Rin leads Tendou into a room deep within SCHALE, and in front of the duo, stood a peculiar looking machine, above it is an odd stone with runes, floating. She then expined to Tendou that nobody has ever used it, simir to the Shittim Chest, but she was told that the crafting chamber is able to craft anything that Tendou wanted, as long as he had a resource named a keystone, which Rin hands one over to him for an example before leaving.
"Arona. Does the Shittim Chest have any list on what options do I have to craft?"
"Sure, Sensei. I can update the list if you want."
"Because I am the only Zecter rider in this world, the full potential of Kabuto is not achievable."
"So you want to..."
"Yes. I'm recreating the other 9 Zecters."
"Are you going to use them, though?"
"At first, no. The Zecters will be distributed through the city by their own will, and will choose their own hosts."
"If you say so... But, Sensei. We need your Zecter to be compatible with the new ones first."
Just as Arona said that, the Kabuto Zecter flew towards the crafting pedestal, before Tendou hands over the rider belt.
"There you go."
Arona then instructed Tendou on how to use the crafting pedestal, and after spending that keystone that Rin gave, the crafting chamber recreates (and in a way, upgraded) the Kabuto belt and Zecter to fit into Kivotos' standards. On the Shittim Chest, a preview image of Kabuto's masked form is shown. The most notable difference is the ZECT logo is now changed into SCHALE.
"I should be able to craft the 9 other Zecters before I can rest for the day, Sensei."
"Good. Then let's get going."
The next day, Tendou called Ayane, telling her that he has a predicament for the day, and is unable to visit Abydos. After the call, he signalled for the new SCHALE Zecters to spread throughout Kivotos, to look for their hosts. Each of them flew, jumped or crawled away carrying the transformation belts, pistol grip, and braces. The Sasword Zecter is the only one that had to resort to cling onto the sword shaped transformation device, and then it flew away as it finds out that crawling through the city is risky.
Wanting to eat outside, Tendou cooked breakfast for Wakamo, and left the SCHALE building. Revving up the Kabuto Extender, Tendou speeds off through the metropolis of Kivotos, not noticing students in Gehenna Prefect uniforms spying on him with sniper rifles, until he stopped at a traffic light. From the mirrors, he can see the scope glints on the reflections. Knowing where to go, Tendou then coursed for Gehenna Academy.
Tendou's phone rings along the way, causing him to gnce at the phone holder that he installed on the Kabuto Extender. An incoming message from Haruka out of all people. Pulling up to respond, Tendou looked at what Haruka texted him at first.
Haruka: Sensei, are you free today?
Tendou: I'm heading to Gehenna District right now. I'm looking for a good pce to eat at.
Haruka: Gehenna?
Haruka: I'm also here. But can I really hang out with you, Sensei?
Tendou: Feel free, Haruka. And no self loathing around me, alright?
Haruka: Alright, Sensei. Where can we meet?
Tendou: In front of the district's metro station.
Haruka: I'll be waiting, Sensei.
After a few minutes on the highways that connected Kivotos' districts, Tendou finally reached Gehenna thanks to the Kabuto Extender's decent speed. After reaching the district, he noticed the rowdy students causing problems in some areas, particurly the arcades and the restaurants, which he avoided to avoid resort transforming into Kabuto to fend off a random ambush. He continued to drive around the much chaos-ridden district until he reached the main campus grounds where it is more regal in appearance, resembling Imperial German architecture. Looking at Arona's map, he had to go around the Prefect building to head to the metro station more safely, since the metro station is also prone to be raided by delinquents.
However, a Prefect Team car suddenly skidded to a halt in front of the Kabuto Extender, blocking it's path before a swarm of the Gehenna prefect team members surrounded Tendou. Not far off, Haruka (who thought Tendou is taking too long, decided to walk to find him) saw this, and hid behind a mppost.
"Hand over the belt." Said a blue haired girl, pointing her Luger P08 at Tendou's head.
