Chapter 16: Kill Me (Part 1) Please Collect
"Ugh!"
Baili rushed to a water bucket and vomited violently.
He hugged the bucket with one arm, his head almost stuffed into it, his back arched and heaved, emitting a series of vomiting sounds, his body like a limp noodle, collapsed to the ground.
After vomiting for a while, Bill raised his head, and the saliva in his mouth was like silk threads, crystal clear. He weakly said: "I'm done, I'm going to die, who can help me?"
He turned his head to look, but saw the sailors lined up at the ship's side, holding onto the railing and vomiting wildly, one after another, this one spitting out and that one starting again, rising and falling in succession, quite a magnificent sight.
It seems that there is no hope in them after all.
A glimmer of despair flashed in Bill's eyes.
"I'll come and help you..."
William staggered and stumbled, like a drunkard, towards Bill with unsteady steps. He took a few steps forward, then suddenly his knees went soft and he knelt down in front of Bill, letting out a loud "whoa" as he vomited a colorful mess.
William retched for a while, turned over, and lay on the ground, regardless of the filth beside him, as if paralyzed, not seeing any of his previous fierce appearance in battle.
William, who has been sailing with Captain Ball for eight years, said: "I have seen countless storms and traversed countless dangerous whirlpools. I have traveled to four of the seven seas, and even crossed the treacherous West Ciderian Sea safely. Who would have thought that today I would encounter such a disaster in the calm Atak Sea!"
His voice was choked with sobs, filled with extreme regret and unwillingness: "I'm really late in preserving my virtue!"
Bill had one hand on his body, and he rolled his eyes: "Don't say anything, I've been sailing with Captain Ball for ten years! What wind and waves haven't I seen? What stormy weather haven't I gone through? Whether the sea goddess Tira is furious or gentle, crazy or calm, I've tasted her flavor. But, unexpectedly, today was capsized in a hidden ditch, and was overturned by this little brat!"
He stretched out one hand, his five fingers like hooks, and let out a loud, hoarse shout: "I refuse to accept this!!"
"You two bastards, stop your nonsense! Get over there and puke!" Pastor Horn's face was deathly pale, one hand covering his mouth as if he was about to vomit at any moment. He kicked William and Bill with a muffled curse: "You two have made this place a mess with your vomiting, it's making me want to throw up too!"
William and Bill exchanged a glance, panting, and sneered: "Horn, don't hold back, if you want to vomit, just vomit, it's all right!"
Horn glared at them: "Do you still want me to treat your wounds in the future?"
No sooner had he finished speaking than the ship beneath their feet suddenly made a sharp turn, tilting to one side. The objects floating on the deck immediately slid towards the other side of the ship's rail.
William and Bill slid to the other side of the deck with a whoosh, Horn didn't catch the ship's railing in time, his feet went soft, and he rolled and crawled to the other side of the ship's railing.
This time, he could no longer hold back the nausea that had been building up for a long time. He also leaned over the side of the boat and joined the sailors' chorus.
William and Bill couldn't help but burst out laughing at the sight of him.
Others of the sailors, dizzy and disoriented, finally couldn't take it anymore, clinging tightly to the wooden railing of the ship's side, shouted at William: "William, go talk to that guy, for the sake of merciful Tira, let us rest for a while!"
William saw that someone was worse off than him, and his heart felt a lot better. He also shouted at him: "You go talk to him yourself, he's not a believer of the sea god Tira!"
"Sailors wailed for days on end: 'Don't care which god he believes in, Starry Sky God Karlba, Moon Goddess Cindy, Sun God Zeus, Sky God Raphael, Earth Goddess Gaia, anything is fine, just make him stop, I'm about to vomit all my bile!"
William burst out laughing: "Bailun Xieer, aren't you always boasting about your bravery? How come you're so quick to lose your guts?"
"Hey, you swineherd, I'll have it out with you today! Either you'll puke to death first or I will!"
William smiled slightly, just about to speak, when his stomach suddenly churned and he leaned over the side of the boat again, retching weakly. He shouted back at them with what little energy he had: "Stop fighting each other! Save some strength for crawling back into the cabin later!"
Bill's face turned green, one hand grasping Horn's collar, "Horn, great Horn, omnipotent Horn! I'm done for, hurry up and use your healing magic to save me!"
