Hello!!!

  First off, I want to say thank you so much for reading and know that OW will still be updated regularly. The stubbing of Book 1 - A Shadowed Awakening will not affect Book 2 or 3 which will still be available. Book 3.5 is the current book we’re on here and book 4 is being posted on Patreon.

  That being said, I want to say I’m proud of the community we’ve built following Nora over the past four (4!!!) years.

  And to some, it may seem like that’s too long, but the first edition of OW that was 18 chapters and covered everything we went through in books 1, 2, AND 3 was posted in 2021. Can you believe it? The original draft (posted here on Royal road) was only 150 pages? And now it’s over 1100 pages!!!

  The second edition, the one posted now is only two years old (though it turns three shortly into the new year), and I’ve worked so hard to make it something worth sharing, that I both love to write and people love to read. And I feel like the 3400 people who follow Nora’s story truly enjoy seeing her growth.

  I never expected my little sad girl to have such a beautiful community around her, especially because when I started writing her I was in a dark place. Nora was my way of proving that even slow as her recovery was, it was small steps that would make me better. And over time that proved true. Nora gave me hope, even if I was the one who created her. She was my lifeline for a very long time. Still is in a way. I love her dearly.

  And I want to share her journey with even more people.

  Thus, come January 1st, 2026, I will be officially stubbing Book 1 A Shadowed Awakening and changing the name here on Royal Road to Otherworldly - A Dark Journey. I hope anyone with Kindle Unlimited is willing to re-read her tale in the new year and drop a rating/review. It would mean so much to see it be successful.

  Just by changing the title to announce the stub, I’ve lost over 20 followers. Which is fine, not everyone has to agree with my choice. But I hope that you all, my community, will support me and help me make my dreams come true —so I can continue letting you dream in my world.
