Chapter 162: To Teach a Tamaneko

I held back laughter as Parsnip, now his official name per Tama’s proclamation, was given the very important task… of cleaning up after Jiggle by himself for the next week.

Tama truly could be merciless to people she disliked. You didn’t get on her bad side. She stood from her seat, stretched, then looked at me. “Tama needs your help too. Please come with Tama.”

She grabbed me and blinked out of the room. Unlike most, I loved the feeling of Tama blinking with me. Maybe it was because we were so close. Maybe it was because we were both divine.

Either way, I took immense pleasure in Tama’s blink. I replaced her underwear with myself so I could feel it better. She blinked us down the hall and down another… then she took a left.. Where was she going?

The Royal Library. She was taking me to the royal library. I was so stunned I didn’t even notice her literally blink up and grab a specific purple book off one of the shelves. I felt it though.

After a moment, I left her body and reformed as Sabi. She held up the book. The cover literally said. I snorted and looked up at her. “Tama, this is a book about learning to read. Are.. are you asking me to teach you how to read?”

Tama pursed her lips and looked over at the door. She covered my mouth and leaned in. “Shhhh don’t tell Saki! Tama wants to surprise her! Tama wants to learn words and magic!” Her tail lashed excitedly back and forth and I could feel it flooding her through my core. She was genuinely overjoyed at surprising Saki.

I smiled and blushed. “Oh Tama! Of course I’ll teach you to read! Let’s just…” I opened the book and read the first page.

I snorted and made a small correction.

I flipped the page and looked at the index. I frowned at the insanity on the page.

  Chapter 1 - A is for Atrocious

  Chapter 2 - B is for Backwards

  Chapter 3 - C is for Catharsis

There were 28 chapters. 1 to 26 were the alphabet followed by a quite frankly insane first word. The last 2 were “putting it all together”

I shook my head. “Tama, maybe this book isn't the best option for teaching you to read?”

Tama looked at it for a moment then shrugged. “General Tully said it was the best way to learn for Tama.”

I paused at that. General Tully? Why would he recommend this book? I turned the page to chapter 1.

“Ahem…” I trailed off as I read the sentence and shook my head. Sighing, I read it out loud. “A is for Atrocious, for that's what you are. To all of your enemies near and far. A as in Apple A as in Art. A is the beginning of all of your starts.”

I shook my head again and looked up at Tama. She looked thoughtfully for a long moment and frowned. “Tama wants to try and write it!” She disappeared and reappeared with a pen and paper.

“Tama you don't just…” I trailed off for a second time as Tama proceeded to write a perfect A.

I slowly shifted to chapter 2, now genuinely lost at what was happening. I took a deep shuddering breath and began to read.

“B is for Backwards, B is for banned, B is the letter you cannot stand. B is a failure when A is for All. B is for Backwards, how your enemies fall.”

I looked over at Tama. She looked puzzled. I sighed, certainly A was just a one off. There was no way…

“Nya! Tama gets it! B for Bananas!” She said excitedly as she proceeded to write the perfect B.

I stared in open mouth shock. “How.. what… when?!”

Slowly I turned the page, almost terrified to see what C held.

“C is for Catharsis, what one often feels. C for Canary, C for it all. C is for Cookies.”

I knitted my brows together. The cookie bit looked like it was added after the fact. Its ink was newer.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

I looked over at Tama. She looked back at me. “Tama doesn't understand.” She said, Her ears furrowed and she looked deep in thought.

“Um..” I considered what A and B were doing and I thought about how Tama seemed to be learning. “Oh!”Chapter 162:

I smiled as I tried a new rhyme. “C is for Caring, all love and all..” I trailed off as I looked for a rhyme. Shaking my head I shifted. “C is for Caring, what a Tamaneko is. C is for closeness, what a Tamaneko stays. C is for Careful, as A Tamaneko is.”

Tama's eyes went wide with realization and wrote a perfect C. She now had A, B, and C… just like that…

“Interesting, it seems your way of learning is comparative. That.. actually makes a lot of sense. Let me try something.”

Tama looked at me, then nodded. I closed the book and took a moment to consider.

“D is for Danger, A Ninja's way. D is for dungeons, all filled with enemies. D is for Damage, which Tama does lots of.”

I watched as it clicked and Tama wrote D. I snickered under my breath. “D is for Drake, D is for Drama, D is for Dicks, which Tama wants all'a.”

Tama's ears twitched and she blushed. Her tail went between her legs. “Tama has a date with Drake! He is taking her to the gear shop!”

“The.. gear shop…” I said weakly before bursting out laughing. “Your date is him taking you to look at swords and armor?! Oh my elements Tama!” She flushed even redder and her nose started to bleed.

“Tama, Tama, hear me out okay? Instead, bring him to your room in the castle. I promise with just the three of us? You will have an amazing time!” I started convincing Tama.

“There you are! I need you for my dildo!” Regent Alissa said I whirled as she walked over and grabbed me.

