Another day passed and while I was bored, I started picking up small objects around my dungeon, this led to me discovering I could pick up small creatures outside my dungeon, so the new pass time of fishing for S.P. was born. My view of the world was still very small and so my focus was there every time something entered my field of view I plucked them up and unceremoniously toss them into my pit trap killing them and giving me more S.P.
This entertained me for hours each day, it was just like fishing when I caught something so small it wouldn’t give any S.P. I released it and only consumed those that would.
Every now and again something too big would come by and I wouldn’t be able to pick them up, so I annoyed them by tossing stones and sand at their faces and they came chasing to the source my dungeon.
This new hobby of mine did increase the rate I would normally gain S.P. and I took full advantage of it. Using some of the S.P. I farmed to purchase a couple berry bushes to attract more creatures to my dungeon.
I didn’t take everything that entered my field of influence because my little owl friend sure enjoyed the small morsels I ignored. My little friend that had made its home in one of my trees needed to eat, it would also seem that its mate had joined him in the tree and soon they may have a little family of owls this excited me as I liked watching the owl each day.
Max S.P. increased from 20 to 30
Telekinesis increased to level 2
Dungeon floor expansion purchased
“Cool my telekinesis increased with use.” This excited me as this would widen my budget for more things around my dungeon. I also increased my max S.P. and added a new from to my floor to tuck my core out of sight of the entrance with a wooden door and lock. This was what I could afford as I had plans for the rest of my points that would be more than worth it.
Now for the thing I saved up for so long, which was probably just a few days it was time to make my big purchase.
Dungeon beast purchased
Sand cat level 1
Affinity sand
“Aww so cute and fluffy.” A small sand cat popped into existence in my core room. A meow greeted me as it looked around and started to groom itself.
Cat bed purchased
Cat food purchased
Cat water bowl purchased
Cat toy purchased
I immediately started to spoil my new cute little guy with gifts of toys and food. And it gone all the S.P. I saved up for this was spent and I didn’t regret a thing.
“Who’s I cute little murder mittens? You are.” I cooed at the little sand cat as I floated a cat toy that squeaked back and forth watching him chase and catch it over and o er again.
“Definitely worth the points.” I said as I picked up the sand cat and rubbed its head with my mental hand. It meowed and purred in delight to all the attention.
“I shall call you Dusty.” I announced as I watched it roll in the sand getting a layer of dust on its fluffy fur and surrounding sand stone.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
The next few days I watched Dusty venture into and out of the entrance room pouncing on the anything that moved, this time it was a sun scorpion that wandered into the cave, I was worried at first but dusty had it handled, but then while in his clutches the sun scorpion flashed a bright light in defense, this didn’t bother Dusty as it was quickly snuffed out when Dusty killed it, he then brought the corpse back to my core room. He mewed in delight as it dissolved and was absorbed into my core.
“Good boy.” I said giving him scritches under his chin.
To celebrate I purchased a jar of treats and gave one to Dusty, and he loved it looking around for more then to me with a look that pleaded for more.
“No, you’re a good boy but only once a day ok.”
Dusty grumbled when I didn’t give in to his pleading eyes, it was hard really hard, but I held fast while I rolled him over and rubbed the fur on his belly which I found surprising that he allowed me to do. I added a painting of Dusty later that day to my wall of art that displayed the outside world, his image was proudly above all my other paintings dominating the wall.
The next day Dusty decided he wanted to go outside and I was greeted with a new notification.
Would you like your dungeon beast to go on an expedition Y/N.
“That’s new lets go with Yes.” Dusty bolted out of the cave entrance out to the outside world, and I followed him with my vision. Soon we were chasing slimes and sun spiders and scorpions to his heats content.
Slime was defeated
Sun spider was defeated
Scorpion was defeated
Beetle was defeated
Dusty was on a role a fluffy killer and every time he killed something it was absorbed into him and intern into me racking in the S.P., when he got back, he would receive all the treats and scritches.
But instead of returning into the cave when he killed his fill, he left my influence.
“Wait Dusty where are you going.”
Would you like to end your expedition Y/N
“Oh, so he’s not leaving me that good I was about to panic.” I selected No.
Waiting for a moment I found that I could see what Dusty could see on his journey and for the first time in what must have been weeks I saw the greater world and the world looked like more sand.
“That was a letdown but maybe he can find something interesting.”
After a couple of days of travel, I left Dusty on his journey started improving my cave or dungeon I should say as now I have a second floor. This required me to purchase my max S.P. and level my dungeon.
Max S.P. 30 to 40
Max S.P. 40 to 50
Dungeon level 2
As I made my upgrades Dusty made a steady stream of S.P. for me saving me the time to drag any local creatures to kill myself. Dusty is the best companion I could have asked for.
Additional floor added
And now I have my second floor where I moved my dungeon core room along with all of Dusty’s things. I have yet to set more traps, but I left the bowl of fruit and two traps on the first floor for now, I might change the layout for now, but the second floor will be dedicated to my core and Dusty for now.
I have also noticed that the pile of rocks that contained my dungeon has increased in size from a hole in which a person would have to crawl on their stomach to enter it is now big enough for someone to crouch to enter. I don’t know how I felt about that, but my traps adjusted to the size of the entrance so I’m going to leave it for latter.
Warning intruder detected
Desert Cottontail level 1
Affinity Wind
“Aww a cute little bunny, die!”
Intruder eliminated 10 S.P. earned
“I should probably make more traps I’m going to encounter something my traps can’t handle, like that slime that almost got to my core.”
With that I proceeded to purchase a couple more traps, an arrow trap that launched arrows from the walls that I placed at the stairs that lead to the second floor and a swing log trap at the entrance of my second floor.
“What do you think Hooty will this be enough to defend my home?” I asked my owl friend, he didn’t respond he just did owl things eating sleeping and the pile of bones below his tree grew. Along with the growth of my dungeon, the spring that I placed also grew to the size that a person could submerge themselves in and so did the gem in the water from the size a marble to the size of a baseball, I thought that it was neat one less thing for me to do this system is very helpful.
“Let’s see how Dusty is doing out in the waists.” I went back to Dusty’s view it was already night, but he kept exploring and when he crested over a dune and saw a city it had tall skyscrapers, but they looked weird and they didn’t light up like I would expect at night instead it was dark and quiet. At my mental prodding he headed towards the city, and I watched as the building grew bigger as he came closer.
