Meeting Sin

  Chapter 2

I honestly thought it would take years or decades to build this spell, not ten hours. I had only expected a small layout or even just to see if it could be a theory or not, ‘Researcher’ and ‘Archmage’ helped a massive amount if not doing nearly all the work, but I didn't expect to not only complete the spell but improve upon it as well after only ten hours.

I had some time before the meeting so I read through the equipment report. Other than the undead commanders and generals none of the undead soldiers weapons or equipment were magic or special, they looked like decent finely made armor and weapons, but were basic mass-produced gear overall. The high-tier undead have auras that make victims undead they can control, and the generals even have to be defeated twice to fully be defeated.

I believe weapons and accessories can be enchanted for the mid-tier undead to recreate the effects of the higher-tiers of undead but the difference between them is that they won’t be brought back at full strength and the created undead can’t be controlled unless someone spends magic to subjugate them. The issue would be manpower, also I wonder what the differences are between charmed, coerced, living and undead enchanters. So I think that’s four enchanters of similar abilities I need to mix and match those conditions.

“Ma’am, I'm finished with the enchanting process.” Trist’s voice rang out through the space. “Hm? Very well.” Entering and exiting the mental space felt similar to moving through water like when I entered this world, and similar to falling asleep and waking up. So it probably looked like I fell asleep at the desk and just woke up.

I created a small mirror in my hand and looked at the new eye. This body’s normal eye is pink, this eye though looked kind of like a six petal pink flower with a blue dot at the end of each petal and a black dot in the center. “Appraise, Clairvoyance, Identify, Future Sight, Mana Sight, Soul sight, Can you move around a little and cast some illusion magic. I’d like to test out this eye’s abilities a little.” There was a faint red light emanating from him and I could see magic flowing through his body. The details from identify and appraise don’t show up as a screen to read but just inserts itself in my head.

“Yes Ma’am ” He said as he stepped back a bit and created a small illusion of a dragon flying around him. I could see the magic energy move around him and form a tether to the dragon. There was a transparent dragon flying in front of the first and the illusion itself had this orange-ish aura around it and I could even control how far into the future I could see the range being from half a second all the way up to ten seconds.

“It’s going to take some getting used to but it seems like I can focus magic in the eye and interrupt either the whole eye or individual functions. Thanks, that was a good call.” I said as I looked around and experimented a little more. “Thank you, ma’am. Also the meeting starts in a few minutes.” Trist said as he bowed slightly. “Oh, right, we should head that way.” I said as a faint light trail lit up the ground. And the spell I worked on basically made me untouchable by nearly everything unless I wished to be, so no matter what I should be safe from the other generals, the only one I likely have to worry about is the king.

“It would take far too long to walk there since the king’s castle is in the southern continent of ischyróteros, so we should teleport to the meeting hall.” Trist suggested.

Ischyróteros, isn’t that a Greek word? Hopefully there’s not too much more influenced or even modeled after Greek legends. Things are going to be very troublesome if there is. Anything on the level of titans or greater would be suicidal.

We had teleported while I was lost in thoughts but some voices snapped me out of it. The hall was huge and barely lit by the many magical light sconces. I heard the conversation before I could see in the room fully as I walked in their direction.

‘Where’s Trist he’s usually one of the first to arrive’ That voice sounds like that of the winged man in this body’s memories.

‘Maybe this so-called master of his is going to show up for once.’ That’s Adamit isn’t it? The ‘Greed’ general, sounds like he’s getting impatient.

‘Hav-ve we ev-ver met this maz-ter? Do they ev-ven exis-st, or is-s it some kind of-f bit?’ Buzzing? Oh right on earth Beelzebub the sin of gluttony was also known as the lord of the flies. Here his name is Aparra and is a fly monster

‘I assure you she does exist, I recruited her myself after all’

‘Her I think that's the first real piece of information we got about the creator of our Homunculi aids. Though your little spy Levy there probably knows all about her. Care to share, levy. Huh?’

  …

  ‘What do you mean? Tch.’

‘What’s-s up with you B-brog, normal you-zt are howling at any inconv-venience.’ A heavy deep growl like sigh echoed around then spoke,

‘Not. Now. I’m in NO mood.’ A new voice said it was very deep and gravelly. ‘So what’s going to hap-’ the impatient voice was cut off as I walked into the room with Trist following behind me, the hourly bell beginning to toll, I sat down in the only empty chair, all eyes on me before the tolling bell even stopped.

The table was a fancy stone half circle that’s built into the ground, a throne sat in the inner curve where the black winged man sat, who looked at me with a smug smile.

  • Name- Lucifer ‘Luci’

  •
  • Race- Daemon

  •
  • Job- Demon King/General ‘Pride’

  •
  • Age- Unknown

  •

Now that I was actually able to see him in person, he looked a bit different than in the images that were shown from the crystal. He’s tall and thin teetering on the edge of unnaturally so, just under seven ft. and probably weighed 150 or 160 pounds, his black hair usually behind him and long enough to scrape the ground hanging over his right shoulder curled onto the seat of the throne. He had on black pointed platform shoes, black skin tight pants, his white shirt though was extremely baggy with the exceptions of the holes for his arms which were tight enough to hold on to his arm just below the elbow and head which seemed barely wide enough to fit almost like a Howl cosplay. His wings sprouted from his back and rested on the arms of his throne, a black corruption infesting outward onto his feathers, a veiny pattern now receding slowly off the feathers and into his back until only a small hint of black remained visible.