"Is this how Gehenna's restaurants also treat their customers as a welcome?" Tendou asked.
The girl just sneered, as one of the prefect troopers approached Tendou, and before she is able to reach for the Rider Belt, Tendou spped her wrist causing her to hop back in pain, and point her rifle at Tendou, a look of disbelief in her face as she couldn't comprehend why a halo-less adult had the courage to attack a student of Kivotos.
"Have your elders taught you any manners? No touching beneath the belt."
"W-What!? That's not my intention--"
"Oh, a smart-aleck, I see." The blue haired girl whistled.
"If you want the belt so badly, then here you go." Tendou said, as he undid the belt, and handed it over to the girl.
"My name is Amau Ako. And now you will be in the custody of Gehenna's Disciplinary Committee, Sensei of SCHALE... or shall I say... Kabuto?"
Haruka continued to watch helplessly as Tendou was forcefully escorted into one of the cars, while Ako took the Kabuto Extender away. Fidgeting as she rummaged through her school bag, Haruka finds her phone, and immediately dialled Aru's number.
"A-Aru-Sama...!"
"...What!? The Prefects captured Tendou-Sensei!?" Aru shouted, alerting the entire FTF clubroom.
"Sensei got what!?" Ayane asked in disbelief.
"I... I got it, we'll be there with a pn! Keep following them until you see where they are keeping him!"
Shiroko approached Aru, and with a worried face, the tter told the former, "The Gehenna Prefect Team captured Tendou-Sensei, and is now bringing him to an isoted area."
"On what charges?"
"Eh?" Aru gave a confused smirk.
"If he caused a crime in Gehenna, it makes sense that the Prefects would arrest even him." Ayane replied.
"It is their district after all." Mutsuki continued.
"So? Answer the question, President." Kayoko sighed.
"W-we need to save Sensei, and quick!" Nonomi plead.
"F-First of all, H-Haruka herself didn't know what Sensei got captured for."
"And where was she when she saw Sensei get captured?" Shiroko asked.
"Near the Prefect's HQ."
Kayoko then raised a brow, "Seriously? Something's fishy."
"Why is it, Kayoko?" Serika asked.
"If he got captured so close to home, why didn't they keep him at the HQ? Why to an isoted area? Not even Hina would do that."
"Now that you mention it..." Mutsuki widened her eyes slowly in realization.
"A-are you implying..." Ayane gulped.
"I hate my intuition sometimes... But I think it's Ako's doing this time, acting without authorization by Hina."
"What are we going to do now? Raid the pce?" Shiroko asked.
"You do that, and the GSC will mark you as a terrorist. We need a covert way to free Sensei." Ayane replied, as she adjusted her gsses.
"I got it! What about if we go in as Prefect members ourselves?" Nonomi raised her hand as she made the suggestion.
"Eh?"
During all this they forgot the fact that Hoshino is the only one within the FTF that is absent in the clubroom. When they realized it, Serika pnted a note against the clubroom door saying that the entire club and PS68 are going to Gehenna for a "cultural exchange" trip.
At a seedy part of Gehenna, inside an office at the top floor of an abandoned building, Tendou is seated in front of Ako, who gave him an authoritative look.
"Do you know why you are here?" Ako asked.
"Do tell me. Do you have any authority to arrest me, beforehand?"
"Heh, who needs authority when it comes to picking the best outcome?" Ako asked back.
Ako then revealed that in a while from now, a treaty will be held at Trinity, in which said school will cease their generational feud at long st, and that Sensei is one of the potential individuals that may affect the treaty for the better or the worst, hence why she captured him. Not long afterwards, a trooper brought in two servings of store-bought bentos, for Ako and Tendou to savor during her negotiation.
"Why and how do you become Kabuto? What is your true purpose in Kivotos?"
"A foolish question. Do you ask the sun why does it shine?" Tendou asked back, with an analogy.
