Chapter Four

While Lottie nervously went to talk to her idol, Nova made his way to the bcksmiths stall to talk to the woman. He felt like he needed to upgrade his sword after seeing how flimsy it was during the dragon battle.

If the bde had broken he would have been really screwed. So, he knew he needed to get the sword upgraded or to buy a new weapon entirely.

The snake woman was the perfect person in his eyes to craft whatever he needed due to her skillset. The southern woman was sitting down on a wooden stool when she noticed him coming.

Her eyes sparkled and she waved a scale covered hand at him. “Hey!” She excimed and he sat down in front of her, sword ready to go.

“Well, it's dinged up and cracked on the side.” Ann said with a tone, her voice becoming snappy as she saw the condition the sword was in.

He couldn't bme her for being irritated as he had just gotten his sword fixed from another mishap the week before. Nova had been fighting a group of goblins and they chomped down on his bme. When he managed to get them off it had been turned into mincemeat.

Ann took her craft very seriously and had blown up on him that evening when she dumped the remnants into her p. Now, she just gave him the evil eye as she looked the sword up and down.

With her gloved hands delicately turning it around to see every inch of its body. He chuckled in embarrassment when a piece of dragon fell off the sword.

It was small enough for him to have not noticed initially but big enough to make him want to cry. Ann picked the dragon skin up, its scales glistening under the bright sky even in its damaged state.

“So, you syed a komodo dragon with a sword meant to kill ice wolves and snow hawks. And you're surprised that it got destroyed?” The woman asked with her thick, annoyed accent as she stared at him.

Nova rubbed the back of his head and chuckled. “Yeah…when you say it like that I sound like a dumbass.” He felt pretty stupid now.

Thankfully, the serpentine woman wasn't interested in humiliating him as she shrugged and put the sword back down. “I can fix it.”

“Great.” He gestured to her weapon rack. “How much exactly?”

She looked back at the rack which contained a beautiful dispy of samurai swords, katanas, cymores and more to purchase.

All expertly crafted by her magical hands. He wondered how many hours it took for her to make them and how many more for her to fix them.

It must not be too much as she jumped at the challenge with an offer. Looking back, Ann said with a big grin. “I'll do it for 2000 coins.”

“That's better than the 4000 coins you charged me the st time.” He said feeling nothing but relief at the fact he wouldn't be going broke.

Ann ughed and just took the sword. Nova looked around before paying to see if Lottie was done talking to Ava and found she still was.

The dual-toned woman was glowing as she bounced on her feet and chatted eagerly with her hero. He felt happy seeing her like that.

[PLAYER ANN ◇ REQUESTED 2000 COINS]

[FUN FACT – Pyers can request coins for things such as trade and gifts. If you are gifting someone coins, please keep in mind you can use the ◇ GIFT ◇ option instead of the ◇ REQUEST ◇ option. Tap on your pyer menu and hit the ◇ GIFT ◇ option to ask someone on your friend's list for anything from money to food.]

“Sorry, I got distracted.” Nova muttered as the notification popped up in front of his face and momentarily blocked his view of the world.

[PLAYER NOVA ◇ PAID 2000 COINS TO PLAYER ANN]

The snake woman smiled and patted him on the shoulder. “It's alright. I'll message you in a day or two when the sword should be done.”

She then got a serious look on her face as she added. “When the sword is done you can't just run at enemies and stab them. That's why it broke in the first pce and you can't keep putting bandages on it.”

Nova gulped at her intensity and nodded. He knew that she was right as everytime he got his sword fixed he went right back into battle. It was just all he did in-game, especially with Lottie's bloodlust. Nova needed to take a break for his sword's sake and his poor pockets.

“I'll keep that in mind.” The brunette got up and dusted snow from the stool off of his pants. It was starting to pick up. “Thanks again, Ann.”

“It's no problem! Be safe out there, we're supposed to be having a blizzard for the rest of the week. It's going to be a mess.” Ann told him as she hurried to zip up the snowfox coat she was wearing.

This made her breasts jump a little and like the post puberty teenager he was, he turned pink at the sight. He mentally spped himself as he knew that Ann's boyfriend would snap him into two with ease. Plus, this was just the snake woman's gimmick with her curvy, tall avatar.

He could still remember the first time he met her. Anna had been wearing the stereotypical armor of a female character where it looked more like a bikini than clothes.

She rolled her eyes at his agape mouth and expined it was all part of the rolepy for her. That's how she had fun in-game as did thousands of others who pyed a story out.

Nova had never attempted to make a storyline out of his time in Snowdrop Queen as he felt he couldn't dedicate himself fully to it. Role-pying in a huge mmo sounded and looked taxing from the outside.

With hundreds having to keep themselves up to date to what was happening and who was important to the plot being created. It would be fun to try but he just didn't have it in him.

Lottie had done it in the past but in an entirely different virtual reality game and she told him it was like having a job. Rolepyers like Ann had earned his respect and admiration years ago so he rushed to come back to reality.

This was just in time for him to notice someone jogging over to the pair. He saw that it was another pyer he was friends with, a girl named Chaya who he actually knew in the real world.

Well, not exactly as they just went to the same summer camp the year prior. It was pure coincidence that they happened to both py the same game.

Chaya was a short stack with a personality sweet as pie who would never hurt a fly. She was very soft spoken to, with her voice often resembling a whisper when she spoke to someone.

Along with this she dressed to impress wearing an ensemble that gave off princess, comfy vibes. In the real world she dressed the same girly way.

With her pawed hand, Chaya ran over and gushed as she practically tackled the brunette. He grunted and tried to grab onto the table but failed and fell to the ground.

A gasp left the older woman's mouth as Ann looked down and saw the two teenagers on the ground. Anyone who had been walking by gawked at the dispy and Nova blushed.

His friend gulped and looked down at him with embarrassment. Her face turned into a comically drawn teary eyed look as she helped him up. “Oh goodness! Sorry, Nova! I just haven't seen you in so long!”
