"Why are you mad at me for?" Bryan asked Celest who stood next to him and was getting ready to take a blood sample.

  Celest squinted her beautiful eyes at him before smiling such a fake smile which sent chills down his spine and caused the two girls to ugh nervously after seeing it, simply because they're sitting on the recliners next to Bryan which means it's their turn next and whatever happens to him might actually turn out to be their fate!

  "Can't you see that I'm supposed to do everything here? Normally there would be a team of more than a dozen people helping one another but now there's only myself to take care of all of you!" Celest shouted in his face like a drill master in a military school before sticking the needle in his vein.

  *Click*

  "Huh!" The three girls stared in shock at the bent tip of the needle then towards Bryan's arms which didn't have any trace of being scratched or injured.

  "Why don't we stick to performance measurement for myself and complete the tests quickly then have the three of them scheduled for a checkup ter?" Bryan said while getting up and walked towards the corner where he's supposed to change into a special attire which monitors the body from head to toe.

  Celest looked towards Linnet and Riley then gave them an apologetic look which they accepted with a smile.

  "I'm here!" David rudely pushed the door open which earned him a fierce gre from Celest who was already in a bad mood.

  "Out! Hit the gym and stay on the treadmill until we're done, anything lower than 12km/h and you're toast! Do you hear me?" Celest shouted.

  David froze once he was about to make himself scarce then nodded while saying : "Yes Ma'am."

  Celest crossed her arms and said : "Good. We'll see if those muscles of yours are just for show, no scking now."

  Linnet and Riley giggled once they saw David escaping from this coach Celest as if his life depends on it! But once her eyes fell on them and she smiled while checking their bodies with her eyes scanning up and down as Celest circled them... these two were no longer amused.

  "Any sports background?" Celest asked while squatting between them and checking their legs with her hands which kept groping the muscles.

  "Gymnastics."

  "Swimming." Both of them answered in the same time while exchanging a smile, they remembered the days back in middle and high school before they decided to end their journey there and stop pursuing education which is a path unfit for the two of them.

  "When should I schedule your medical examination?" Celest asked while looking at the board.

  "let's make it early in the morning, that way we can have it completed then take care of the matter of Linda and Alex before dinner time." Riley said and Linnet nodded after thinking about it.

  Celest looked at the free time tomorrow morning and asked : "The earliest appointment time is at 8AM. There's also vacancy at 9AM and 11AM."

  "How long does it take?" Linnet asked while turning to look towards Bryan after hearing the sound of the door opening.

  "Less than an hour." Celest answered.

  Linnet stifled her ugh once she saw Bryan in these tights which had tiny parts sticking out everywhere which made him look like a humanoid hedgehog which got its quills trimmed extremely short!

  "Make it 9AM then." Linnet said while covering her mouth.

  "Bffft..." Riley wasn't willing to be sensitive towards this fellow which is why she exploded.

  Celest had it much better though because this isn't the first time she saw this attire, but she couldn't bme them since she herself reacted much like Riley the first time she saw that sight.

  "Get in the machine and wait for me." Celest said while opening the door of a chamber which was completely empty inside and the size of its interior was twice as big of the room they were in.

  Bryan gred at Riley before entering and she just stuck our her tongue to reply.

  Celest typed some commands on the keyboard before taking something tiny which looks like a small piece of magnet and moved it on the sticking parts of Bryan's comical outfit starting from down upwards until she reached the ones on top of his head, whenever she passed one it'd light up red then yellow then green then blue then purple and bck before finally turning white.

  "While inside this chamber, follow the commands you see." Then took a helmet from a small compartment right next to the door and helped Bryan wear it then pulled some ziploc which sealed it firmly on his head while fusing it with the weird outfit.

  Celest left the chamber and closed the door then pressed a key on the keyboard which caused some machines to whirl noisily while activating.

  Linnet looked towards the door and asked : "What's going to happen now?" Clearly she's worried about him.

