CHAPTER 3
The King of the Wall advances and, making a vertical cut at Cobel, who dodges, kicks him in the face. He falls into the lake, immediately gets up, and charges at Cobel again. Cobel looks to the side where his daughter was coming to call him for a meal, and when she sees him, he says:
“Get out of here, Eli! Tell your mother and the others in the village to leave this place.”
As he finishes speaking, he turns, but is stopped by a kick to the face, delivered by the King of the Wall.
Thus, she leaves frightened while her father fights against a strange and unknown giant.
The King of the Wall wastes no time and cuts his opponent’s chest. As he falls to the ground, the King of Giants lets out a slight smile of satisfaction.
“Look at that, it seems the new generation has arrived. Looks like I can't go so easy on you anymore,” says Cobel, the King of Giants.
The King of the Wall runs. Cobel, still on the ground, picks up a stone and throws it at his adversary’s face. Upon being hit by the stone, the King of the Wall is distracted, but quickly returns his attention to the fight.
With the distraction, an opening is created. Cobel quickly runs to the King of the Wall’s back.
“You know, I could kill you now.”
"Wait, when did he get behind me and what is that voice?"
Before he even finishes that thought, he receives a punch to the face that makes his nose bleed. He flies towards the forest. The King of Giants wastes no time, and before he can even collide with a tree, Cobel kicks the King of the Wall’s back.
He feels an immense pain, he had never felt this kind of pain before. He flies back towards the lake. As he approaches the ground, he uses his sword to stop. When he stops, the King of Giants appears, swinging his sword close to his face. The King of the Wall blocks Cobel’s attack with his sword.
Cobel delivers a quick kick, but the giant in front of him catches the kick. He pulls Cobel’s leg close to him, making him fall onto a stone-covered ground. When he sees Cobel on the ground, he grabs his sword and tries to pierce the King of Giants’ stomach. The King places his hand on his stomach. The King of the Wall embeds his sword into the King of Giants' hand, yet the King of the Wall tries to push past the hand to pierce the stomach.
Cobel feels the sword piercing further and further. He sees a gap and kicks the King of the Wall’s chin, who loses strength and falls to the ground.
Cobel stands up and pulls the bone sword out of his adversary. He looks at him with pity, lying on the ground, trying to move or stand up.
Even having the opportunity to kill the King of the Wall, he starts beating him until he loses consciousness. He grabs the King of the Wall’s worn and torn shirt and starts punching him. While beating him, the King of the Wall remembers his past fights, the giants he killed without pity or mercy, humiliatingly killing the Prince of the Wall and even doing the same thing his enemy is doing now to him: beating the former King of the Wall.
In Cobel’s view, the King of the Wall’s face begins to disfigure, his nose bleeds heavily, his eye swells, and his lips are cut. When he goes to deliver another punch, his hand is stopped, held by the wrist with a force that even he is impressed by, as he was recovering his strength at that moment.
Cobel immediately lets go of the shirt and the King of the Wall releases his wrist. He moves away. While the King of the Wall stands up, Cobel picks up his sword that he had dropped for the beating.
The King of the Wall stands tall and walks towards his sword. Upon grabbing it, he suddenly vanishes and appears behind Cobel, who defends the attack with difficulty, and a sequence of sword strikes begins. The two move away, run, and strike their swords, which makes the forest shake and the ground crack.
The King of the Wall puts all his force into this sword blow, which causes it to break. Cobel makes a vertical cut. The King of the Wall jumps, delivering a kick that hits Cobel. Then, without losing time, he punches the King of Giants’ stomach, who feels both blows and becomes dizzy. But the King of the Wall doesn't stop, delivering a punch to his nose, which makes him put his hand up to stop the bleeding. The King of the Wall then pulls the King of Giants’ hair.
“I guess I can’t call myself the King of the Wall anymore. It’s more appropriate, King Killer,” he says with wide eyes.
This frightens the King of Giants, who soon receives a knee to his chest. This irritates him even more.
"I’ve never suffered such a humiliation! This bastard will see what I can do with a fraction of my power."
Thus, he stands up, releases his sword, and runs towards his no-longer adversary, but now enemy. He easily dodges an attack from the King of the Wall and punches his chin again, making him lose strength once more. But this time, he sends him flying until he passes the surrounding trees. He jumps and surpasses the height his enemy was at, kicking the back of his head with a third of his real strength. He collides with the ground with this force, which makes a crater in the ground.
Upon landing on the ground, he looks at his enemy lying down with a pool of blood forming and spitting blood. Then, he turns and walks towards the village. He was feeling a little dizzy.
