Chapter 67: Fate is a strange thing

Volume 1 Chainsaw Man Chapter 67 Fate is a weird thing

Nate foamed at the mouth, rolled his eyes and fell to the ground, he had long been in a daze of pain and did not respond to his partner's calls.

"Let's go together!" The five men's faces changed, and the thin Chinese man in front of them knocked out Ter with one punch. Unable to accept this, they plucked up their courage and came forward shoulder to shoulder, shouting strangely.

But Zhou Shaoming didn't give them any reaction time, and as soon as they shouted out the first letter, he rushed up like a gust of wind, his right fist flying like a soaring dragon!

Teeth flying, people falling, covering mouths, wailing.

One after another, those gangsters were relatively better in quality than Tel, but they covered their mouths and rolled around on the ground, screaming miserably, without fainting from pain.

The last guy stared blankly at his fallen comrades, the baseball bat in his hand clattering to the ground. Zhou Shaoming showed no mercy, walking slowly over and delivering a heavy punch that sent the guy flying several meters away.

"Awesome! Is this Chinese Kung Fu?" Eve's eyes sparkled with an unusual light, clapping her hands in excitement, jumped down from Harley and hugged Zhou Shaoming's arm.

The slight undulation on his arm was rubbing against him, causing Zhou Shaoming's heart to surge instantly.

"Yes, Chinese Kung Fu! Every Chinese knows it!" Zhou Shaoming hastily pulled his arm out of Eve's embrace and explained.

Facing the gangsters who were lying on the ground, Zhou Shaoming glanced at them with disdain, picked up a handful of snow from the ground, and then lifted the unconscious Tel by the neck with one hand, rubbing the snow block fiercely on his head and face.

The icy snow melted into flowing water, seeping into Ter's clothes and chilling him to the bone, waking him up.

"Hey buddy, you guys have smashed up my car. What do you think I should do?" Zhou Shaoming effortlessly lifted Tel high up and asked with his head tilted to one side.

Turning his head, he saw that everyone on the ground was covering their mouths and humming, Ter felt that his neck was pinched by an iron-like palm and couldn't breathe at all. He cried out in terror: "I... I'll pay, please, spare me!"

Telle was heavily slammed to the ground, Zhou Shaoming crossed his arms and sneered: "Compensate? Of course, I need compensation! This is a brand new car I just bought! And, I'm telling you, next time you see Chinese people, get out of my sight!"

"Y-yes...!" Teru was almost scared out of his wits, and he hastily pulled out a large sum of cash before turning to leave.

"Is that all?" Zhou Shaoming's eyes widened in anger, causing Te Er to tremble again.

Several gang members were propped up by Tel, and the five of them looked gloomy and almost emptied their last copper coins before disappearing into the night.

"Here you go, this is the consolation money they gave you!" Stuffing the banknotes into Evie's hand, Zhou Shaoming restarted the Harley.

"Haha! That's great, next time if a few more blind guys come to rob you it'll be even better!" Eve's eyes sparkled with little stars.

Haley is back on the road again.

Avril was much more intimate with herself than before, tightly hugging Zhou Shaoming's waist, unwilling to let go for a moment.

Drop Aimeier to the door, the sleeping house is still sleeping. Aimeier jumped off the car, looked at the railing, and her charming eyes turned around, pretending to be pitiful and said: "Zhou, it's so dangerous to climb over here, can you help me?"

Zhou Shaoming was speechless, could only frown and spread his hands: "Say it, how can I help you? Throw you over? I don't have that much strength!"

"Who wants you to throw me away! I wanted you to crouch down, so I can step on your shoulders and climb up easily!" Ai Weier pretended to be angry and lightly punched Zhou Shaoming.

"Alright, alright! Whatever you say!" Zhou Shaoming obediently squatted down, patted his own shoulder, and said in a low voice: "Hey, be gentle when you step on me, I'm afraid of pain! Be careful or I might accidentally throw you off."

Ai Wei'er glanced at the watch on her right hand, and it was almost 4 o'clock in the morning. She was a bit worried that her parents would find out that she had sneaked out with a man in the middle of the night, so she quickened her pace. She grabbed the railing covered with snow, stepped on Zhou Shaoming's shoulder, and ignored his pretend pain, climbing over quickly.

