Chapter 65: This is Just Silly!

  (Victoria’s POV)

When the game started, I was very shocked. Ripped from my dimension, I was forced to wait and watch the game play out. For a while, there was nothing for us to see.

But, after almost over two years later, there were finally events being shown to us. At first, it wasn’t interesting in the least. But… soon, one player became the person that most of the viewers seemed to watch religiously.

She was… Celia, the girl who I saw as my daughter to a degree. I was very worried for her, but I then learned that Celia had gotten quite powerful since we last saw her. In truth, her power was… unbelievable.

Selen: “Will she ever be challenged in this game?” She asked with an unsure tone.

Clarisa: “Is that even a real question? So far, she has breezed through the game. And right now, isn’t Celia just pretending to be weak?” She replied.

  Victoria: “…”

Their conversation would be interesting to interject, but why bother? The two women were munching on their snacks. Various tasty candies, as well as something called “popcorn,” was being eaten by them. Of course, I was eating such treats as well.

Victoria: “Let’s just hope that she does win the game. If she loses… then we will be erased along with our universe.” I say with a sigh.

The weight of this game was told to all of us, so we knew what was at stake, and how Celia was fighting for us to survive. Though, even those not from our universe were rooting for Celia, oddly…

Clarisa: “Hope? Is that even needed? If I was to make a guess, Celia is being greatly favored by the game.” She replied with a confident tone.

Selen: “I agree. Why else would she be given the chance to get such a useful item, and at the exact time that she needed it?” She added.

Victoria: “Well, that being the case would be great. But I will still be praying for her success.” I say with a shrug.

Selen: “Oh, bold of you to assume that we won’t also be doing the same as well.” She said with a giggle.

Clarisa: “Yes, though not helpful in the least, I will be praying for Celia too.” She added with a smile.

My group was having fun, I guess. Since we were somewhat connected to Celia, we were given private rooms for free. A room to watch the game, as well as rooms for each of us to live in. After all, the game will be very long.

Celia has touched the hearts of many people in her existence… It does make me curious… How many other people were also given such treatment by the staff of this game?

In fact… it was like the staff either saw Celia as some holy being, or as someone to be greatly feared. When the game wasn’t being shown to us, what did Celia do to earn such respect and fear from the staff members? Knowing her, it was probably something very, very absurd…
