hands start to refuse to listen to him. He tiredly looks over to Jackie, who sits beside him, staring out to the sun that's barely peaking over the horizon.

  "Jayjay?" Byzan weakly calls out, and Jackie looks over to him. "What's it like in heaven?"

  Jackie chuckles and shakes his head. "I don't know... Don't you forget, I'm just a part of your imagination." he disappears as Byzan's vision blurs.

  Byzan's eyes grow heavy as he falls to the side. "Bke...." His eyes slowly close. "...I'm scared..."

  A crow caws overhead as it flies away from Vale. A soft breeze rustles the leaves on the tree, a few falling onto the still Byzan below. Silence covers the pins surrounding Vale, no birds, no insects... no sounds of breathing.

  The sun slowly rises, casting its warm glow over everything. Darkness has faded away, casting away the horrors of the night.
