When you confirmed to bring up the Classes, you expected to see, well, Classes.
Instead, you’re shown this:
You observe the screen, confused. Surely, worlds are not Classes, you think. Well, not surely, but probably worlds are not Classes. With just a little bit of experimentation, you figure out that you can open each world in its own window.
You arrange them in front of you, side by side.
You study the descriptions until you almost know them by heart. They are not created alike; they feel to you almost as if written by different people. Or maybe based on different rulebooks.
Another thing bothers you: None of these worlds is ranked "beginner-friendly", or "easy", or something equally inviting. The choice is between "medium" and "hard", which is no choice at all. You're not about to take any chances with this, so really, the only choice you're considering is between "medium" and "medium".
This gives you the options of being a human on Locry, or a peasant on N?r. You don't meet the level requirement for the other classes, not to mention not being able to afford the cost. You don't know what SP is yet, but what the System readily tells you is that you have exactly zero.
You give a mental shrug.
You pause for but a moment before you hit confirm.
Which class would you choose?
