A decade of fate is hard to defy

Ten days of fate cannot be violated

Li Wei has left Xiaoyi, now she is the most precious one in her grandma's house. After all, she used to be mature, otherwise she really wanted to dig out all the delicious and fun things that her grandma had hidden for years, but unfortunately, people are not objects, and she doesn't have the mood or face to do so anymore.

Might as well visit some relatives since I'm free anyway.

My eldest uncle lives in the front yard, he has a small donkey cart, every day he goes to the winery where Li Wei's father is and pulls some wine lees to sell on the street. He has a two-year-old son, nicknamed Lao Hu, who is taken care of by his aunt. His aunt is a girl from the village where Li Wei's family lives, introduced by Li Wei's mother Cheng Min. And that second aunt who lives in the street behind grandma's house, who got married less than a year ago, was also introduced by old mom Cheng Min from Linjia Village.

Li Wei thought that if her grandma had given birth to a few more sons, her mother could have married off all the girls in their village. If she had given birth to a few more daughters, then her mother could have married off all the young men in the village, and the two villages could have become related by marriage.

It can be seen that her mother has a talent for pyramid schemes, no wonder she likes to farm and engage in commerce.

It's been many years since the household contract responsibility system was implemented, and Li Wei's family has rented out their large tracts of land to others for farming, only keeping a small plot for growing some grain and vegetables. This behavior is still quite avant-garde in this era, after all, locally speaking, people have just barely achieved a warm and full life, let alone a relatively comfortable one, which was something that happened more than ten years later with economic development.

It's still more than half a month before the autumn harvest, which is one of the less busy seasons of the year, second only to winter. Grandpa has also been resting for several days, and together with Grandma, they have been tending to the vegetable garden, cleaning up farm tools, and preparing for the upcoming autumn harvest season.

Li Wei had nothing to do, so she went to the front yard to see her eldest maternal cousin, Da Hu. Her eldest maternal cousin looked very much like her aunt, with a white and chubby face, big black eyes, and was very likable. When this eldest maternal cousin grew up, he also followed in his father's footsteps and made great achievements. His uncle drove a donkey cart, while he rode a tricycle, commonly known as "three donkeys" in the countryside.

The big tiger is too small, more than a year old, just learning to walk, can't speak yet, but obviously very happy to see Li Wei, making "ya ya" sounds wanting Li Wei to hug him. The eldest maternal aunt has a relatively simple and honest personality, not very talkative, far less skilled in social interactions compared to the second maternal aunt from the same village.

Li Wei played for a while and couldn't take it anymore. The kids were too heavy, the aunt was too boring!

She's here on vacation, not to take her kids elsewhere, this place is not suitable for long stay, hurry up and leave.

The next household to visit is Second Uncle's home. Second Uncle is the same as Big Uncle. They all separated and lived on their own after getting married.

The second uncle's contracted land was originally the village's horse-drawn carriage. Three horses, one cart. The configuration is several levels higher than that of the eldest uncle. In terms of social status and interpersonal relationships in the village, it is also better than the eldest uncle. Like the eldest uncle, they are all three-room tile houses.

Just because her uncles all had their own homes after getting married, Li Wei always thought that her grandparents' generation lived a pretty successful life.

In rural areas, there is a saying: Build a house for your son and marry him off. Then you can close your eyes in peace for the rest of your life.

Most importantly, all the children are married and living well. They also know how to live a good life. The family education is also successful.

Although later Xiao Yi got married many times and changed jobs more frequently, Li Wei felt that this had nothing to do with her grandparents. If there was any connection, it was that they shouldn't have let her read so many books. Didn't the ancients say:

Those who often kill dogs are usually of a heroic and righteous nature, while those who betray others are often scholars.

So the quality is not absolutely related to the amount of reading. Li Wei felt that her aunt was just a little educated, but actually not much, but opened her horizons, and her spirit also rose, many pursuits are also rising with the tide, higher and higher.

It's probably because she doesn't read many books that bad things might happen, but those who really read and understand books may not necessarily live as turbulently as she does.

Li Wei thought about her worries all the way and soon arrived at her second uncle's home. Her second uncle was out transporting goods for someone, but her second aunt warmly welcomed her.

"When did Xiaoming arrive? Your parents are fine, right? Let's have lunch here at noon. Second Aunt will make you a pancake with eggs."

Li Wei sighed inwardly, thinking that they came from the same village, yet there was such a huge difference in their lives.

She went to her aunt's place and didn't say a word.

My second aunt is a straightforward and capable person who doesn't talk much, but works efficiently. They are two completely different people. It's really true that "one kind of rice can raise a hundred kinds of people".

Li Wei felt that perhaps her mother regretted introducing her introverted eldest aunt, so she was more cautious when introducing the second aunt, who had an extroverted personality.

Li Wei stayed at her second uncle's home for a while before leaving.

The big aunt is gloomy, and the second aunt is a bit ill-intentioned. From the moment Li Wei entered the door, her grandfather went to their home several times to deliver something or take something away, how much salary her father earns, how much money her mother can make now, blah blah blah...

Li Wei thought that her second aunt should be renamed "Ba Da Ting". She also thought that the middle-aged woman with no quality, who was over 20 years old, was a result of her hardships in life, but it turned out that she had always been like this. It's just that at this time, she hid among the elderly and siblings, and now that Li Wei has arrived, she doesn't treat her as a human being, exposing her true nature of being gossipy and nosy.

