Chapter Seventy-four Motorcycle
Chapter Seventy-Four
Can you ride a bike?
Lindon's running body suddenly stopped and turned back to Claire, who was breathing rapidly.
"Huff... Ah... Huh."
Claire arched her back, propped her hands on her knees, adjusted her breathing, and vigilantly scanned the surroundings.
"Ha, then we don't have to work so hard anymore."
Lin Xuan was also slightly panting, having sprinted for nearly ten minutes at a speed of over 8-9 meters per second. Even with his strength at 15 points, he felt somewhat exhausted. What's more, Claire was just an ordinary person.
Ten minutes of running, Lin Chen not only failed to get closer to Alice, but the distance between them was pulled further apart, almost out of Lin Chen's reaction range!
Obviously, Alice is moving at high speed and is heading in the opposite direction from Lin Chen.
"What?"
Claire straightened up and looked in the direction Lin Chen was pointing, the outline of a motorcycle was faintly visible in the darkness, the small flames on the hood of the nearby car were not enough to illuminate the surroundings.
"Why don't we find a car? The motorcycle has no key and can't be started."
Claire's blonde hair was tied up in a ponytail, with a few strands falling down to form a slanted fringe on her forehead, looking neat and refreshing, making people feel comfortable.
Her image is almost identical to that of Claire in Resident Evil: Degeneration, and if there's no accident, she should be the leader of the survivors in Biohazard 3, one of the secondary main characters in the series!
"There are some places where cars can't get through. And... who says there's no key."
Lindon said, pushing the heavy motorcycle out of the darkness, with the help of a car that had exploded and caught fire, Claire saw the keys left on the motorcycle, a pair of beautiful eyes flashing with heterochromia.
"How did you find out? I almost didn't even notice this car!"
Claire looked at Lin Chen in surprise, who was smiling but didn't say a word, and suddenly remembered what he had said before.
"Does this guy really have night vision?"
Claire checked the gas tank and exclaimed excitedly: "The gas tank is full, enough for us to ride it around the city twice!"
"This is Harley!"
"Boom! Boom boom boom boom!"
Claire revved the throttle, and the brand-new motorcycle beneath her let out a heavy metallic roar that was no different from a thunderclap in the silent black night. Immediately, several dark shadows emerged from the darkness, stumbling towards the two of them with the zombies' characteristic screeching wails that sounded like the heavy gasps of humans struggling to survive!
"Whoosh!"
Claire turned on the car lights, and a bright beam of light suddenly shot out, illuminating the road ahead clearly, while also attracting more zombies, making their wails even more frantic!
"Lin Chen, hold on tight! Bitches, follow behind and eat dust!"
Claire's voice was tinged with a hint of emotion, and after Lin Chen tightly wrapped his arms around her soft waist, the large wheels began to rotate at high speed!
"Squeak! Squeak! Squeak!"
With a screeching sound of friction, the rubber on the wheels kept rubbing against the road surface, leaving behind a dark charred mark!
The heavy motorcycle's thick wheels emitted a faint mist, and with a sudden burst of force, the massive body surged forward!
The massive inertia directly acted on the two people in the car, pulling them violently backwards. If Lin Xuan hadn't hugged Claire tightly before, she would have been thrown out of the car by now!
"Rumble!"
Feeling the tremendous noise coming from the exhaust pipe, the strong wind blowing in her face disheveled her hair and eyes, Claire's depression was swept away, even her fatigue was alleviated a lot, she couldn't help but whistle loudly, provoking the wandering zombies on both sides of the road!
"Left!"
Lindon's voice cut through the howling wind and sounded directly in Claire's ear.
Claire suddenly turned the steering wheel, and the direction of the motorcycle changed instantly. The body of the motorcycle was heavily thrown to one side under the inertia brought by its previous high speed!
"Crack!"
The crisp sound of skeletal fractures was clearly mixed with the roar of the motorcycle, a zombie was swept by the rear wheel at the waist, and its body was suddenly knocked into the air, fiercely smashing against a wall, and then falling down, the upper and lower halves of the corpse almost folded together!
Even with a completely broken spine, this zombie did not die. It was almost gnawed to the bone, its terrifying face of white and black was ten times more frightening than an evil spirit. It let out a scream in the direction that Lin Chen and the others had left!
The street ahead was chaotic at the beginning of the biochemical crisis, with drivers turning into zombies and causing a chain reaction of car accidents, resulting in the intersection being completely blocked by disorderly parked cars!
"Hold on!"
Claire excitedly whistled and, regardless of Lin Chen's reaction, directly turned the throttle to the bottom, her body leaning back like a motorcycle stunt performer, causing the entire motorcycle to only have its rear wheel on the ground!
The front wheel rose high up in the air like the head of a ferocious beast, and when it approached a car, it came crashing down!
"Whoosh!"
Under the powerful thrust of the rear wheel, the entire motorcycle almost instantly rushed towards the car roof, and the heavy body crushed the windshield and roof of the car!
In the midst of screeching metal and shattering glass, Claire let out an excited laugh as the wheels spun, crushing into a police car smeared with dark red bloodstains...
As for Jill and Chris, after escaping from the mansion, they followed the original storyline to that church.
Inside the church was empty and deserted, without a single zombie. There were only a few metal candle holders on which several light candles flickered.
……
As he inched through the gridlocked traffic, Linder's stomach was doing flips, a stark contrast to Claire's excitement.
Alice has stopped moving in response to Lin Chen's presence and is now at a distance, seemingly having sensed his existence as well.
"Get off the bus."
"What?"
Claire slowed down the motorcycle slightly while in an excited state, but didn't stop immediately.
It's not easy to find such a top-notch vehicle, and she can't bear to let it go easily.
"The motorcycle is too loud and will attract those things, the zombies. What we need to do next requires us to be on foot and not get surrounded by them."
Lin Chen's voice was still calm, but with a hint of urgency.
"Alright, this is indeed a good idea."
Kai turned his head and glanced at Lin Chen, his light golden ponytail swung up, the soft hair strands brushed against Lin Chen's face, bringing a tingling sensation, as if there was also a faint fragrance.
"I think we need some weapons."
After parking, Claire looked at the gradually approaching zombies with a serious expression.
"The zombies move slowly, we'll shake them off later."
Lin Chen's gaze pierced through the layers of darkness and landed on a gigantic neon sign that had completely gone out.
Although Lin Chen did not recognize the English name of the store, from the logo on the signboard, it could be seen that this was a gun shop belonging to the Protective Umbrella Corporation.
"Come with me."
Lin dust pulled Claire and rushed towards the place where the zombies were sparse.
Claire followed closely behind, her eyes vigilantly scanning the surroundings, her body slightly hunched, ready to unleash her full strength at any moment to respond to sudden situations!
Zombies are nothing to talk about. Without the advantages of numbers and infection, they're basically harmless.
Under Lin Xun's lead, Claire quickly escaped the zombies' sensing range. After a futile scream and chase, they returned to their wandering state.
"Damn it, the door is actually locked!"
Claire nearly let out another whistle in excitement when she found there was also a gun shop here, which would have attracted the zombies.
However, when she found that the gate was actually locked, she couldn't help but curse under her breath, saying that there were still zombies lurking nearby, and they had probably started kicking the door.
"That's not the problem."
Claire didn't see Lin Chen make any movement, but the tightly locked gate in front of him let out a soft creak as it slowly swung open, revealing rows of guns inside that sparkled with cold metallic luster.
(I'll rush home and update as soon as possible, such a professional attitude, isn't it worth voting for and collecting? Alas......)
