Scheming Through the Heavens 046 Only Cultivating Myself
"Yu Fei, d-do you know what you're saying?" Emperor Qing forced out the words, one by one.
Yu Fei's mad laughter, her voice mournful and indignant: "I say, it was Yuan You Sheng, it was Yuan You Sheng, he is the mastermind behind all this. If not for him, how would my mother and I have ended up in this situation today? Meng Er wasn't killed by Xia Er, she was murdered by Yuan You Sheng. But to hide this secret, my mother and I endured so much, only to end up like this in the end. Your subject is not convinced. Since heaven doesn't see justice, then your subject implores Your Majesty to give us a fair judgment."
Qingdi stared at Yufei's eyes flashing with murderous intent.
Yu Fei stared straight at his anger and killing intent, not dodging or evading. Even if she couldn't escape her fate, the road to the underworld was too desolate, she would drag a few people down with her as backing. Liu Shi loved this man to the bone, so she couldn't hate him to the bone. Dying at his hands, she would also be willing.
But she is not Liu, and she had also fallen in love with this man before. However, when she discovered that her own love was worthless and would eventually end up like Liu's, she vowed that she would never become the second Liu, even if it meant dying a miserable death. If she couldn't overcome her fate, then even if she went to hell after death, she would make sure everyone else accompanied her in burial. Yuan Haotian is ruthless, and she wants to see just how ruthless he can be - will he ruthlessly slaughter the entire harem?
Shi Ze looked at Yu Fei, and the scene from five years ago flashed through his mind again. The Empress Dowager had also smiled with sorrow and desolation, but she hadn't been crazy or resentful. Yet, at this moment, the sadness and madness in Yu Fei's eyes were so obvious.
"Your Majesty, as the ruler, husband and father, in terms of national law, family law, emotional and rational considerations, this request is not excessive. I beg Your Majesty to grant this case to be publicly tried and judged by Gu Ling and three other investigating officials. This is my only wish for this lifetime!"
Qing Di narrowed his eyes, looking at the woman in front of him. Suddenly, another tear-stained face appeared in his mind. She too had knelt before him like this, smiled sorrowfully like this, and cried tears like rain, but she wasn't begging him, instead saying: If there's reincarnation or a next life, then I wish to never see you again for all eternity!
Qingdi stepped back, Shi Ji was shocked and quickly supported him.
The Emperor pushed away Shizhi's hand and resolutely turned around to get on the dragon carriage. Behind the golden curtain, no one saw his expression at this time, but only heard a voice without ups and downs passing through the curtain: "Tomorrow at 9 o'clock, in the Dalitong Temple, Gu Ling will preside over the trial of this case, with the cooperation of the three departments of Jinwei, Ducha and Xingbu."
"We obey your orders! Long live our Emperor, may he reign for ten thousand years, ten thousand years, and ten thousand more!" The few people who were called out shouted in unison.
Yu Fei's body went limp and she fainted.
"Empress Dowager..." The Second Prince cried out in pain.
At this moment, Yuan Wuyou was strolling leisurely, her steps delicate and elegant. Without the red brocade cloak, a white brocade garment shone with dazzling silver light under the sun's refraction, as if bathed in holy radiance. Yet, her eyes, her smile, stood tall and proud like a lotus, high above, yet distant and detached like clouds.
Yu Zhu Yu Cui quietly followed her, shocking and moving. Since the great change five years ago, no matter how bitter or difficult it was, the princess had been light as a cloud and smiled like the wind, as if everything was in her eyes.
Her smile, her eyes, her warmth, even her coldness, all seem to make people willing to do anything for her, just to get her to gaze at them with a smile, and be willing to die for it.
Many things happened this winter, they knew, and many more that hadn't happened or were still happening, they seemed to know yet didn't seem to need to know.
To them, none of these seem important, what's important is that these are what the princess wants to do, and that's it.
Yu Wu Dan gazed up at the bright sky, gently stretching out her palm to place it under the sun. Her hand, which was originally a pale color close to the color of her clothes, appeared to be a deep red under the radiant sunlight.
Stir up trouble? Kill people and invite disaster? No, she didn't think that was stirring up trouble, she just did what she should do.
