Chapter 74

  Just under thirty minutes had passed and nearly the entire Goa'uld fleet had been destroyed. On the bridge of Tanith's vessel news poured in on the destroyed Goa'uld fleet.

  "My Lord, only five ships remain. If we continue, we too may be destroyed."

  Tanith's anger grew rapidly. He had started out this invasion with over fifty Ha'Taks and twenty AlQuesh, now he only had five more ships remaining. These were no ordinary ships, these were ships created by his master, Lord Anubis himself. Their shields and weapons were supposed to be greater than the Tollan and the Asgard. Still they found themselves, not only at the mercy of the Asgard and Tollan, but also this mysterious new enemy whose powerful weapons desecrated Anubus's fleet.

  "Jaffa! How many ships do we still have at base?" said Lord Tanith.

  "Around sixty more Ha'Taks and thirty more Al Quesh,"said the young servant.

  "Get word to base and tell them I want all ships here immediately," said Tanith.

  The Jaffa on the bridge looked at each other with concern in their eyes.

  "But my Lord, that will be every one of our ships. Should we not retreat and live to fight another day,"said the young Jaffa lieutenant.

  Tanith's eyes flashed white and the young Jaffa turned his head down in disgrace.

  Without speaking a word, the doomed Jaffa sent a message back to base requesting the remainder of their fleet over the skies of Tollana.

  Tanith then cocked his head to the side and smirked, "Lieutenant, we have Tollan's new gate address don't we?"

  "Why yes we do, my Lord," said the brave Jaffa.

  Tanith sat back in his golden throne and laughed.

  "Tollan will fall, one way or the other…"

  Word had reached the ground on the near destruction of the Goa'uld fleet. With only a few ships remaining, the people of Tollan began to breathe a sigh of relief — and then the Gate began to spin.

  Kaswoosh!

  Onlookers by the Stargate, simple civilians caught in the fray, stood silent and watched in desperate anticipation of who could be coming through the gate.

  All of a sudden, hordes of Jaffa soldiers bearing the mark of Anubis came running through Tollan's gate. As soon as they stepped through they started firing shots from their staff weapons sending the people in a frenzy.

  In the Tollan Command Center, Reva and Jennifer Lopez were still talking with General Maco when live footage of the gate came in.

  "Dios Mio,"said Jennifer Lopez. "They are killing all of the chiquito ninos, oh no!"

  In orbit, the Samantha was making its final approach on Tanith's vessel when Reva contacted Amos telling him about the active gate.

  "Amos, my love,"said Reva.

  "What is it Reva, I'm a little busy finishing off the Goa'uld fleet,"responded Amos.

  "Baby, the Goa'uld have dialed in and have sent hundreds of Jaffa warriors into Tollan! They're killing everyone, men, women, even children. The Tollan defense forces are swamped down here. We need help,"stated Reva.

  Amos was this close to destroying the Goa'uld fleet and now the Goa'uld dared to use Tollan's self made Stargate to bypass Reva's shield and invade on foot.

  "Those bastards!"cursed Amos as he leaned forward in the Samantha's Command Chair.

  "Ampu, we have to wait on that, we're coming in range of the remaining enemy ships,"said Egeria.

  "Their shields are still strong, we should use drones to take them out,"said Sha're.

  As The Samantha drew nearer to the Ha'Tak vessel, Tanith could make out the titular red and gold ship making its final approach on the doomed vessel.

  On the Samantha, Amos leaned back in his command chair and channeled his lantean powers and fired another continuous stream of drones, through the remaining ships.

  Boom. The drones burrowed into Tanith's ship dissecting it deck by deck. Sensing the inevitable, Tanith got up from his throne and gently walked to the rear of the bridge.

  "Jaffa, Kree!,"said Tanith to a group of Jaffa Warriors in the back of the ship. The group grabbed their staff weapons and followed Tanith to the ring room. Soon explosions and destruction could be seen throughout the corridors of the ship. In one room an explosion knocked over a group of Jaffa and the halls became open to space. In another room an entire Jaffa regiment caught fire and ran erratically trying to put out their flames. Still Tanith and his group of Jaffa Warriors made their way to the ring room and got in the center of its circle.

  "My lord!" screamed a fearful Jaffa. Standing in front of Tanith was the same Jaffa Lieutenant who served him on the bridge.

  "My Lord! Please take me with you, I'll do anything, I don't want to die."said the Lieutenant.

  Still there was no room for him on the ring platform, the Jaffa standing with him had taken up all the space.

  As the ill-fated ship began to fall apart and parts of the ship became open to space, Tanith lifted up his hand, which was enveloped in a Goa'uld Kara Kesh, and blasted the loyal Jaffa Lieutenant out into the vacuum of space.

  He then pressed a red orb on top of the Kara Kesh, summoning five golden rings, bringing he and the remaining Jaffa down to the surface of the planet as the final Ha'Tak met its destruction.
