Chapter 70: Three Wishes
The sky remained silent. The moon still shone brightly. The recent fluctuations had vanished without a trace.
"Auntie, stop wasting my time!" Princess Pailin said sternly, but everything remained motionless.
Seeing this, Princess Pailin cursed in frustration. She no longer maintained her princessly demeanor. A fierce rage blazed in her pink eyes. She raised the dagger high and plunged it into her own throat without hesitation.
To the shock of Nitaan, he tried to push the dagger away with ‘Gravity’, but at this moment, he had no strength left. The dagger was only a few centimeters from Princess Pailin's fair neck, its speed showing no sign of slowing down.
She is serious! If that person won’t appear, she is ready to die right here!
The moment the dagger plunged into her throat and drops of bright red blood began to seep out. Dagger suddenly froze due to some unknown force.
The dagger was then flung away. A shallow cut appeared on her neck, blood gushing out. If she had been even a fraction of a second slower, that dagger would have surely pierced her major blood vessels and windpipe.
Princess Pailin's eyes, once filled with madness, calmed. She gazed at the figure of a middle-aged woman floating in the air. She had red hair and pink eyes, just like Pailin.
Fair faces and skin, delicate facial features, alongside her exquisite clothes. She is without a doubt the most beautiful person Nitaan has ever seen.
Her face bore a striking resemblance to Princess Pailin's, but her age and her demeanor made her appear much older.
The woman sighed softly, her eyes expressionless. A lingering energy spurred from her palm, yet even this lingering energy exerted an immense pressure.
"Auntie, stop dawdling! Pailin wished for Auntie to kill those Devil beasts immediately!" she shouted irritably.
The middle-aged woman remained silent. She stared at Princess Pailin with an impassive, emotionless gaze. Princess Pailin, however, showed no sign of backing down. She glared back, completely disregarding the fact that the woman before her was far stronger.
The middle-aged woman glanced at Nitaan out of the corner of her eye. A tremendous pressure suddenly descended upon Nitaan.
Enlightened! Nitaan coughed up blood. Under normal circumstances, he could have endured, but now he could barely stand. His eyes trembled, yet there was no sign of yielding. Nitaan simply looked up, meeting the woman's gaze directly.
"This is your punishment for failing to protect Pailin," the middle-aged woman said coldly and emotionlessly. Princess Pailin raised an eyebrow slightly upon hearing this.
"I accept my punishment." Nitaan looked into her eyes, then lowered his head, his body trembling.
The pressure vanished without a trace, but Nitaan felt another power surge in another place. A tremendous surge of anger overwhelmed him, making him dizzy. Nitaan turned towards the source and found it was Kiita.

Even though Kiita was battling the Tree-man, he was acutely aware of his surroundings. Seeing Nitaan being attacked before his very eyes, his rage surged. He prepared to abandon the Tree-man and run back to him, but Nitaan stopped him, ordering him to continue protecting the villagers.
Kiita growled menacingly, his pitch-black eyes glancing briefly at the middle-aged woman before resuming his fight with the Tree-man.
The middle-aged woman sensed this. She turned to look at Kiita, a faint smile appearing on her lips. She observed Kiita with interest.
“It is my fault for not properly trained him. Please forgive me, Enlightened,” Nitaan bowed even lower. Princess Pailin, seeing this, tried to speak, but the woman stopped her with a raised hand.
“Pailin, why did you summon me?” she asked.
Even though Princess Pailin was irritated, she remained calm because the person before her could protect the villagers. Looking up at the middle-aged woman's face, Princess Pailin pleaded, "Auntie, please, help eliminate the remaining four Devil beasts and protect the villagers."
"My duty is only to protect your life, not the lives of commoners," she shook her head.
"You promised to grant Pailin's three wishes," Princess Pailin persisted.
Hearing this, she raised an eyebrow slightly, her usually calm expression visibly furrowing.
"Are you sure you want to spend three valuable wishes on such a trivial matter?" she asked.
