Chapter 94: Skill Combination

  NobleCrow

After completing the awakening of the death soldiers and leaving their training to Mikhael, I was eager to resume my own training, keeping Eve's advice in mind. As I entered the training room designated for the guards, I was taken aback to find the twins deep in meditation.

The moment they heard the door close and realized it was me entering, they sprang into action, clinging to me like pyful koas. Their excitement was contagious, and I couldn't help but ugh as I swung them around, relishing in their joyful reactions.

Ha-Eun couldn't contain her curiosity and blurted out, "What are you doing here? Weren't you supposed to be busy with your experiments? Did everything go well?"

With a smile, I gently set them down and replied, "Well, I've completed all the experiments, and they were a success. I've entrusted Mikhael with training my death soldiers. And don't worry, when the rest arrive, I'll awaken you too. That's when the real fun and hard work begins."

Hana's eyes sparkled with anticipation as she asked, "So, you're saying we'll become humanoids like you?"

"Yep, you'll be humanoids just like me. Now, I have some training to do. How about joining me and witnessing something interesting this time?"

Not wanting to miss this opportunity, both twins eagerly nodded and settled on the ground, their eyes fixed on me, ready to absorb every detail.

Their enthusiasm fueled my determination to impress them. Taking a deep breath, I shouted, "Soul Barrier!" Instantly, I could feel the mana leaving my body as a hexagonal ethereal construct began to materialize before me.

The construct stood at a meter tall and wide, with a thickness of 10 centimeters, hovering in front of me. With a mere thought, I commanded the construct to move, and it obeyed. I then willed it to expand and contract, witnessing the corresponding increase or decrease in mana consumption.

Now came the challenging part. I imagined the construct multiplying, and to my amazement, five more constructs materialized. Attempting to summon more, I felt a resistance in my mind and soul, indicating that five was the current limit. Nevertheless, it was a significant achievement.

As the constructs hovered before me, I directed them to move away, and they complied. However, I discovered that the maximum distance I could control them from was approximately 5 meters.

Satisfied with this experiment, I decided to push further. To my surprise, I was able to change the shapes of the barriers at will. From spirals to spheres, rectangles to any imaginable shape, I effortlessly maniputed them. I even discovered that combining multiple barriers posed no challenge at all.

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't shake the feeling that this skill was solely meant for defense and not for attack. It was frustrating, to say the least. But thanks to Eve's suggestion today, I finally found a way to work around it.

I commanded the activation of another skill, Soul Armament, but this time, I didn't direct it towards myself. Instead, I focused on the constructs. With a combination of souls and mana, I watched in sheer delight as the constructs became enveloped in a metallic film, the same material used to create armor.

When I instructed the covered constructs to move, they obeyed just as they had before. But this time, I commanded them to transform into spirals and rotate, and they effortlessly complied. It was truly astonishing. Not only had I managed to turn a purely defensive skill into an offensive one, but I had also added the power of torque to it.

Torque, the force that causes something to rotate or twist, was now at my disposal. I had essentially created multiple drills with enough torque to puncture steel and more, depending on the force applied. The possibilities were exhirating.

Eager to test the drilling power, I approached the steel walls of the training room. With the constructs pressed against the wall, I infused them with additional mana to intensify their rotation. In an instant, the walls were pierced, and the rock behind them was drilled through, only stopping when the constructs reached their maximum range of 5 meters. It was a dispy of sheer force and precision.

This is absolute madness! The sheer power and potential of these drills are mind-blowing. How did I not think of combining these skills before?

The twins, witnessing the incredible force of the drills, couldn't contain their excitement and began squealing with delight. In the midst of their exhiration, Hana excimed, "If only we could unch them, they'd be like rotating pile drivers!"

Her words struck a chord within me, igniting a spark of inspiration. A rotating pile driver... not a bad idea at all.

Unable to contain my excitement, I shouted, causing the twins to flinch, "Hana, you're a freaking genius! A rotating pile driver! I can make that happen. I really can!"

With Hana's brilliant idea fueling my determination, I carefully removed the constructs from the bedrock and commanded them to be unched. However, to my disappointment, the force behind their unch was disappointingly weak.

As I pondered a solution to this setback, Eve interjected with a suggestion, "Young master, why not utilize Soul Burst Wave?"

"Yes! That's it! That's it, Eve!" I excimed, a surge of excitement coursing through me.

Focusing on the ft area of the spirals, I envisioned an expansive area equivalent to the circur bottom of the spiral and called upon my skill, Soul Burst Wave. The resulting explosion was so powerful that the spirals were unched into motion, piercing through the wall and disappearing into the distance, beyond my line of sight.

I stood there, utterly stunned, gazing at the impressive holes I had created through the combination of skills. As I turned to look at the twins, their jaws dropped in awe, mirroring my own astonishment.

However, Ha-Eun, never one to be overshadowed by her sister, snapped out of her stupor and threw another wild idea into the mix.

"Hey, Xeno, why not make them explode after they drill?" she suggested, her eyes gleaming with mischief.

"Now hold on a minute. Hold on a damn minute," I replied, taken aback by the sheer audacity and destructive nature of her idea.

"Butttt, I like it. I really like it. Let's give it a try."

Ha-Eun's idea required some time and careful implementation. First, I had to create the spirals from scratch using Soul Barrier. Then, before coating them, I utilized the same skill once more to create a sphere within each spiral. Inside these spheres, I filled them with the power of Soul Burst Wave but refrained from activating it immediately. Surprisingly, the process went smoothly, revealing my ability to control the timing of skill activation as I desired.

Next, I coated the spirals with a thick yer using Soul Armament, and with a surge of mana, I commanded them to spin at the highest possible speed. The anticipation was palpable as I prepared for the final step.

With bated breath, I unleashed Soul Burst Wave once again, directing it towards the walls and unching the spirals. They zoomed through the air, piercing the walls with incredible force. But before they could deplete all the mana used to create them and dissipate, I snapped my fingers, and in an instant, BOOM.

The entire facility trembled under the force unleashed, leaving us in a state of shock and awe. Our minds went bnk as we beheld the sight before us.

A colossal hole had been bsted through the wall, so massive that it could easily accommodate a literal bunker. The resounding boom of the explosions echoed through the corridors, drawing the attention of everyone within the facility. Chefs, technicians, guards, nurses, Mikhael, the death soldiers, and even Aurora, all rushed to witness the spectacle. As they swung open the door, their eyes widened in disbelief, rendering them speechless and frozen in their tracks.

It was my voice, addressing the technicians, that finally snapped them out of their stupor. "As you can see," I began, my tone commanding attention, "I've bsted through the walls. So, technicians, I have two tasks for you. First, dig out the remaining portion of the hole and construct a room using the sturdiest materials you can find. Don't worry about the cost; I have more than enough resources. Secondly, I need you to acquire a couple of repair robots to swiftly mend any damages that may occur. Trust me, more incidents like this are likely to happen in the future."

I paused, my voice turning ominously cold as I continued, "As for the rest of you, the show is over. Return to your stations immediately."

The gravity of the situation hung in the air, and the urgency in my words left no room for hesitation.

They all scurried away like mice or ants back to their pces leaving the twins, Aurora, and myself in the destroyed room.