“I was not expecting you to show, I would have put on a more familiar face if I had known.” He said, his voice and tone was gentle and sweet and part of me wanted to relax at hearing it, but most of me found it oh so disturbing and felt I needed to do all I could just to survive. It was enough to start a chill at the bottom of my spine. I kicked my feet up on the table and waved my hand to say it’s fine.

Starting at the other end of the outer curve of the table was a girl. She was tall, taller than me by a head or two but still short in this room of big monsters, maybe six and half feet. Her build was fit and slender like a climber or dancer. It’s hard to tell if her skin had scales or not, but it was light gray with hints of deep blue. Her eyes were closed and a hood covered most of her head and face, but she looked either worried or annoyed. The small tuft of hair I can see was darkened by her hood but looked like a very dark green.

  • Name- Leviathan ‘Levy’

  •
  • Race- Sea Dragon Royal

  •
  • Job- General ‘Envy’/Spy/Assassin

  •
  • Age- Unknown

  •

Well that’s concerning. There’s a translucent ethereal string attached to both Leviathan’s and Lucifer’s heads. It’s likely a telepathy bond based on the way the line flashed white similarly to an audiograph. But from the memories the memory crystal gave me, I know that the two thrones had a discreet telepathic circuit that runs between them. Leviathan is in charge of information so it does make sense to have a discreet and direct line of communication to the king especially if they suspect and want to watch for someone here, so why the semi-open display of using telepathy. Oh one of them could be replaced and is trying to keep up the act by using the others help to act.

To her right was a fly-type monster humanoid in appearance with two insectoid legs sticking out from his ribs, four insectoid wings on his back, two human eyes, two bulbous fly eyes on the side of his head slightly behind his ears, there was also a fifth eye in his forehead. He was tall just over 7 ft. and gaunt and starved, his armor looks like a carapace and his overall color is black except his eyes which all glowed a sickly yellow. He looked at me with shock.

  • Name- Appara

  •
  • Race- Insect Spirit

  •
  • Job- General ‘Gluttony’

  •
  • Age- Unknown

  •

To his right was a large golden buddhist even taller than Appara but not by much, he had cracks all over his body with larger cracks oozing a red liquid, he looked at me with suspicion and judgment.

  • Name- Adamit

  •
  • Race- Curse

  •
  • Job- General ‘Greed’ /Minister

  •
  • Age- Unknown

  •

Appara and Adamit often work together don’t they. Their roles are to undermine the economic and physical strength of enemies through subterfuge. For a long term plan it’s not bad but for quick decisive victories their talents would be useful elsewhere.

To his right was an absolute drop dead gorgeous woman, she was like 6 ft. crimson hair with black tips down to the middle of her back, a tight black high slit backless dress, shiny white elbow length gloves, and black thigh high heel boots. Every bit of her clothing accentuated every bit of her proportions, though she seemed scared and panicked.

  • Name- Anaphiel ‘Ana’

  •
  • Race- Strigoi

  •
  • Job- General ‘Lust’/Medic

  •
  • Age- Unknown

  •

Why is she so nervous? She of all the generals have no reason to be, she’s even more untouchable than I am. Oh. Yeah, if that’s who I think it is, she would be the only of us who wouldn’t know how to start off in an isekai. I wonder if-

“You’re“ late.” Came a growl at me interrupting my train of thought. To her right and my left was a Lycan. He was the tallest one here at least 8 ft. tall, with silvery gray fur and red eyes, he wore dirty brown loincloth metal bracers and had a huge battle axe but that’s it, he’s the only one glaring at me with pure malice.

  • Name- Ambrogio ‘Brog’

  •
  • Race- Curse

  •
  • Job- General ‘Wrath’/Commander

  •
  • Age- Unknown.’

  •

Anaphiel and Ambrogio make up the bulk of the army and medical units, but both are acting weird from what I know of, it’s likely that both of them are-.

“Oh, you actually know her.” Adamant asked, interrupting my thoughts, but was ignored, so I stared toward Ambrogio.

“No I’m not, I’m right on time.” I said already getting tired of this and swinging my feet up on the table.

“Shouldn’t you introduce yourself since it seems only King Luci has met you before.” Levy said, finally opening her eyes which were murky black.

“Don’t wanna.” A barely stifled laugh came from the throne. “It is rare that even I see you Bel, something must really be urgent if you are here, and what is up with your eye it is certainly new” Lucifer said.

“Just another modification, and I was feeling hyperactive, so yeah, came here.” a yawn escaped me as I finished speaking.

“YOU SAY THAT BUT YOU’RE ALREADY HALF ASLEEP YOU BITCH.” Ambrogio yelled, grabbing my robe and lifting me out of the chair and off my feet. I only responded out of habit.

“You dick.” Quickly catching myself I added. “Just shut up and give it a rest.” I say. As soon as I called him a dick shock and confusion showed on his face for a second then he dropped me. That told me everything I needed and I couldn’t help but grin, and the fact that he’s conscious means~. I suddenly saw the future, a claw slashing across my throat. I pulled my rapier and stabbed it left, and into the palm of his hand. Sighs and groans escaped from around the table, but were quickly replaced with oh’s and intrigue.

“Very well.” Lucifer said. We pulled our hands back, and Lucifer waved his hand and then the ground disappeared and we were both falling and landed in what was a basic horror background. A dark foggy decaying forest, with a barely visible full moon due to thick clouds.