  "He's going to be just fine." Celest waved it like nothing is wrong with this situation before saying : "How about we go do something about our time while he's done testing himself." Then pushed the two girls towards the door while adding : "I recommend some light warm-ups before we hit the pool, today it's empty and you two can have it all for yourselves."

  "Awesome!" Riley said while feeling her excitement rise since it's been a long time since she had time to go for a swim.

  Linnet on the other hand took one final look at the chamber before the door closed and pouted slightly while looking at Celest who refused to give them a clear answer and didn't allow them to stay and watch either.

  Bryan on the other hand no longer saw an empty room.

  He was standing in front of a mountain and from behind him where the forest is located a hiking trail was going upwards, his task is to exactly follow that pathway.

  Since there's a timer then it means the faster he completed the task the better, which is why Bryan took off running up the mountain while following this trail.

  But for some weird reason some kind of glitch kept happening whenever he moved beyond certain speed and the image in front of him would switch from the mountain trail to the chamber itself, that's when Bryan saw the floor move beneath his feet and elevate then twist from angle to angle to match the trail he's supposed to be trekking!

  'So that's the purpose of this chamber.' Bryan said while maintaining the pace of the requirement.

  *Ding*

  Once he reached the summit Bryan heard a ding in his ear then an electric current overcame his physique and washed over him repeatedly three time like waves crashing on the shore he felt refreshed as if that electric current really did wash his exhaustion away.

  Again he found himself standing beneath another mountain and this time Bryan didn't waste any time and took off running however, Bryan noticed that he can actually go a bit faster without seeing the glitch on the screen of his helmet.

  Welcoming the improvement, Bryan moved a bit faster on this trail which turned out to be a little bit complicated compared to the one before it.

  *Ding*

  Of course a few fallen logs and rocks blocking his way were no trouble at all to someone like Bryan who stood at the summit watching the scenery while enjoying the four waves of electric currents as they washed over his muscles which felt like they're warmed-up by now.

  The third hiking trail was very complicated and Bryan had to jump over chasms more than six meters wide and to climb steep rock walls more than fifty meters high.

  *Ding*

  Five waves made Bryan actively seek the most challenging parts of the next mountain which had almost vertical angle to it, but thankfully Bryan felt like he can freely move without causing the system to glitch which reflected on his performance during this task after his movement became a lot more synchronized and accurate.

  The angle of the mountain forced Bryan to do more rock climbing and jumping and a lot less running which wasted a lot of time but he was making progress which is more than enough to satisfy his excitement and to fuel his sense of adventure.

  *Ding*

  Six waves was twice as hard compared to five but Bryan was sure that his body could still handle more pressure without falling apart.

  However, for some reason the next mountain was giving him a bad feeling.

  First of all is the heat and humidity, yes Bryan could feel himself sweating and the humidity was causing his skin temperature to go up after his own sweat absorbed the heat and transmitted it to him through his skin.

  Still Bryan ignored the damn imaginary weather and followed the trail until he was forced to use his hands to climb his way upwards.

  But even though he knew that somewhere down the line he's going to have to climb his way through the snowy mountain top, once it happened Bryan had to struggle for such a long time against the extreme weather conditions and the cold until he finally managed to adapt but most of his exhaustion wasn't actually burdening his physique but his mentality instead.

  *Ding*

  "Ugh! Fuck this hurts." Bryan cursed while getting zapped by extremely potent currents of electricity in the form of waves which crashed against him for seven long and exhausting turns.

  *Rumble*

  Looking up towards the sky, Bryan saw the sky dark and cloudy on top of the open maw of this angry volcano which kept spewing fming meteors seemingly at random!

  Lightning arcs swam within the thick dark cloud and every once in a while one of these lightning bolts would strike the ground beneath it.

  Just the sound of these fming meteors whizzing down and crashing against the ground like missiles and the roaring sound of thunder would strike fear in any normal human being but Bryan is no longer among the category of normal people.

  "At least there wouldn't be too much climbing in this task." Bryan said while running towards the summit of this active volcano.