Horn's face turned pale as ash, and he smiled bitterly: "Don't joke around, where in the world is there a treatment for vomiting?! I'm not a Shaman or a Divine Priest, I don't know Bloodthirsty Technique or Angelic Halo Magic."
"Can Bloodlust and Angelic Halo cure vomiting?" Bill asked back.
Horn glared at him: "Nonsense! The Bloodlust Technique can drive a person into a frenzy, making them feel nothing, while the Angel's Halo can grant an ordinary person godly combat power. What do you say?"
Bill's eyes lit up and he muttered to himself: "No feeling, no feeling..."
As he spoke, he suddenly picked up a wooden bucket and frantically banged it against his own head.
William was shocked on one side and pulled him: "What are you doing?"
Bill cried with a sad face: "I just want to knock myself unconscious, I don't feel anything anymore, don't stop me!"
William flung the wooden bucket in his hand and shouted: "How despicable!"
Bill wailed: "Oh heavens, kill me!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the sailors on the side also shouted: "Kill me too!!"
Bill gazed at William with a face full of grief and indignation: "You actually want to deprive me of the right to beg for death?"
William reached behind him and fetched a large steel mallet used for pounding iron nails, saying seriously: "No, I just wanted to tell you that this is more suitable for hitting your head!"
Bill's expression solidified and he dryly laughed twice, saying in a hoarse voice: "Don't take it seriously, don't take it seriously, can't I just shout out whatever I want?"
……
Tang Jie grasped the ship's rudder with both hands, gazing far into the distance, his body standing upright like an iron tower in the sea breeze.
He stood with his clothes open, the corners of his garment fluttering like a flag, his chest was blown by the sea breeze, and the sunlight shone on his skin, reflecting a radiant light of strength and beauty.
Nia stood quietly not far from him, gazing at the man who was infatuated with sailing. Even she herself didn't realize that when she looked at Tang Jie holding the helm, her eyes were filled with tenderness and affection.
While both hands were inserted into his chest, Bar's face was hanging with a faint smile, sometimes staring at Tang Jie, and sometimes gazing at Nia.
It's already been four days since Barboss started teaching Tangjie navigation techniques.
This young man with black hair not only bursts out extremely strong combat power during battles, but his crazy enthusiasm and extraordinary talent in navigation also shocked Bar.
Due to Bar's sense of urgency about time, and the pursuing soldiers who might catch up at any moment, he adopted a cramming teaching method for Tang Jie from the very beginning. Without giving him any theoretical guidance, he threw him into the most important position on a ship and let him learn and accumulate experience in the waves of the sea.
The old captain was pouring out his rich navigation experience and experience of more than 30 years like a bamboo tube, he didn't care whether Tang Jie listened or not, whether he remembered or not, he just kept talking, while Tang Jie was busy operating the steering wheel on one side and listening to the old captain's golden words.
He didn't have the time and energy to thoroughly digest them, so Tang Jie could only forcefully memorize all of them in his mind. As a result, he would constantly recall every single word that Old Captain had said while eating or sleeping.
Lao Ba'er pushed open a door for Tang Jie, and this lone duckling plunged into the vast and boundless ocean, paddling happily.
He was like a madman, crazy, and his whole person had plunged into the maritime world brought by Old Bar.
This man, who had never set foot on the ocean in his previous life, was now thinking of all sorts of nautical terms such as horizontal sail, vertical sail, triangular sail, inverted cross sailor's knot, full moon knot, rising sail knot, half sail into the wind, full sail with the wind, hook chain tactics, and sea surface depth large circular battle tactics.
But he himself went mad and his soul flew away, and the other sailors on the hellish ship suffered.
Tang Jie held the helm for four consecutive days, and the Hell's Gate jumped with joy for four days.
The whole boat was shaking and trembling like a patient with dysentery, twisting and turning forward, the sailors on board were tossed about by Dong Jie until they cried out to heaven and earth, vomiting incessantly.
For old sailors like William and Bill, it's natural to be used to wind and waves, so they shouldn't have ended up in such a miserable state.
But storms at sea come and go quickly, and it is rare for a ship to be tossed about in a storm for several days.
William and Bill could be calm in a whole day's storm, but if it were four days in a row, who could stand the tossing and turning?