Ako decided to not poke further. After they finished their meals, and about to continue their talks, this time about the treaty, suddenly the building's old arm system is tripped, causing the prefect troopers stationed inside to go all the way to the parking lot underground. Ako immediately ordered a couple of troopers to escort him safely to another safehouse, before she herself escaped with the belt still on her person.
Downstairs, a group of Gehenna delinquents approach the abandoned building after Kaiser, who hired them, informed them of a high value target inside. To avoid direct fighting, they start off by entering the underground parking lot, pnning to shoot their way up to the top floor. At the same time, a hijacked prefect car pulled up near the building. Out comes the FTF sans Hoshino, as well as Problem Solver 68, in Prefect Uniforms of various sizes, who then went inside the building via the front door. Seeing that the elevator is being used, Aru and Serika begrudgingly scaled the stairs after a failed rock-paper-scissors match. The rest awaited the elevator to stop at the ground floor, just in case that Tendou is inside.
In the elevator, Tendou could hear gunshots ringing through the building as the basement is pgued with combat between the prefects and the hired delinquents. Seeing this chance, Tendou kicked the prefect troopers in the back of their necks, knocking them out before he looted one of them for his handcuff keys and freed himself. Knowing that it would be risky to go all the way down, Tendou stopped at the floor he is at, and walked to the stairs, with one of the downed troopers' AR-70 in hand. When descending the stairwell, Tendou can see a pair of cat ears, and knowing who it is, aimed the rifle towards them without revealing himself.
"Where is Sensei!?" Aru asked.
"Identify yourselves!" The 'adult' ordered.
"It's Katou!" Serika replied.
"And Ryou!" Aru continued.
"Mackerel?" The voice asked, causing both Serika and Aru to leave their mouths hanging in confusion.
"Talk! Mackerel or pork!? Which do you like!?"
Upon realization of who was speaking to them, The two ascended the stairs by a couple of steps, and see Tendou's face on the staircase above.
"It is I."
The three went down to the ground floor, and were met by a dumbfounded team standing in front of the opened elevator, housing two unconscious Prefect Troopers. However, after the final footstep hits the ground floor, they turned their gaze from the elevator to the staircase, and there stood Aru, Serika and Tendou. Haruka immediately ran towards them, and lunged for a hug with Aru and Tendou.
"Eh? Where's the belt, Sensei?" Nonomi asked, realizing that Tendou is not wearing the Rider Belt.
"That Ako took it."
"We secured the bike already. Let's head out, we'll catch up using the hijacked prefect car we drove here." Ayane said via the comm network that Tendou gave the FTF and Problem Solver 68 to use.
"Alright..."
However, the moment everyone walked out of the building, they were met with a group of prefect troopers, led by a dark skinned girl holding a Kar98-K.
"Where do you think you're going? And those outfits don't fool us, before you ask." She said, pointing at Nonomi, who pouted in disappointment.
"We're freeing Sensei! We need him back at Abydos!" Serika shouted.
"We're under direct orders to bring him back to the HQ. The delinquents that attacked already made this safehouse compromised. Oh, and before you think of fighting me..."
The girl then pointed to the belt she is wearing.
"That's...!"
"SCHALE Sensei's belt, which he used to transform into Kabuto, according to intel."
"Don't tell me, you intend to become Kabuto and apprehend us like this?" Shiroko asked, her finger nearly pulling the trigger fully.
"And here I thought you were morons, thinking those disguises would work."
"Iori. You won't become Kabuto." Kayoko said.
"Huh? And what made you the expert, former member Onikata Kayoko?"
"Just see. Summon the Zecter." Tendou said.
Iori (The dark skinned girl) raised a brow in confusion, before she raised her hand upwards, in the same attitude as whenever Tendou summoned the Kabuto Zecter. Soon after, the zecter flew through the area, navigating through the alleys and prefab buildings effortlessly, and went straight towards Iori from behind. However, instead of catching the zecter as expected, the beetle-like device rammed Iori in the back of her head, before using it's horn to pull the belt away from Iori like a lever, and brought it over to Tendou with it's small legs.