I wonder how many family secrets were extracted by my second aunt in her previous life. Alas, I was inexperienced back then!

It's fortunate that I've lived a bit longer, otherwise my family's little secrets would have been exposed under Second Aunt's piercing gaze. Now Li Wei just wants to say something to her mom: Mom, be careful when introducing us to relatives, there are risks involved!

She just came to take a look, but it was another confirmation that the material life in this era is really lacking. Even Er Yi Shu Mu's newly established home didn't have much to see, Li Wei looked at it like an old movie, and poverty is not a good memory.

Besides, she and her second aunt didn't have much in common, after all they were from different generations. Although her second aunt tried to persuade her to stay, offering to make her a fried egg pancake, Li Wei still wanted to go back to her grandma's house for dinner. Li Wei declined her second aunt's kindness, if she didn't leave soon, she really couldn't guarantee that she wouldn't reveal all the hidden holes in the house to her second aunt, so that it would be convenient for her second aunt to send a few cats over and save some cat food.

Rushed back to grandma's house before lunch.

After lunch at grandma's house, she took a nap. Near dusk, her eldest uncle returned, and Li Wei begged him to take her home, as she still had school tomorrow and didn't want to ride grandpa's bike that left before dawn.

The elder brother-in-law had a very good temper and agreed immediately. Without unloading the small donkey, he directly loaded Li Wei on it and headed home.

Grandma originally wanted to give some vegetables to her eldest daughter, but Li Wei refused without saying a word. The second aunt is someone who doesn't miss a trick, and she was watching with keen eyes and ears. Besides, their family didn't lack those things anyway. If Grandma had given them away, it would have fallen into the second aunt's trap, making things difficult for her.

Actually, many years later when grandma and grandpa were old, her mother would always return to her maiden home with big and small bags, but return empty-handed. Now Li Wei thinks that it's not unrelated to Second Aunt.

More than ten miles away, it took less than half an hour to get home, and my eldest uncle was invited by my mother to have dinner on the way.

What made Li Wei a little surprised was that, except for her father who was not at home, her mother and twins showed unusual enthusiasm for Li Wei's return.

It can't be! Is it really "out of sight, out of mind"?

Three years without seeing each other, younger brother and sister and old mother miss themselves, a bit sweetly said.

Then, the old mother invited her brother-in-law to rest in the house and turned to Li Ming with a relieved expression: "Xiao Ming, make some pancakes for Xiao Lin and Xiao Hui to eat. They've been quarreling all day, just because they think I didn't make them well. Oh, and take them out to play too, today they're suffocated at home, making me dizzy with their noise, go quickly!" After finishing her instructions, she turned around and left.

This is her mother, a hardworking person, but she just doesn't like doing farm work and taking care of children.

Li Wei looked at the two little ones with a puzzled expression: "Owed a beating again, say, what did you do at home today, and you even know how to pick food?"

Li Lianhui didn't make a sound, Li Lin secretly glanced at her sister: "Hmm... even mom's baked pancake isn't fragrant..."

Her sister is sometimes more frightening than her mother.

Li Wei stared at her: "It's all mom's buns, how come they're not fragrant? Look at me taking a rest for a day, looking for something to do!"

She's been a handful since she was little, always thinking Li Lin is no good and causing trouble every three days.

"Not at all, mom... I don't want to put oil and sugar either."

Li Lin saw her sister staring at her buttocks and quickly explained that it was her mother's fault.

Unfortunately, no matter how fast she explained, she couldn't stop her little sister's palm from slapping her, although it didn't hurt.

Li Wei was not that angry, after all, she was just a child, and her hand was itchy, if she didn't rub it on Li Lin's body, she wouldn't feel comfortable. Thinking about this little girl growing up, she had often used Li Lin as a foil to set off her own beauty, in order to achieve her own proud goals.

This girl was raised by her parents just like me, how did she grow up to be so weird!

"What's going on with them not going out to play, where are Wu Feng and Er Baozi?"

Li Lin said dejectedly: "No one is left, Wu Feng has gone to her aunt's house again, and Er Baozi has gone out to play with his brother."

"What about Luo Jianhua and Luo Jianzhong?" The surrounding neighbors' children are running all over the street, where has your usual cleverness gone?

Li Lin said with a bit of grievance: "Didn't you say that I shouldn't play with Luo Jianzhong?"

Oh, yes, it seems she did say this when she was momentarily angry, however:

"What about you? Won't you take Xiaohui out for a stroll?"

Li Lin realized that her sister seemed determined to punish her today and felt a bit panicked:

"Yesterday, I heard Wu Feng say that there are kidnappers catching little kids."

Li Wei was originally not angry, but after hearing about Pahua's matter, she almost got angry and lay down.

This is Li Lin, grown up to be even more cunning than a fox spirit, that timid and fearful one. I reckon if it weren't for this silly older sister of hers taking the lead, this little girl wouldn't have ventured out of the house her whole life.

This time she didn't bother to tease Li Lin, she wasn't in the mood. She went to the cupboard and took out two buns, then opened the pot to make some snacks for the twins.

"I'm telling you two, remember, you can go out and play by yourselves, but don't go too far. Tell a grown-up where you're going. Don't talk to strangers outside, and if someone you don't know tries to take you away, don't follow them, even if they say they know Mom or Dad, or offer you treats. They might be bad people."

Alas, this is fate, she was just destined to be a nanny.