"I underestimated him too much. I should have gone to fight with that one-third of my power. Ah, damn it, it hurts a lot."
While Cobel is thinking, he feels something on his back. He quickly turns and sees nothing. Even so, he decides to stay alert. He walks a little further. When he feels something approaching, he turns with his arms crossed and immediately receives a punch to those arms. It was the King of the Wall, but he was at his limit; blood was running down his head, his arms were bloody, cuts that were small were now larger, and his body was trembling.
In his vision, he only saw Cobel, nothing else. Just Cobel. He gritted his teeth in hatred, a hatred that could only disappear with death.
The two look at each other and realize that this is the end of the fight. Then, they run toward each other and deliver punches. The punches collide, a strong wind arises, dragging the surrounding trees and raising dust. The ground begins to sink, the wounds on the King of the Wall’s arm start to open even more, and the muscles tear. An immeasurable pain arises. The King of Giants gets even dizzier. The two move away and stare at each other.

The King of the Wall feels his legs are about to collapse and that he will only last for a few minutes or one more charge. The King of Giants is about to collapse from dizziness, yet he decides to continue fighting. After all, there is no escape from the fight.
The two advance again with everything they have, delivering punches that hit their faces. The King delivers a sweep. Cobel dodges. Then, he tries to step on the King of the Wall’s shin, who pulls it away in time and, even on the ground, delivers a kick that the other catches the leg and pulls it, delivering an elbow to the leg. He groans in pain, yet he stands up. Cobel can no longer take it, sees his enemy advancing, and all he can do is defend until exhaustion. Thus, he raises his arms to defend. The King of the Wall runs and delivers one of his last punches with force, fracturing Cobel’s arm. His arms drop from the great pain he feels, and he kneels. The King of the Wall delivers his last punch with all his strength to the King of Giants’ face. Upon delivering this last blow, a strong wind is created in the direction of the strike.
He falls to the ground, exhausted. Cobel is left with a fractured skull on the ground and slowly tries to regain consciousness.
While all this was happening, Jay cried for an hour, and the mysterious voice consoled him along with his father, who would now hunt the giant who destroyed the wall to avenge his wife. After a while, Poul asks a nearby person where they were going.
“Where are we going?” The man raises his eyebrow.
“Well, everyone on the ship is heading towards the Forest City, which is near a tribe of giants that have been nicknamed ‘the forest giants.’ Well, that's all the information I have. Goodbye.”
Thus, Poul decides to look for more information.
Jay decides to wait for his father. He waits and waits, soon becomes impatient, and goes to look for him. After crying so much and feeling guilty, this is a great way to distract himself. He searches and searches. He doesn’t find his father, but finds a girl with purple hair who was crying. He approaches her.
“What's wrong? Why are you crying?” Jay asks with pity.
The girl stops crying and looks at Jay.
“I… I got lost from my mother.”
“Seriously?” She shakes her head. “Then let’s go look for her.”
“Okay,” she says with little enthusiasm.
So they go searching.
The King of Giants is still conscious, trying to survive, even if it didn't help much. He already knew he was going to die. The King of the Wall wakes up and stands up. Even after sleeping for an hour, he is still tired. He goes towards the King of Giants to finish him off. As he approaches, he starts to laugh. The King of the Wall doesn't understand.
“I… I was like you, boy. I only thought about fighting, killing, destroying, and becoming the strongest. But as soon as I became the King of Giants, an emptiness came, taking my soul and consuming it. Everything that was colorful lost its color, the world became… gray.”
He starts coughing up blood. As soon as the cough stops, he speaks again, even with his voice growing weak.
“This lasted for years. I traveled the entire world looking for fights, and on this journey, I killed and destroyed villages, cities, and capitals. And… and in the end, I became one of the greatest threats to life. I continued wandering the world until I met her, the love of my life, Clara. She brightened my world that was getting grayer and grayer; it was she who pulled me out of the darkness. I hope you have the same destiny as mine; even if you suffer internally, in the end, you will have a happy ending.”
A silence echoes, only with the heavy breathing. The words Cobel says make no sense to the King of the Wall, who just looks at him. He grabs the King of Giants’ shirt collar and prepares to finish him off.
“Now you are no longer the King of the Wall or the King of Giants, but now you are the Nameless King.”
The King of the Wall raises his eyebrow.
“Yeah… I even forgot… you don’t know what a… name means.” He starts laughing.
