Chapter 5:

  Chapter 5:

When Jung hee woke up groggily the following morning, he almost forgot about what happened to him last night. His body moved almost automatically as he dressed up quickly and went on doing his morning duties and feeding the animals in their next-door stall.

Jung was cleaning the barn of droppings and other detritus made by the bored old cow who is now eating contentedly in her corner, when the little boy remembered everything.

“Ah!” he exclaimed, almost jumping where he stood. Old Buching, the cow, glared at him as it flinched in surprise at Jung’s exclamation but did not stop munching her grass.

Jung ignored the cow and quickly opened his status screen. Sure enough, there were some changes from the last time he saw it:

The change in the MIND attribute was almost glaring to Jung’s brain since he’d long since eyeballed his status screen and all 3 key attributes are normally zero, so the 1 in MIND is something that smacked him right in the face. What it means to him, however, is still unknown.

Another big difference is the fact that there are now sub-attributes below MIND when there were none before.

Jung paused for several seconds, then he scratched his head. He reread the information when he highlighted the word MIND.

Suddenly, two more messages popped up in front of his face. Crunching his face in concentration, Jung read the first one.

Little Jung Hee face at the time could not be described. At best, it is a mixture of conflicting emotions swirling inside of him. He scratched his head and frowned his little brows. Now what? He thought to himself, confused. Hoping for better understanding, Jung reread the entire passage two more times.

He opened his status screen and dove back at the information offered once more.

Frowning, he read the last message.

The moment he finished reading the final word in the sentence, Jung received another pop up alert.

Rubbing his chin, Jung's eyes lingered in the information in the MIND attribute once more. The daily quest is easy, but the other quest worried him. How the hell can he learn a new "skill?" Even so, he is determined to finish this quest unscathed. But how?

This is getting more complicated by the minute, Jung thought sourly.