"W...Why!?"
"The chosen one... is me." Tendou replied, in the same manner as when he first caught the Zecter after Kagami failed. "Henshin!"
"HENSHIN"
Tendou then transformed into Kabuto, before immediately pulling the horn of the zecter. Knowing exactly what is going to happen, the rescuers immediately dive into cover.
"Cast off!"
"CAST OFF"
The bulky parts of the masked form then spring themselves off from Kabuto's body before the horn on his chin rise to his forehead. The parts crashed onto the nearby walls, and onto some of the prefect troopers standing beside Iori who reflexively ducked down to avoid them.
"CHANGE BEETLE"
"Y...You...!" Iori bit her lip in anger.
"Serika, Shiroko, Nonomi, provide suppresing fire. Problem Solvers, block off their escape route from the sides." Kabuto commanded, to which he received a "Roger!" in unison from both groups, who discarded their Prefect Team disguises, revealing their original uniforms underneath.
The allied group then went on to fight the troopers, while Kabuto and Iori lunged at each other, aiming for the first strike in melee. After a bit of a struggle between the two, both lost their grips on their respective weapons, forcing them to fight hand-to-hand. Both were evenly matched, as Iori managed to dodge most of Tendou's counterattacks with her nimble body, while Tendou managed to parry most of her attacks before attempting to counterstrike. In the end, both Tendou and Iori performed a standing roundhouse kick, which ends up swiping Iori's shoe off her foot, exposing it.
"W-What the!?"
Caught off guard, Kabuto performed a leg sweep, causing Iori to trip and fall, however Kabuto catches her, and pulled her close to him.
"Will you yield?"
"...." Iori's face is steaming red, due to the way Kabuto is holding her now, even though it is by accident. It's like a dancing couple.
"Hands off her, now!" Ako's voice is heard, as she took aim at Kabuto, whilst at the same time, the rescue group had already taken down the Prefect Ptoon that Iori led before the Problem Solver members escaped without the FTF members the moment they see a purple aura in the distance.
Kabuto then let Iori go, not before putting her shoe back onto her foot.
"I-I can do it myself, y-you stupid adult!"
Kabuto didn't answer. However, he sets his eyes on Ako.
"It seems like those Abydos students are dead set on wanting you back. It's admittedly impressive to see them being so steadfast on doing so. And now to complete our unfinished negotiation earlier... Please leave them. After all, they are just a small school without a student council."
"...You have no right to lead people."
"What!?"
"Ako." An authoritative tone spoke behind Ako.
Shakily turning around, she then met eye contact with a petite white haired girl, who is presumably around Hoshino's height. Like most Gehenna students, she has a pair of horns, but in this case she also has a pair of wings on her back. Bat-like wings, which reminded Kabuto of Kiva during the Rider-Sentai war. Slung on her back is a modified MG42 machine gun.
"P-President Hina!?"
"That's the Prefect Team's president? I've been waiting for this--" Shiroko attempted to march towards Hina, before being stopped by Serika.
"N-no, are you mad!? We're gonna be in prison if we assault her directly!"
"We did take down most of her ptoons..." Nonomi reasoned.
"F-fair enough, but still! S-She's on a whole other level...!" Serika gulped in terror as Hina marched towards Ako calmly, with her cold, calcuting expression that hid away the menacing aura within her.
"Shiroko. Stand down. All of you too." Kabuto commanded.
The Kabuto Zecter then leaves the rider belt, reverting Kabuto back to Tendou before it flew overhead circling the air above everyone.
"May I ask what are you doing here, Ako? And why so many of the troopers are downed?"
"I-I'm here to arrest troublemakers... The Problem Solvers... Yes, them! They were involved!"
"Oh? Where are they now, then?"