Even Old Captain Ball was being worn down to the point where his complexion had turned somewhat pale, and if he hadn't been secretly taking some strongly acidic pickled plums every day, he probably wouldn't have ended up any better than William Byrd.
On the Hell's Number, apart from Tang Jie, the only person who was not affected by anything was Nia.
The reason is simple.
Tang Jie put all his mind into studying and experiencing navigation technology, so he didn't feel the rocking and shaking of the boat at all.
Nia, on the other hand, had placed all her attention on this man. As soon as she was slightly idle, her gaze would involuntarily drift towards Tang Jie.
There were too many mysterious places on his body, and his every move was different from the men she had seen before. This black-haired man seemed to have descended from heaven, disrupting Nia's life, breaking through her strong outer shell, and also moving her long-strong and proud heart.
He took away the doting love of my father, he robbed me of the dreams and hopes that my father had placed in me, and he even snatched away the dignity I once had on this ship.
But why am I not angry at all?
Why does seeing him enthusiastically steer the boat make me feel sweet inside?
Why is it that when he stands on the helm, like an unshakable statue, facing the sea breeze, with his clothes fluttering in the wind, I feel my heart racing and my cheeks burning just by looking at him for a moment?
Niya kept murmuring to herself over and over again, she could feel herself getting deeper and deeper into a web called love, more and more unable to extricate herself.
Old Balkan coughed and startled Nia out of her daze.
Nia gave Bar a somewhat unnatural glance, seeing him smiling at her with an expression of being old and venerable. She didn't want to be looked at by her own father like that, so she casually said: "Captain Bar, he still needs to learn from me about aura control, let's stop here for today!"
As soon as her voice fell, the sailors on the deck who were wailing suddenly quieted down, looking up at Nia on the bridge with raised heads and eager eyes, as if they saw the angel of God Raphael descending from heaven, with tears shining in their eyes.
Ba Er laughed and said: "You ask him yourself! As long as he agrees, I have no opinion!"
Niya walked up to Tang Jie and shouted: "Tang Jie!"
No response!
"Hey, stupid!" Nia shouted loudly.
Still no response!
Nina was a bit angry, she put her hands to her mouth and made a megaphone shape: "Hey, you deaf and dumb idiot!"
Still no response!
Niya was furious, pulling Tang Jie's ear and shouting: "Hey, you stupid pig that makes people's teeth itch!!"
The voice was sharp and loud, piercing enough that even Baral couldn't help but grit his teeth.
Tang Jie turned around with a bewildered expression and responded with an "ah": "What's wrong? Which way is the thunder coming from?"
Nia's face was stunned and she couldn't say a word.
Tang Jie looked at her strangely: "Do you have something to look for me?"
Nia felt defeated, her whole body filled with a sense of powerlessness. This man had plunged headfirst into the world that Bar had brought him, and no one could pull him out.
She pressed her forehead with her hand, looking like she had a headache: "Aren't you going to take a break today? Don't you still want to learn internal energy from me?"
"Ah, yes! I had completely forgotten about this!" Tang Jie slapped his forehead.
Nia let out a sigh of relief: "Thank goodness you finally remembered this?"
Tang Jie burst out laughing: "I'm so possessed, I completely forgot about this matter!"
Niya felt a bit displeased: "Do you still want to learn or not?"
"Learning, of course I want to learn!" Tang Jie smiled and said "When do we start?"
Nia spread out her hands: "Suit yourself, I have time anytime."
Tang Jie nodded vigorously: "Alright, then today it is!"
"Hurray!" A cheer rose from the deck above, and the sailors hugged each other, crying bitterly.
Tang Jie paused for a moment, took a deep breath, and then said: "Wait until I sail for a while, I just found a little trick, let me practice it!"
"What?!"
The sailors who were just cheering on the deck collectively petrified!
He said he found a trick two days ago!!
William and Bill and others cried and hugged each other, shouting in unison: "Kill me! Please!"
Tang Jie looked at the deck and saw a scene of desolation, he was somewhat perplexed. He turned his head around and curiously asked Niya: "What's wrong with them? Did they lose something valuable?"
Nia suppressed a smile and shrugged: "Who knows?"
Early rise, refresh, hands clasped together, praying to the sea god Ti La: Lord, grant me many flowers, many harvests!
