Bobby forced himself not to look round at the obvious crash behind him, readying himself for the chaos that was about to ensue. His fingers blurred into motion as he began weaving a magic filament into existence.
The Boss reached the mouth of the tunnel as he completed the spell, one of his great arms flashing forwards like a jackhammer and disintegrating the entire torso of a skeleton. Before he could do it to another one the skeletons leapt forwards, showing their lack of self preservation, trying to press themselves against his body en masse so he couldn’t move his arms.
For a moment it looked like they had succeeded in immobilising the monster of a man, but a small whine began in the man's arms as something charged up. For a few seconds the wine got louder until it was ear piercing then there was a thrum of energy and a shockwave slammed out from the man's arms, dislocating all the skeletons.
Bobby’s eardrums burst with the shockwave, and he fought to gain his balance as his inner ear briefly malfunctioned. Gary collapsed beside him and Bobby deafly directed two skeletons to drag him away to a safe distance.
Bobby carefully surveyed the situation, the skeletons were no longer keeping the boss contained, but the shockwave he’d made seemed to have damaged the man a bit more than it had damaged anyone else. It made sense, but the man also had a much higher tolerance for damage it seemed and was already shrugging off the effects slightly better than Bobby.
Bobby noticed his spell had begun unravelling and focused all his mind on keeping it steady; it would not be wise for him to be defenseless now. Realising he only had a matter of time he shrank the filament as thin as it would go and threw one end of it behind the man, going the other way to catch it like a cheese wire.
The wire was now wrapped tightly around the man's neck and while narrowing it as thinly as possible, Bobby gave a tug, nothing made someone submit like stopping them breathing. The cyborg's breaths grew strained as he resisted though, and via sheer force pulled away.
Bobby felt the wire digging in and released it, still sure they needed to save the man's life to use him as a pawn. As he looked back he noticed the wire had indeed done some damage, it had sunk into the man's skin and severed what looked like a pipe. A greenish gas for some reason was blowing from the pipe, and he could guess it would be hissing loudly if he could hear it.
The man looked confused for a second and then shrugged with a smirk, opening his mouth to say something, before realising neither he nor the person he was trying to communicate with could hear anything right now. His expression got a bit strained as he once again tried to yell, completely mute to Bobby.
The emission of green gas increased. It didn’t seem to be immediately vital, but Bobby was suddenly a bit unsure. That pipe could have big consequences for being severed and his magic could not repair technology. Ah it’s okay, I’ll just slap some duck tape on it if it's important. He snickered at a private joke, imagining some surgeon just slapping some duck tape onto an exposed heart in the middle of surgery. Ah, now’s not the time to make jokes though.

The boss recovered and spun around with inhuman speed, there was a crunch as one of his titanic arms glanced off Bobby’s side and shattered one of his ribs. Luckily though it was only a passing glance as even though the boss could spin around he wasn’t quite capable of stopping his momentum.
Bobby let out a silent shriek as the pain from the sharp pieces of rib that were digging into his flesh internally finally registered. He forced more magic into his system and began retreating while more skeletons stepped forwards to sacrifice themselves to protect him. He winced as he sprinted over to where Gary was, taking pause as he watched the boss once again barrel towards them.
The man was a behemoth, he could not be stopped by anything anyone but Bobby could do. Bobby watched as a skeleton shot the Boss in the mouth and the man winced before spitting out a bullet a few seconds later. His mind momentarily blanked at the ridiculousness of that interaction. How is there armour even in his mouth? Are his very bones swapped out with something stronger?
His cards felt like they were running out so he began to do the only thing he could, cast the orb of annihilation, they would fail in their objective, but at least they wouldn’t die. Bobby’s hands began weaving the spell into existence, trying to go as fast as he could still accurately go.
There was a loud crackle in his right ear as it once again very dimly began receiving noise that wasn’t the loud whine left over from the shockwave earlier. At the same time, he conjured the orb into existence, its white glow disguising the true danger of the spell.
The Boss saw the orb in his hands and smiled like a predator, sweeping some of the remaining skeletons aside and rushing at him. More skeletons tried to close rank, but they were incapable of stopping his momentum. Bobby didn’t wait for the man to get close, opting instead to throw the ball of light.
The boss tracked it with his eyes as the ball shot towards his arm, the man was too big to dodge, so he would have to take it dead on. He raised an arm out in a punch to meet it dead on.
For a moment time slowed as Bobby ducked down, very much glad of the small amount of distance he had between him and Gary and the man.
There was a horrible squeal as the Bosses arm touched the orb and the three metals that composed the material realised they weren’t meant to occupy the same space. Then great spikes shot out, most being immediately incinerated, but a few horrifying ones remaining at the circumference, pinning into the floor and walls before bending with the man's momentum like some forbidden eldritch geometrical texture. Then with a terrifying continuation of the racket the orb passed through the rest of the arm, causing the whole thing to fragmented from the inside. Luckily there wasn’t too much bitanium inside the arm itself, or Bobby suspected there would be a lot more collateral damage.
The Boss bellowed with the pain, surprise flashing through his eyes as he failed to comprehend how easily his invincible metal armour had been bypassed.
