Chapter 109: A Change in Circumstances

  Several people were caught by the late-arriving police and cried their hearts out. They should have checked the almanac before going out today, or else they wouldn't have run into a few seemingly vulnerable jinxes for no reason, got beaten up without saying anything, and now they have to make a trip to the Public Security Bureau.

  "Officer, you're wronging us, we're the victims. Look at how we've been beaten." Several of them had been crying and complaining nonstop since they arrived.

  "You're still victims, it's not bad that you don't harm others. How many times is this this month?" The leader was surprisingly a female police officer. These people were habitual offenders, always making big mistakes and small mistakes repeatedly. Each time, they would be detained for only a few days, and there was no other way to deal with them.
