Full blown out Naval Battle Part -1

  (Persian's pov from their ships)

As dark clouds gathered over the ocean, the atmosphere grew increasingly tense. The night crackled with lightning as tiny droplets from the sky fell onto the tumultuous sea. The once-quiet tides roared, but the ships remained steadfast, braving the storm's fury.

The Safavid fleet, following its designated route, drew closer to the recent skirmish, witnessing the grim spectacle unfold before their eyes.

Wreckage and corpses floated in the water, and the air was thick with the acrid smell of burning wood and gunpowder. Yet, none of this diverted attention from the imminent confrontation as the rger ships prepared for the next phase of battle.

The first to react was the smaller Portuguese carrack. As the Omani fleet emerged on the horizon, the carrack executed a swift maneuver. The ringing of bells echoed as it churned the ocean, setting a safe distance from the rger carrack. For a moment, it seemed as though it was abandoning its companion in its time of need, but soon the anchors were dropped, and it altered its course.

The rger carrack also adjusted its position, presenting its broadsides to the enemy. Instead of a frontal assault, they now aimed their array of heavy cannons from the sides. They formed a battle line, aligning their hulls to cover each other's blind spots and present a unified front against the enemy.

With a thunderous roar, the rger carrack unleashed its firepower, cannons belching forth a hailstorm of cannonballs.

  'Boom!' 'Boom!' 'Boom!'

The sharp, metallic shriek of cannonballs slicing through the air was followed by deafening crashes as they struck the sea.

  'Spsh!'

The cannonballs missed the Omani fleet by mere inches. The challenge was clear: it was now up to the Omani fleet to decide if they would advance to avenge their fallen comrades.

In a surprising move, the Baghh ships retreated, but the sambuks held their ground. They prepared their swivel guns, clearly accepting the challenge. To onlookers, it might have seemed like a defiant mockery, but the fiery spirit of this small fleet soon became evident as they sailed into the blood-streaked waters.

The carracks responded with a coordinated barrage, their cannons booming in unison. Fireballs streaked through the air like a deadly volley, threatening to tear the sambuks apart. Yet, the nimble sambuks sailed with remarkable speed, evading the deadly projectiles that spshed into the sea where they had been moments before.

With the wind at their backs, the sambuks' teen sails billowed impressively. They danced around the bombardment, moving toward the carracks like serpents avoiding a barrage of arrows.

As they reached midway, the sambuks suddenly split into two groups, each targeting a different carrack. They darted through the night with practiced precision. The Omani crew shouted commands and encouragement, their voices barely audible over the roar of cannon fire and crashing waves, yet their resolve was unmistakably fierce.

But fortune does not always favor the brave.

The carracks continued their relentless assault, their heavy cannons booming like thundercps. Despite the sambuks' irregur zigzagging maneuvers and the crew's expert adjustments of sails and rudder, one brave sambuk was caught by a lucky shot.

The cannonball smashed through the sambuk's wooden hull with a resounding explosion. The impact sent a shudder through the vessel, scattering splinters and debris into the air. The crew's armed cries were swallowed by the chaos. The sambuk became a sitting duck, roasted under the continued bombardment.

Amid the turbulence of the sea, many cannonballs missed, but a few found their mark, engulfing the sambuk in fmes. The sight of the burning vessel against the night sky was a grim testament to the Portuguese cannons' deadly range.

Yet, the sacrifice of the fallen sambuk was not in vain. The remaining sambuks pressed on while the carracks took their time dealing with the caught sambuk. However, it took only two rounds of fire, and the distance covered by the other sambuks was not enough of a challenge.

With one sambuk down, the carracks turned their focus back to the daring ships that still challenged their might. They resumed their barrage, their cannons now targeting the resilient sambuks with renewed fury.

The remaining sambuks pressed on with unprecedented fury. With their speed and agility, they closed in on the carracks. The Portuguese cannons roared again, but the tide of the sea made it difficult to aim and fire accurately.

The first sambuk to reach the smaller carrack bombarded it with its swivel gun. However, the damage was minimal, akin to throwing a stone at an elephant. The crew of the carrack initially mocked the attempt, but their expressions changed as their mast was hit by another round.

All cannons turned towards the daring sambuk, but it was not foolish enough to stand still; it set sail, evading the attacks.

Soon, the other two sambuks closed in on their target. They harassed the rger carrack with hit-and-run tactics. But their efforts failed when a sambuk was struck by the smaller carrack, which had anticipated its direction and made a lucky shot. The earlier maneuver of the smaller carrack, moving to a safer distance and covering the blind angle, proved effective.

The fireball tearing through the sambuk's deck struck the gunpowder storage, resulting in a thundering bst that swiftly dispatched it deep beneath the sea.

But the sambuks remained undeterred. The remaining sambuks closed in, using their swivel guns to harass the carracks. Their small-caliber shots did little damage but drew the attention of the Portuguese gunners. This scene seemed very confusing to Safavid onlookers, who commented on it as a futile attempt of the sambuks to bang their heads against Portuguese walls.

Soon, their brave attempts to evade the fire became futile as another sambuk was eventually caught by a direct hit. The cannonball shattered the sambuk's mast, sending it crashing down onto the deck, with fmes spreading rapidly.

As the battle reached its final stage, the Portuguese crews shouted orders and directed their efforts to end the surviving sambuk once and for all. But before they could fire, an explosion occurred and shook the rger carrack.

Just as it seemed the smaller Omani fleet would be easily overwhelmed, a new threat emerged.