"Alright!" Ai Weier jumped down from the railing, stood firmly on the ground, turned around and showed a dazzling smile to Zhou Shaoming who was rubbing his shoulders: "I'm going back to sleep! You go back too! Remember! Tomorrow at the ice rink, no see no scatter!"

Zhou Shaoming nodded slightly, watching her tiptoe to open the door and sneak in quietly, before turning away with a slight pout.

Aiwei'er, who had already retreated to her own room, gazed far away at Zhou Shaoming's departing figure. Meanwhile, her sister Michelle turned over drowsily and mumbled something, scaring Aiwei'er back into her quilt.

Recalling the figure that made her heart skip a beat, the clean and nimble movements that couldn't be put into words, the back that shielded her like a mountain peak, everything about him filled Evie with curiosity. And for some reason, being by his side gave her an inexplicable sense of security and dependability.

That warm feeling made Evie happily close her eyes as she snuggled into the blankets, but in her mind, there was always his eyes, his eyebrows...

Napanee has an ice rink that isn't very big, which is no surprise since hockey is Canada's national sport and one of the most exciting team sports in the world, not to mention the fastest. Hockey is extremely popular in Europe, the US and Canada, this crazy sport combines technique, balance and physical strength, a high-speed collision-filled activity.

Ice hockey also originated in Canada, where men and women of all ages love this thrilling sport. Tonight, Napanee's amateur ice hockey team, the Blades, will play a friendly match against another small town's team called the Frontenacs, and Amy is naturally cheering for Napanee's team.

It was already 7:30 in the evening, and Napanee had entered the dark night early in winter. Zhou Shaoming stood in front of the brightly lit ice rink, leaning against his Harley motorcycle, smoking listlessly as he waited for Ai Weier to arrive.

Not far away, a girl riding a skateboard came flying over and caught Zhou Shaoming's attention. Looking at her petite figure, he knew that Ai Weier had arrived.

"Hey, waited long?" Ai Weier skillfully controlled the skateboard and circled around Zhou Shaoming before jumping down with a flourish, her heel tapping the ground. The skateboard sprang up as if it had springs, and she caught it with a smile, tilting her head to one side.

The girl in front of Ai Weier wore a bright red long windbreaker, with a large eight-pointed star-shaped badge on her chest, still wearing tight-fitting jeans, and black long-tube leather boots on her feet, exuding youthful vitality.

"It wasn't very long, just over ten minutes!" Zhou Shaoming said slowly, looking at Ai Weier, and pressed the burnt-out cigarette butt into the trash can.

"Alright, let's go! I can't wait to see the Ice Blade team slaughter the Forward team! Haha!" Aimeier made an effort to lift up her carefully dressed face, raised her head and gazed at Zhou Shaoming, then pulled his hand and headed towards the ice rink.

The hockey arena was packed with spectators, the small town almost emptying out to squeeze into the rink and cheer on their team. The enthusiastic, open and generous Canadians held all sorts of flags, banners and signs, clutching large paper cups of Coke and bags of chips, chattering excitedly and discussing the game.

"This is our seat, come on, Zhou!" Ai Weier plopped down in her seat and waved at Zhou Shaoming, then excitedly shrieked loudly: "Haha, the match is just about to start!"

The spotlight in the arena lit up, shining directly on a lone ice hockey player slowly skating into the arena. The DJ yelled at the highest decibel: "Welcome, our Napanee pride, number 23 'Lightning' Jess Tanguay! He has already scored 23 goals in 28 games!"

"Wow! That's our Napani hero! My idol!" Aimer excitedly shouted with a bright red face, standing up and waving her hands wildly, hoping to catch Lightning Jesse's eye.

And then, as if Flash Jack had heard Aimee's shout, he turned to the stands and smiled, his handsome face lighting up, making Aimee even more ecstatic, unable to contain herself, continuously using her high-pitched voice to bombard Zhou Shaoming, who only wanted to cover his ears.

Zhou Shaoming couldn't help but find it a bit amusing, this girl who would become famous in just a few years, with countless people, fans and enthusiasts looking up to her on stage, shouting at the top of their lungs just to get her attention, smiling slightly. Fate is indeed a strange thing.