"Pailin is certain, and I already said from the beginning. Protect them!" Princess Pailin replied without hesitation. There was no hesitation in her voice, only immense displeasure. She had called out and made her request three times before her auntie finally appeared.
Every passing second could mean the loss of a life!
"Foolish child. How valuable are three wishes from Enlightened? And you waste them on something like this." The middle-aged woman sighed again.
"As you wish." She raised her hand slightly. It was at that very moment that Nitaan sensed a powerful energy within his body. This energy pulsated like his heart. Nitaan looked down and saw that his Word of Power ‘Kiita Wongjantra’ was faintly emitting energy, as if responding to another connected power source.
However, because his Word of Power ‘Kiita Wongjantra’ was still at their Learner level, the response was minimal, only a rhythmic radiance of energy emanating from them.
The source of the other power source was Kiita himself. Electric currents flickered from Kiita's body, and an azure light emanated from him. Nitaan's eyes widened at the sight. Kiita now resembled him when he used Falling Vajra.
He looked back and forth between Kiita and his own Word of Power ‘Kiita Wongjantra’.
He smiled slightly and then spoke:
“Pailin, it’s fine now.”
Before Princess Pailin could reply, the middle-aged woman lowered her hand, her gaze fixed on Kiita. A look of intense interest was evident in her eyes.
Numerous streams of indigo electricity emanated from Kiita's body. Above its head, a meteor spun at high speed.
Kiita glared at the middle-aged woman with displeasure. It howled loudly. The indigo meteor above its head shone brightly, spinning at such speed that it turned into a white-blue color.
The Tree-man widened its eyes. This kind of sight instilled fear in its heart. Seeing this, it placed both hands on the ground, creating layer after layer of plant barriers.
It recognized Falling Vajra that had killed the half-tiger, half-eagle!
Numerous plants rose from the earth, forming a gigantic wall dozens of meters thick. Kiita, however, paid no attention. It continued to howl, its gaze fixed on the Tree-man Devil beast. With a single gnawing motion, the meteor above its head shot out like a beam of light.
Tree after tree crumbled rapidly. The plant barrier seemed unable to hinder Kiita's Falling Vajra in the slightest. Yet there are still effects. The deeper it penetrated, the slower it became.
Kiita's Falling Vajra was clearly inferior to Nitaan's. After all, Nitaan used Half-Second Enlightenment when he attacked. Kiita's spiritual energy now barely reaches Second word Engraver.
When the last tree collapsed, Falling Vajra's power diminished considerably. However, it still pierced the Tree-man's chest, dragging his body against the wall, the spear lodged there.
His body was charred, the stench of burning wafting through the air. Yet, he still breathed, struggling to pull the spear from his chest, desperately trying to regenerate. But then a dark shadow appeared before him, striking his face with a Verdant Punisher, shattering his head into tiny pieces.
Princess Pailin watched in shock. Even Nitaan's eyes widened. Kiita's body suddenly shot forward with incredible speed, leaving only a faint black shadow behind.
Kiita reappeared before Nitaan, standing between him and the woman in the sky.
The energy emanating from Kiita's body was stronger than ever. Although not yet at the level of Second word Engraver. Nitaan noticed a dazzling light appearing in the northern sky within Kiita's consciousness space. Numerous cracks began to spread, but at a certain point, they stopped, as if a slight touch would cause the sky to collapse.
Kiita wasn't threatening or aggressive. He simply walked over and cradled Nitaan's body, allowing him to lean against his body. Kiita lay on the ground, acting as a cushion for Nitaan to rest on. He gently licked Nitaan's face.
Princess Pailin watched this scene with a face full of astonishment and incomprehension. The middle-aged woman's smile widened even more than before.
A previously unseen emotion appeared on her usually expressionless face. Even Princess Pailin stared in awe.
"Excellent," the middle-aged woman grinned, as if the moonlight had been obscured. The beauty of her smile captivated every breath.