When you meet a Buddha, kill the Buddha; when you meet a patriarch, kill the patriarch; when you meet your father and mother, kill your father and mother; when you meet your relatives, kill your relatives. This is the principle of the great Dharma of Buddhist Zen. Of course, the original intention of Buddhism is to require practitioners not to be bound by external objects, but to attain liberation and release, and achieve the Great Way, rather than killing people or creating karma.
In her view, what she wants to do, is doing and will do in the future is also on the path of pursuing liberation and release.
Delusional thoughts are delusions, clinging to them is attachment. Letting go of attachments and delusions, in fact, isn't letting go of attachments and delusions also a kind of attachment and delusion?
So, the Western Paradise will forever be just a legend!
She once saw a fable of Yunmen Wenyan Chan Master in a book and thought it was very insightful after reading it.
As soon as Buddha was born, he pointed one hand at the sky and the other at the ground, took seven steps around, and loudly declared: "In heaven and on earth, I alone am the honored one!"
A Buddhist monk asked Master Wenyuan, "What does this mean?" Master Yunmen replied, "Unfortunately I wasn't present at the time. If I had been there, I would have beaten him to death with a stick and fed him to the dogs, just to bring peace to the world."
The monk who practiced Buddhism listened to this and was deeply perplexed, extremely puzzled, and asked another Zen master: How could Yunmen Zen Master say such a rebellious and disrespectful thing? Isn't he afraid of being guilty?
The Zen master replied: No, the merits of Yunmen's words are boundless; how could he have committed a fault? However, when I heard him say this at the time, I would have hit him with my stick and fed him to the dogs.
It seems like falling into the fog, but it's all about conveying a belief: Don't ask yourself to seek anything outside? Don't ask if you are right or wrong? Seeking Buddha, one loses the Buddha; seeking Tao, one loses the Tao; seeking ancestors, one loses the ancestors.
If you want to achieve the Great Way, don't be misled by anyone, inside or out. Believe in yourself, and when you meet a Buddha, kill the Buddha; when you meet a patriarch, kill the patriarch; when you meet your father, kill your father. Only then can you attain freedom and self-realization of the Great Way.
She doesn't cultivate Buddhism, nor does she cultivate Taoism; she only cultivates herself. Whatever she wants or seeks, she only asks herself.
In this life and the next, my heart remains unchanged!
Jiangmei Palace
Mei Fei destroyed everything in her line of sight. When the First Prince Yuan You Sheng and the Fifth Prince Yuan Jie Sheng rushed in anxiously, this was what they saw.
"Empress Dowager..."
Mei Fei saw the Crown Prince and rushed forward like a madwoman, tightly grasping his arms: "Yu'er, tell Mother, was it Yu Fei and her son who were spitting blood at people? Was it? Was it...?"
Looking at the Empress who seemed to have lost her mind and was on the verge of a crazy collapse, the Fifth Prince also looked at the Eldest Prince with some fear: "Eldest Brother..."
The eldest prince's eyebrows never relaxed, he supported Concubine Mei to walk towards the bed, put her on the bed, stared at Concubine Mei, and said word by word: "Mother Concubine, I don't know why Princess Yu and the second prince are in the water with the child, but please believe me, Mother Concubine. I am being wronged. Princess Yu used such a despicable thing to frame me, aren't they afraid of the gods above?" Perhaps this is the sorrow of being in an imperial family? In an imperial family, there is no father-son relationship, no brotherly love, and all kinds of evil spirits exist.
Mei Fei's whole body was as soft as if she had been drained of all her energy: "Spitting blood at people, that cheap Yu Fei, even on the verge of death, she still wanted to drag someone down with her. Hmph, she thought she could drag my son and me down, but I'll make sure to watch her die."
The fifth prince listened to the conversation between the two, his anxious heart slowly relaxed a bit, but the next moment he asked tensely: "Mother, what do we do now?"
The crown prince frowned: "The child is absolutely innocent, but if you want to add crime to him, how can you not find words? Even if the Jade Consort and her son cannot produce evidence to prove it, I'm afraid the child will also be difficult to escape blame."
Mei Fei's fists were clenched tightly, her whole body trembling with rage. She had never hated anyone like this in her life. She couldn't believe that Yu Fei was so vicious and cruel. If Yu Fei hadn't been confined, Mei Fei would have gone to tear her apart alive.
Digression
I finally caught up with the second update. This kind of passion and fervor shocked even myself, every character in this book seems to be floating before my eyes.
