Yonne - A day after her escape

  She had been caught- it happened right as the sun was rising, she accidentally walked into one of their flashlight rays, but she was able to fake innocence and blame it all on Lower-M, who was often caught impersonating others. Her exact words were, “ Help! Lower-M captured me! He put me out there in the forest, and I had no clue what to do!” The guards, somehow believing her story, capture Lower-M instead and that was the last anyone ever saw of him. Right now, she was sitting in her room, waiting for feeding time like everyone else did. She thought about Lower-B, and how she didn’t know their real name, as the caretakers said “Your name is your weapon- don’t let anyone know what it is until we say you can.” Of course, stupid Lower-A immediately tried telling everyone their name- Annabel. And that was the last anyone heard of them. Their story, however, inspired everyone else to never, ever tell anyone each other’s name. Lower-D was the one who got the most scared of Lower-A’s story, prompting them to tell everyone to call them Lower, without the D. Which was quite helpful, as Lower-Da got to change their name to Lower-D.
