FOREWARD: Cyberpunk 2077: SECOND_CHANCE
This short novel takes place briefly before and long after the final events of Cyberpunk 2077. It is designed to incorporate lore from Cyberpunk Red, the video game Cyberpunk 2077, and other source material within Mike Pondsmith’s phenomenal Cyberpunk universe. If you’re a player and admirer of V, this story is not about him directly, but about the aftermath of his decision to take on Arasaka. It takes place over a 6 month period starting on Sunday, June 6th, 2077, and finishes around New Year’s Day.
Thanks to the R. Talsorian Games and Cyberpunk Wiki communities for help with lore and tech explanations. I now know the difference between a neuroport and a neural link.

- A Cyberpunk 2077 storyline based on the aftermath of the three endings in which V storms Arasaka Tower.
- Original and returning characters from the game and from Cyberpunk Red lore.
- Insane fan theories that are in no way canon or based on confirmed Cyberpunk lore. They are treated as insane theories in the story itself.
- 2.0 and 3.0 versions of chapters based on reader suggestions and corrections.
- Current estimate of finished length: ~90,000-100,000 words.
- 2 chapters per week or more.
- Character progression from zero anti-hero to something more.
- An appearance by V. V is yours. Whether he’s riding across the desert, somewhere beyond the Blackwall, or enjoying his stardom in the Major Leagues, that’s up to you.
- Pornographic sex or violence will not be depicted, only implied. That means no sex scenes and no explicit descriptions of torture, rape, and/or murder. Heads burst, gore is mentioned, but I won’t be reveling in it.
- Saying again. This story will feature NO SEXUALLY-EXPLICIT SCENES.
- I do NOT accept donations, tips, or payment for this work, but I will take compliments, criticisms, and high-fives.