The King of the Wall extends his arm, with a gloomy look, and finishes him off. Releasing Cobel's body, he looks at the horizon and, for the first time, notices how beautiful the world he lived in could be. His heart relaxes; he becomes calm. With his hands dirty with blood, cuts on his arm, and blood running down his head, he begins to walk into the forest with calm and peace. As he enters the forest, Clara appears with her daughter looking for Cobel. Her daughter finds her father’s body.
“D-Dad?!”
Seeing her father’s body on the ground, covered in blood, she can't believe that the person on the ground is her father; she can’t.
Clara, upon approaching and seeing her husband’s body, breaks down and starts crying. Her daughter can’t contain herself and cries for her loss.
The former King of the Wall was walking through the forest, blood running down his body. Even exhausted, he continues walking. His body is exhausted, but his mind is at peace and light.
After a long time, he finds his father with a man with black hair and blue eyes. The two seem like long-time friends, talking with impressive naturalness.
"Not even with my most intimate friends that I had in my past life did I reach this level. That's absurd!"
Jay thinks about how incredibly unlucky he is not to have had such a friendship.
Upon seeing the girl's father, the girl immediately runs to him and hugs him, crying. Startled by what happened, he hugs her back.
“What’s wrong, daughter? What happened? Weren’t you with your mother?” he asks, startled by the possibility that something might have happened to his wife.
“I ended up getting separated from mommy.”
“Then let’s go look for her,” he says with a smile on his face to calm his daughter.
“Yes, let’s go.”
Looking at her father, the girl soon remembers the boy who helped her find him, so she turns and looks at him.
“Thank you for helping me find my dad.”
Jay accepts the girl’s thanks, even with disappointment that he didn't find her mother, but the girl's father.
Her father soon approaches.
“You did well in helping that girl. I’m proud of you, my son. Congratulations,” Poul says this, even though hours ago he was seeking revenge. Perhaps the fire of revenge has cooled a bit, especially after having talked to that man.
“Dad,” Jay calls his father’s attention.
“Yes, Jay?”
“Are there academies in real life?” Jay asks, unsure how to ask.
Poul puts his hand on his son’s head.
“Yes, there are.”
Upon hearing this answer, he immediately becomes excited.
“But it’s not how you imagine. The academies that exist are, in fact, factories to create soldiers, in search of the perfect soldier.” Poul looks at the sky. “All men go to the academy. Of course, I went there when I was little.”
"So, either way, I would go to the academy. Interesting, so that’s how I’ll discover my real potential."
Jay thinks, excited to go to the academy.
“And at what age can you enter the academy?”
“Well, at about 10 years old, you can enter the academy.”
Upon hearing his father say, “At about 10 years old, you can enter the academy,” Jay becomes a little discouraged.
Later, days pass until they reach their destination. They are soon placed in a refugee area. Jay goes out to the park and leans against a tree, reading his book. While he reads, his father, who had enlisted to serve in the army, is training his physique.
The children look at Jay with a look that he is strange. A girl who was playing with the children goes up to him. She approaches Jay and calls his attention. He lifts his head and sees the purple hair and immediately recognizes her.
“It’s you, the lost girl,” Jay says, surprised.
She smiles.
“What is it? Don’t tell me you got lost again?!” Jay says with a tone of concern that she would interrupt his reading.
“No. Do you really think I would get lost twice?!”
“I don’t doubt it.”
She makes a face.
“Idiot.” She approaches him and squats down to see what he was reading. “What are you reading, idiot?”
"Idiot? Does this girl want to die? Calling me an idiot. Ah, but if I wasn’t known, I would hit her."
Jay makes a face while thinking.
The girl starts laughing. He stares at her and flicks her on the head.
"There, now she’ll run to call her parents and I’ll get scolded."
Jay thinks with a look of regret, but not caring much about the situation.
“Why did you do that to my beautiful forehead? You idiot!” She says this with a look of crying.
"As expected, now she’s running to her daddy. Most girls are like that; I might be in another world, but it will be the same as always."
Jay thinks, convinced that it would be so.
But what he doesn't expect is that, instead of running to her father, as expected, she pushes Jay and starts hitting him.
Jay is incredulous; after all, that girl, even small, has more strength than he had in his past life. Even while being beaten, he raises his hand and flicks the girl on the head, who puts her hand on her forehead.
Jay puts down his book and puts the girl on the ground.
They start arguing. Meanwhile, Poul trains intensely. He is in a room when someone calls him. Poul goes towards the call. Upon leaving the tent, he is handed a letter.
“Thank you for the letter.”
The mailman just nods.
Poul opens the letter and sees that it’s from the army. The letter says that he is now a member of the army. He is happy, but at the same time, a strange feeling arises. He cannot distinguish what that feeling was. A tear rolls down his face.
