As the duo moves through the airport, they see in the distance where the soldiers are . It looks like the 20 soldiers that have been defending the pce, plus the pilot, are cornered inside one of the hangars, as a horde of Gnolls and a squad of Iron Hollow armors approach. Goji and Hoy have no need for words as they get into action . Joy stops several meters above the ground, and with practiced ease in her mind, she opens her book. In the real world , a great quantity of spells appear and are thrown at the horde of Gnolls and the battalion of armors. The spells are effective against the Gnolls; as like st time, they are hit by rays of frost, fireballs , pressurized water, and spheres of venom that kill a significant number of Gnolls, forcing the rest to retreat. However , when the spells are about to hit the armors, the two at the back take out tower shields and protect the battalion with them . The spells hit the shields directly, resulting in a series of explosions powerful enough to take down a tank . But after the dust clears, the shields remain intact, without a scratch on their surface-except for a slight crack in a yer a few centimeters deep . Goji notices it - a tiny break that she couldn't feel the day before. But with this new technique , she can see it, she can feel it , and more importantly, she can hit it. With her hand wrapped in a thin yer of mana , not perfect but enough, she breaks apart the cracked yer , and her punch hits the shield directly. The iron bends in response, and she takes it with her other hand, sending it directly to the armor behind.
After the impact , Goji doesn't stop her attack . After sending the armor flying with its shield, she rampages through the battalion of armors. Shields fly around as her body receives sshes from swords . Her fists look like they are covered in fmes as she breaks apart the armors until, at the far end, just meters from where the soldiers are cornered, she feels her abdomen hit with a heavy impact . Before she can react, she is sent flying meters back into the husks of the armors she has killed. When she gets back up and brushes off the dust that clings to her , she finally looks at the thing that hit her . In the pce she was standing moments before, a golden armor stands with a warhammer in hand . Inside the helmet, she cannot see anything of note; like all the armors around, it is hollow inside.
-So... Goldy , huh ? Let's see what you've got...
Goji walks towards the standing golden armor with deliberate calm as she moves . The armor does not react in any meaningful way except to prepare for any attack. When Goji is about to step inside the range of the weapon, the armor is ready, swinging the heavy warhammer towards her. When the swing is moments away from hitting her, she turns her body away, but not to escape, as her tail moves and hits the warhammer away, redirecting the heavy blow to the ground, devastating the earth but giving Goji an opening. She quickly moves toward the golden armor, her fist wrapped in a yer of mana as she strikes the gauntlets of the armor, hoping to make it let go of the weapon. Still, to no avail; as her fist hits the yer of mana wrapping all the armor, the cracks are evident, but before she can break it apart and truly hit the armor, it steps back , taking its hammer with it. Goji, for her part, follows it with more hits, but they are evaded, and the ones that connect only remove a bit of the yer wrapping it . The armor swings once again, forcing her to evade and halting her follow-up attacks. Around her, Joy and the now-not-cornered soldiers are killing the Gnolls in the area. Goji takes this moment to form a pn.
-Hey Joy , I've got a Goldy here . Want to help?
-Nope , we don't need to defeat it; just get our guys out . Maintain its attention while I finish off the Gnolls here, and we evacuate. We don't have time to break its armor *Joy responds as she flies around, sending spells to the remaining Gnolls. The swarm is thinning fast ; there are only minutes to run from here . Goji can feel the ground moving as the rest of the army of monsters comes closer after cleaning the city.*
She goes back to fight, punching , kicking, and hitting with her tail as she throws herself toward the armor, but its resilience is impressive. Cracks can be seen in the yer, but nothing definitive as she continues distracting the monster . Sometimes the warhammer connects against her; the pain is absolute, but nothing she cannot tolerate . The regeneration of her body keeps up easily with these sporadic hits . She maintains her position; it 's a dead end ; she can end it, she can kill the monster, she wants to . A simple atomic breath can break its armor , no matter how many yers-her attack would win this fight . But she doesn't do it . She isn't here to win ; she now has a mission ; she now has people counting on her.
Then the bell rings - the order from Joy comes at a perfect time.
-Goji! All ready!
She moves, evading the st swing of the warhammer, and with a fist wrapped in mana, she hits the armor, but not to break it- to push it away . The mana explodes like a tornado, sending the armor through the hangar walls and to the far end of the airport. She moves towards the soldiers and picks up two of them who are badly wounded. The team runs toward the pne as the screams of Gnolls can be heard in the distance. When they get to the pne, Thori and the other two are waiting . The young girl with a nervous face helps tend to the wounded as they take off, leaving behind an army of monsters...
