After a few days, Martia again went to market and then to her source to see if the situation in Promapple had improved. But the situation had only gotten worse, with Acastius and Minver in more dire straits than before. She realized that killing Promanthae was the only way to save her friends. She also realized that she had to go there and save them before they lost their lives along with their followers, who trusted them to better their lives. But she knew that once she went back there, she might get trapped again.
Then she remembered about the Prince and was in a dilemma as to what decision to take. She decided to talk to Prince.
When he entered the room, Martia went to him, held his hand, and
made him sit down on the bed. Sitting next to him, she said, “Acastius and Minver are in trouble, and if I delay helping them anymore, they might die. I know how to help them. But I don’t want to leave you here and keep you waiting for me. Just tell me what to do. Without any questions, I will accept that, and I will be happy with that, too. No matter what, you are my only priority. No one else’s life matters to me at the cost of even one moment of sadness that you feel. I won’t regret not saving them if you don’t
want me to take this risk and go back. So be honest and say whatever you want so I can make peace with the chaos in my mind and choose a side and be there completely.”

On hearing this, the Prince felt secure and happy that Martia was
sharing her innermost thoughts with him. He very gently pulled her closer to him, held her, and said, “They are in this situation because of us, right? They helped us against everything. Now that they are in trouble, how can we leave them alone? Friendship, too, is a sacred relationship. And this relationship should also never be miserable. Go and save them, I know you are capable of that. But you know, right? I can’t survive without you!
So, promise me that you will come back to me as quickly as possible. No matter what, you will come back to me. Promise me.”
Martia teasingly said with a smile, “But I always break my promises.”
The Prince looked at her a little annoyed.
Martia smiled and said, “I don’t have to promise this to you, sweetheart. You know that no matter what, I will always come back to you.” She stood up. “I should leave immediately then. But you will not have to wait long. I will just help them and come back. It is not difficult. So, you promise me that you won’t worry, and you won’t be sad.” She kissed him and, embraced him as tightly as she could and left the room.