“Wait! I was…” She ignored my protestations and pulled me out of the room. As I left, I saw Tama snicker at me. Then I saw Kita entering the room to speak to Tama. “Nevermind, what size do you need me?” I giggled as I flowed into the phallic object in question.

Aunt Alissa dragged Sabi out of the room. She turned into a dildo. Auntie giggled and licked her then ran down the hall. “I found her, Roddy! Bend over!”

I frowned at that. “Tama thought Roddy was a boy?” My tail lashed as I turned to leave, only to come face to face with Kita.

“My daddy is a boy, Tama, but when my new mother wants something, she gets it. Very much like you, my mistress.” Her voice was calm, almost serene. She had been so much happier since the collar was put on.

My eyes wandered to her collar and I winced slightly. She brought her hand up and ran a single finger along its silver line. As she did, she shuddered in pleasure. I felt nauseous.

“What does Kita want?” I asked. I looked behind her to see if maybe Saki was around.

“Saki is.. Busy at the moment my Queen. I assure you that I shall be quick… unless you want me to be slow.” Her eyes wandered my body before landing back on my eyes.

I took a step back and held up the book. “Tama is busy!” Kita just giggled and looked at the front of the book.

“I see, it looks like a very important book, my Queen. Might I help in any way?” Kita asked as she smiled shyly at me. I paused and looked at the book. Sabi was gone… I needed someone to teach me… But Kita was…

“Nya! Tama wants you to teach her to read!” I pushed the book into her hands. She nodded with adoration in her eyes.

“It would be my utmost pleasure to serve.” She opened the book, then after a moment frowned. “I.. I apologize, your greatness, this is.. Strange to me. I…” She turned the book sideways, then frowned deeper. “What.. atrocious? Why?”

After a moment she put the book on the table and fell to her knees. “I am deeply sorry, my Queen. I am unsure how to teach you, I am simply not good enough. Please punish me as you see fit.”

I was frustrated. How was I supposed to learn to read for Saki if Sabi was gone and Kita couldn’t teach me!?

Aunt Alissa rushed by again. She was now naked and Sabi was nowhere to be seen. She saw me and rushed into the room. “Tama! Your elemental was being pushed up…”

Kita suddenly stood and covered Auntie’s mouth. “Regent, please do not speak so uncouth in front of your Queen.” I frowned and looked between them.

“What is Uncouth?” Alissa looked as confused as me.

Kita sighed quietly. “I am terribly sorry, my Queen. Uncouth means inappropriate, unacceptable, perverted, sexual.” Her tail lashed once, twice, then stilled.

Auntie just shrugged and pulled Kita’s hand away. “Tama! Sabi got stuck inside Roddy! I need..” Before she could finish, Sabi rushed into the room giggling. She was covered in butter?

She suddenly turned into water without a word and flooded in through Alissa’s mouth. Alissa jerked and then smiled. “No worries! Problem solved!” Then turned, and walked out of the room.

Kita put a hand over her mouth, but she was clearly smiling underneath. I giggled and turned back to the book. “Can Kita not read?” I asked.

Kita was already back on her knees and bowing. “I can, your majesty, I am fluent in twenty four languages, including but not limited to Trissialian, Earthen English, Earthen Spanish, Newtonian Klargism, and of course Rojian.”

I nodded at that and held up the book. “Then why can’t Kita teach Tama? Is the book in a language Kita doesn't read?” My tail lashed angrily and Kita withered.

Tears filled her eyes. “I am truly sorry, your greatness, but the book.. It isn’t one of learning. It appears to just be a bunch of rhyming poetry. Nothing in there is a teachable thing.”

I frowned and stomped my foot. She began to shake. “Please my Queen, I can do anything else. Give me another chance to serve in a way I can!” She was now sobbing quietly as she shook, her forehead touching the floor.

I stared at her for a moment before sighing. I opened the book and flipped it to the page Sabi had open. “Nya! Read it to Tama!” I snapped at her.

She was on her feet in an instant and holding the book. She nodded profusely. “As you wish my Queen, this I can do!” She looked at the page and smiled before beginning to read in a calm and soothing voice.

“E is for Elephant, the largest in the room. E is for Everyone, and that includes you! E is important, E is Everything.”

Kita turned the page, but I stopped her. “Let Tama try now!” I turned and wrote E on the paper. I looked at Kita and she looked in shock.

“Most wondrous perfection! You learned the Trissalian letter of E with only a rhyme! You are truly a Tamaneko.” She brought her hand up to her collar and shuddered. “I am so happy, my service to such a great Tamaneko!”

I waited for her to finish and pointed at the book. She paled. “I am so sorry your Majesty!” She quickly looked back down and turned the page.

“F is for Fancy, F is for Fun, F is for everything you want and then some.”

She paused and frowned at that. “It.. doesn’t really rhyme.” She said after a moment. I ignored her and wrote down F.

She looked at the letter and wiped a tear from her eye. She didn’t say anything though. Instead she turned to the next page…