Ako then looked back to the already messy safehouse building, to see that the Problem Solvers has retreated to who knows where.
"S-So, I-I can expin everything, President--"
"No need, Ako. The Zecter recorded everything." Tendou said, the revetion hitting Ako like a freight truck.
The Kabuto Zecter then flew back down, and using it's modified front lights that Arona tampered, projected a holographic recording of what happened for the st few hours. As minutes passed, Hina's patience is noticeably waning slowly, while Ako is shivering in complete fear.
"I guess we finally came to an understanding. You did this for the sake of identifying and removing Gehenna's risk factor."
"Oh, is that so...?" Ako whimpered with a slight hint of relief.
"But, Ako, we're the Prefect Team, not the Student Council. SCHALE, the Tea Party… the General Student Council President… Those matters are best left to the raccoons of the Pandemonium Society. We’ll discuss the details when I get back. Cut all communications and take some time to reflect in the club’s office, Ako."
"...Yes, President."
However, the FTF is still not out of the woods yet. Despite the Prefect Team's unauthorized mission to capture Tendou/Kabuto, and causing chaos in the vicinity of one of their safehouses to the point it got compromised, the FTF are still guilty of pulling off an unauthorized armed mission in Gehenna even if it meant saving Tendou. Hearing this, the Kabuto Zecter immediately flew back to Tendou, who caught it. Before both can make another move, however...
"Uhe~ You kids are so cruel! Leaving this Oji-San alone back at school to have a cultural exchange!"
Both Tendou and Hina looked over to the source of the voice. Walking from the direction of the metro station, is undoubtedly Hoshino, lethargically walking towards the commotion.
"This is a little intense for a cultural exchange, wasn't it? What's wrong with all of you?" Hoshino asked.
"You're... Takanashi Hoshino..." Hina's demeanor changed ever so slightly upon seeing the heterochromatic maiden.
"H-Hoshino Senpai!? What took you so long!?" Serika asked angrily.
"Sorry, sorry, I was just taking a little nap..."
"A nap?" Shiroko asked, but her question fell on deaf ears as Hoshino walked closer to Hina.
"Alright, I don't know what happened, but everyone in the Foreclosure Task Force is present. So, shall we try this again, Head Prefect?" Hoshino asked Hina nonchantly.
"You've changed a lot since your first year. I almost didn't recognize you."
"Uhe? Have we met before?"
Tendou listened in to what Hina is trying to expin. Apparently, during their first years Hina was a member of the Gehenna Intelligence Committee, in which she noted down the potential threats that could harm Gehenna. Hoshino was one on of the individuals on top of the list. However something happened which caused her notoriety to died down. Taking one more gnce at Tendou, Hina bowed to Hoshino in apology, then ordered the troops to return to HQ to recover, much to Iori's chagrin.
"Looks like my list just got updated... You're an interesting brawler... Tendou Souji-Sensei." Iori said as she walked away.
Before leaving, Hina approached Tendou, and Shiroko noticed that she is whispering something to him. After she is done, Hina left the area with the troops, allowing safe passage for Tendou and the FTF to return to Abydos.
"What did she whisper to you, Sensei?" Shiroko asked.
"We'll discuss this back in the Clubroom. Go back, I'll catch up."
The Kabuto Extender pulls up in front of an old shed in one of the dipidated, chaos-ridden blocks of Gehenna's district. Entering the shed, Tendou sees a familiar purple haired girl watering potted weeds.
"Is this what you wanted to show me?"
"O-Oh, Sensei! Y-You didn't have to--"
Tendou then handed Haruka a spray bottle, filled with water.
"That watering can won't do efficiently. With this you only need a few good sprays."
"T-T-Thank you, Sensei... for giving this to trash like me--"
"Haruka. You are not trash. Like the rest of the students, all of you are this world's treasure."
"I-I... Thank you, Sensei..."
"Now let's tend to these pnts, shall we?"
"R-Right!"
